  1. Can I install EZWIN on windows 8?
  2. My SA 9mm 1911is having light primer hits. I am getting some misfires and the primers of the fired rounds have primers that look like they have pimples for primer strikes. I have had some work done to the trigger and the leaf spring changed. Main spring, may have been clipped but not sure. The hammer does not have that nice, smacking sound when dry firing. I shot the same reloads with my hi powwr yesterday, wondering if perhaps I had not properly seated the primers, but it had no misfires and all primer hits were dimpled perfectly.
  3. My order is about two week weeks out now. Paid for them today. A pleasure to deal with and I am looking forward to using up this coming order so I can order more
  4. It took me awhile to get used to my 1050 too. Watch all of the actions of the machine as you stroke the handle. Run a single case through several times and just observe. Not sure if you are running the case trimmer at the same time as the reloading process but I would run as a seperate operation only on brass that needs it. I use the Dillon gauge and toss all the long ones into a box until there are enough to trim.
  5. Same at our range. We run matches at the end of the range, right up against the berm. Public/open hours are the main concern, with an RO and SO both watching the shooter we get a pass for matches. Thats why we are baffling the entire range and doing it as a clear span with no supports in the middle. It will make us have to be aware of the side supports when setti g up matches, but it is not too difficult. The range overhead pictured above is 56' by 35' desiged for our 50' range. The next two will be designed for 75' ranges with slightly wider bays. Same basic layout and support system.
  6. True, it does suck, but more and more this will be an issue for other clubs as well.
  7. We are almost done with another range. Notice no supports in the shooting lanes keeps it very usable for action shooting
  8. So, we have been at work on our range since 2009. Berms raised to 20-25ft. 100 yard range Has been fully baffled using combination of steel baffles that span 40 feet along with "floor joist" sytem. The 50' range is started and is spanned 36 feet utilizing steel joists and girders to suspend floor joist system. I will post pics soon. We lucked out by having a member who is a retired engineer who happens to love a challenge and lives within 10 mins of the range. Mr. Vargas would do well by hiring him as his New England consultant. We have a few dedicated members who volunteer and a BOD that knows we have to do this work. NOT CHEAP! With out free labor probably would not be being done this way and we would be a "stand here and shoot there only club". As a multi year project I figure it to be about 250k total.

    Which one?

Skeet Give the spouse your gear hand-me-downs or buy her new? Buy her new Watch life time tv with her when she asks or clean the garage?
  10. The object is to be moving while engaging targets, only being stationary to reload or engage steel. Feel free to post some times or comment Move and reload practice.ppt
  11. So, let's see some close up photos or drawings of the evil device for construction/design purposes
  12. Shooting through barrels is just a bad idea!
  13. I have done it quite a few times in the past. Never had one detonate. BUT stopped doing it quite a while ago as it just seems like an accident waiting to happen. Just not worth the few pennies. I know it adds up, but how much money do we "waste" on other stuff in this sport?
  14. I have two sister in laws that write everything they do... I just made a cake... I just went jogging... I am going to clean the house... I just pooped... I just walked into the hallway... Etc. My God, how do they get anything done and more to the point, who cares. I just vented
  15. I saw your question about tennis elbow. I have had it many years. I ice it directly with an ice cube til it melts, do all the stretches we were taught in PT. My last PT person really dug into my tendens when massaging them and although it was pretty painful during it helped the most of any PT so far

  16. I always come here first when I have a question and do a search. If I need more input or advise I put it out there and like magic ... knowledge is found!
  17. Yes, I was thinking of pit three, which is 75 feet long by 35 feet wide
  18. I am trying to put together quick moving stages, with some degree of difficulty and minimal set up (limited personel AKA: often set up alone) Shot gun Slugfest.ppt
  19. I built some for Bass River Rod and Gun a couple seasons ago. Everyone loves them. Light and easy to set up. Made with a 2x4 frame with the corners reinforced with small triangle of plywood. I secure them by driving a medium or heavy duty wire fence post and attaching them with a few screws.
  20. I have had the same experience with it being very consistent. Check your powder measure. I had an issue with n133 and ended up polishing the funnel.
  21. I ran out of lube once during a session and noticed quite a difference in smoothness of operation. I recommend it highly
