Latest I have heard as of this week is that it looks like USPSA will get settled up with the Range and it will actually take place in St. George......
I am on the fence as I want to shoot it this year but I may have to decide on whether to go to this one or The Briley West Coast Steel Championship at the birthplace of SC.....Piru......which is the next weekend after.......

Its the powder. You are using a slower powder that doesn't fully burn up, especially in .45acp. I used it when shooting hot bowling pin loads. Look for CLAYS or CLAYDOT, tightgroup, and W 231 in that order. They are faster than unique and will give you less felt recoil than Unique. Any one of the bullets listed will work well. Just understand that the Coated lead will be more accurate than the plated.
Good luck,

Be very careful with CLAYS/CLAYDOT. 125PF will work, 130PF and up will get sticky extraction and other problems.....there is lots of data on the forum about this.

I have custom lenses in my rudys and have two more frames there now getting made along with my Randolph Rangers I got from Allan. With the info I got from Allan on my shooting glasses I knew what to tell Rudy for the new lenses there as well for my eyes for pistol shooting. Just sharing what I learned.
Good luck,

Call Allan Lehman at Lehman Optical. He will interview you and your needs and make recommendations for what you need.

Replace your two springs on the primer slide assy. Check your rubber bushing for rubbing in the channel and slowing it down. Clean it all up. Replace your blue primer tip on the primer tube. That should take care of it.....

They all break there. Eventually. They used to warrantee it. That is why the Forcht conversion was developed.
Lots of info on the forum here when you search.....
Good luck,

I guess try to add a little more crimp on the cbc and try that. You might also lengthen out the OAL a little so it still fits in your mags and see if that helps. If you are not putting the bullet in the case straight up and it kicks out to the side it will cause that too.
Good luck,

Ten minutes with a leade reamer and you can load whatever oal you want.....

Uh.....I hate to ask, but do they fit your barrel.....Do they chamber and shoot regardless of the gauge? If so, you can use them for practice.
What is your OAL and crimp. Which bullet. Several variables but CBC brass loads just fine and shoots no different than any other brass, plus it doesn't have the tight primer pocket like S&B ( which doesn't mean much since you have a 1050.....lol).
We are here to help....

That sucks Zach. Gotta have priorities though...LOL. One year I flew out to Kali for the Challenge. Got there on Monday, Monday night I got the call late that my son was gonna have emergency surgery.....Flew back the next morning...got to enjoy the I 5 traffic going to LAX....Most expensive 24 hours I have had yet...LOL. The guys running the challenge kept my entry for the next year.....I appreciated that. The important stuff comes first. We can always play later. See ya down the road at another match. If you haven't made hotel reservations you better get going. They are going fast.......

I wear rudys with prescription lenses on duty and off. Best sunglasses I have had and am getting some for night driving as well. Worth the money and dont fog up like others.

I shoot coated lead and lead lfp in my schuemann 1x24 AET barrel and in my open gun as well. They will be more accurate if they are a well made lead bullet hard enough and using the correct burn rate powder. I am running Tightgroup with these at minor power factor. The 122 LFP load shoots 3in at 50 yds.....so yes, go for it. Every barrel is different....see what works in your barrel best.

Some do....be prepared. Just ship ground to the hotel in care of yourself. No different than what business people do everyday. You can track it and still take your allowance in luggage too.

FYI CLAYS and other large flake powders will bridge and stick in low charges below 3.0 grains unless you put an aquarium pump or something that will keep the powder moving. Just be careful as you will have Poofers and hopefully not chamber and fire another round after......

Hi there.
I am taking a break. 80 hours a week got old....Feel free to PM me.

Load down until your load will lock back your slide on last round. Then add .02 grains. If 2.7 wont lock back but 2.9 does.....Load a bunch up at 3.1 and you should be good to go....

I was there and looked at them. I have large hands and the regular magwell felt good. The undercut fit me well, and the grips are rough enough for me. I ordered two....to start with. I have been happy with the work Matt Cheely has done for me. I will buy his products.
That was my take......

4.0 231 with a 115 jhp at 1.120 oal is a 115 pf load that will go through the same hole at 35yds with a good 1911 barrel. It is the bullet you are using...

You CAN electro nickel it though......

4.2 grains, 1.230 OAL 230 grain bullet. Will run 790 + in every gun and feel nice and soft.....

Checking every 100 rounds when you load primers ensures that if you do have a problem you won't have a lot of problems.....
It is nice to KNOW that your ammo is ok.....

Having had that problem it was fixed by a smith that adjusted my ejector and extractor. I have not had the problem in many years....It wasn't a power factor or impulse issue...
