  1. Another vote for CMC. I have the flat trigger and RainerArms has them on sale for $135 right now.
  2. Does getting the kit with the striker make a huge difference in reliability?
  3. I have finally decided to purchase a DK Trigger Kit, but I cannot decide on whether to get the Custom or the Basic Kit. Is the extra money worth getting a light weight striker? It is going on a Glock g34 gen4 mostly used in 3gun and IDPA.
  4. Is the DK trigger legal for IDPA SSP?
  5. FWIW, the stock spring works fine me in my +5, so you may be able to use the spring as for now. Thanks for the heads up. I might use that until I can get it replaced.
  6. I'm an idiot. I was installing my MOA magazine tube extension and got to trimming the spring. I trimmed it 16 inches past the stock magazine tube instead of past the magazine extension. /facepalm
  7. Keep in mind that the manual says it is intended for 3dram loads, and this forum generally advises that for all inertia guns. You may get it to work that way, mind works with 2 3/4's dram as well, but it probably pushing it and I wouldn't use that in a match. That is good to know. I will probably stick with 3dram loads then. Does shot size make a difference?
  8. Anyone have a link to a video or a write up on how to polishing the factory magazine tube?
  9. I took it out this morning. I bought about 6 different 2 3/4 shells to run through the gun for some testing. I used the gun pretty straight out of the box. I didn't even clean the grease or lube it. It ran 2 3/4 dram rio, remington, winchester 1 1/8oz - 7/8oz shot perfectly. It didn't like federal though. Federal 2 3/4 dram 1oz and 7/8oz shot would either FTF or FTE.
  10. I just got my Stoeger M3000 yesterday. I really like it, except for the safety. It's super stiff, and I see a replacement coming in the near future. I'm gonna take it out Saturday check it out. I'll let you know how it goes.
  11. Sarge thanks for the video, I'm gonna try that. I'll let you know how it goes.
  12. Just the bullet seating die. My Lee die set came with a seating die and crimping die. My directions say to screw it in until it touches the shell plate and then back off 3 full turns. Then use the adjusting screw to adjust the OAL.
  13. which die calls for being backed out 3 turns? My seating die says to let it touch the shell plate then back off 3 full turns.
  14. This morning, I belled more than I thought necessary. It shaved less, but it still had a little come off. I'm going to have to play around with it. The die is backed off 3 full turns from the shell plate as per directions. Should I back it off more?
  15. My Lee dies only came with 1 seating stem. Was it supposed to come with two?
  16. Do they make it for a Hornady AP Press?
  17. I put more bell on the case, but still got shavings. It's not every time I seat them. It's like every third one I get shavings. I use a separate seating and crimp die. I use a Hornady LNL AP Press, and my shell plate was snug. I'm stumped.
  18. I just started to load 147gr FP 9mm Bayou Bullets, and I need to verify a couple things. This is my first time loading coated cast bullets, and I have a couple questions. Is it normal to shave off some of the coating while seating the bullets? This doesn't happen with my plated bullets. Also, my OAL isn't very consistent. I am aiming for 1.125, but it ranges from 1.119-1.140. Once again, I usually don't have this much variation with my normal RN plated bullets.
  19. I'm very happy with my Hornady AP Press. I have never used a Dillon. Can't go wrong with either one.
  20. Apparently I need to start dry firing. Can anyone recommend a good book or instructional? Also, with a glock how do you practice multiple shots without racking the slide every time?
  21. There is an M3000 available for $499 locally. Should I hold out for an M3k? Also, what are they gonna be selling for?
  22. A Dillon and Hornady are about the same price if you buy the press and case feeder. If you don't want a case feeder, Hornady will be cheaper for just the press.
