size 2040. Never have that problem again and Yes, Virginia, you can tumble loaded rounds with hollowpoints and not have them stick in the cavities.....

Ultimate sorter works really well if you are doing 5 gallon buckets of brass. Sort out the .22 brass and gunk first. How much is your time worth.....

Post where you are so someone that knows the 1050 can come over and help you set it up. It is most likely one or two things that they can trouble shoot while being in front of the press.....or call DILLON!

Pretty sure our team is staying there as well. Sounds like this should be a fun trip!

Berrys 185 HBRN. 4.6 VV 310. OAL around 1.220 or so. Crimp .462
Around 145-150 PF and will function with stock springs, but a 10lb spring is best.
Shoots well at 25yds as well.....

100000 or less a year is around $2500. It goes up as your numbers and exposure goes up....

shellplate too tight?

320 is notorious for variations on lots. A lot of people I know have gotten burnt not chronoing and just running their normal load. Bump it up....

Hang in there Butch!. Start planning next years matches! good luck

Nope. Any competitor that needs it to compete would do the same thing if they had the cash and spent a year without. The gumps that buy it and sit on it and dont shoot are the problem. What I don't like is that Midway decides that I can't buy what I can afford. That is what sucks.

I like Redding 1st, and then Lee 2nd. If you roll size the brass first, you can use whatever you want, but using the Redding and case lube give you the same results..

You dont. You make sure the primer slide is clean and you can add a little graphite. Put the primer slide all the way forward like it would be if you pulled the handle down. Put the primer slide arm actuator down and run the toolhead down and make sure the arm is in the slot on the primer slide. Bottom it out and then lift it up a little bit. Lock down the screw. Now run the handle a couple of times. The slide should be smooth. If it is not, then adjust the arm up a little bit until the arm quits "snapping" back and forth and it smooth. You will learn the sweet spot after a while.
That is it....No arcane magic or chicken blood required....

Lee, make a dummy round to figure out your OAL. Once you do that then work up some loads. I think it will be fine...

Get some automotive vaccum tubing that will fit and keep it on the bench. When you cut a piece super glue it on so it will last longer....

Look at the primer slide arm attached on the Primer tube safety housing. there are two springs, one longer than the other, kept on with a long pin sitting horizontal. Take a picture before you take them off. Put new ones on. Look at them. You will see a difference, I know I did. Once I did that, all priming problems I was having went away after adjusting the white tab as described above. The timing is important with the primer slide, and feds are softer, so you were mangling them moreso than the other primers.
Good luck,

Cool. Checking it out now....

Replace your springs on your primer slide activator arm. Then try loading with both primers and see how it goes.

I used to shoot the Steel Challenge in Piru religiously.....it was the Big Show.
I now will not miss the US Steel Nats in Florida. It is at the same range every year, ran professionally and courteously by a great team.
I have not been to a Steel challenge since I think since it moved to Florida due to how it is ran. I heard better things about the last one out west but I also heard that the range did not want it back either.......
My .02 $ FWIW........

Rimfire has been coming into the stocking LGS around here. A lot is sitting on the shelf.....I believe prices will adjust this fall into winter....

Very well made, accurate for what it is, works. Buddy has one and we can find nothing to complain about them, except perhaps the tag, but you get what you pay for....

Very fast powder. Good for 45 and 38 special target loads. I don't know if I would use it for 9mm, especially 147 or higher due to pressure concerns....
