Sorry I got it wrong, I was thinking it had 3 in barrel and was confusing it with snubby which is 3 inch or less and max 6 shots instead of 8.

Buy it. Light weight, two piece barrel and you can use it in the Icore bug gun division.

I have shot a couple of matches that the MD had made arrangements for a group of local scouts to work and reset all the stages during the match and I guess it worked ok, I didn't particularly like it as with not helping reset I would stand or sit around and get stiff, plus I wasn't able to get additional looks at the stage to see something that may give me a better plan on shooting it. Over the years I had seen this being done out of the US, mainly the IPSC matches. The one thing that was/is greatly different about these out of country matches was that most of the shooters in europe and asia were usually the well off/rich folks and the "poors" were the ones being paid to work or reset for them as they were the only people with the money and time off to shoot.
Another example of this is golf, now I don't and never have golfed in my life, but as a kid I worked for the golf pro to shag balls while they were giving lessons. It seemed that DRS. and Lawyers were the only people that could afford the country club memberships and play golf. Now the top golfers and major events they all have caddies and can't carry their own clubs. Back to a local level tournaments how many of you can/could or do pay for caddies, I don't see it happening because it has progressed to where it is affordable to the masses.
I think that is one of the appealing factors of our sport, is the masses can partake if so inclined.
It sounds like that some of you would roll up to the stop light in your status symbol Cadillac ,next to mine and ask for the Grey Pupon and realize that I'm just a Frenches mustard guy and it may bother some.
I would hope as Sarge has said that it does NOT become normalized for staff reset, I NEED the exercise .LOL

The same thing would happen if you failed to make major at chrono with your 40, as long as it still makes minor.

For me, 231/hp38 and Winchester autocomp and CFE pistol all worked much better and cleaner when loaded on the upper end of the load recommendations

I couldn't get mine to run with any factory ammo. I finally settled on Federal Small Pistol Primers, Federal brass, TK .035 moon clips, 147gr Blue Bullets, and 3.0gr of Clays powder.
It runs 100 percent now.
Some of the guys I know do not reload and have to use factory, the win. and the fed syntec were giving them a lot of light strikes. once they started to hand seat the primers, the feds ran 100% and the win would have maybe 1-2 light strikes per 1000. But who knows, a short stroke gives the same feeling some what and I've done the same thing and watched others doing it also. But then I guess what I'm saying is even using feds and reloading your self it's still possible to have some light strikes though hopefully not many and not in a match.

I have found that winchester AND federal factory will have some problems just like that. The fix that I have found is to use a hand primer and reseat the factory rounds and most of the light strikes go away. They just are not seated deep enough even coming from the factory.

You may want to check the double action sear to trigger engagement, if that is off it can cause similar problems as to what you are describing, just not as predictable 50 rounds or more like you are saying. I have had that happen with stock and with apex hammers.

I believe that it was or is used as a type of trigger stop. I don't think they worked all that well for that though.

Fully seated they have worked ok in all of my revo's, I have some as back up in case I run low on Fed's, but I have had a few more issues when reloading the brass and seating them, they seem just a bit more difficult at times. after running several thousand of them I would maybe get 3 light strikes per 1000. If you can get them and can't find fed's I would go for them. I have used them in 627, 929, 986, 610, 625, and gp100's. Like I said I just have a bit more problems in the press, and I generally crush maybe 3 of them out of every 100. Don't know if it's me or they are sized a bit different but harder to use for me than using Fed's.

Buy a sport finish reamer from Brownell's and ream it, it can be used later to help clean/clear the chamber when really dirty and you can use it on other 22's. That is what I have done, mine came with the "benz" chamber. After reaming, everything chambered much easier. I then used it on my 15-22. to smooth it out.

It is a separate side match on Friday. 40 cal and larger, 6 round, major PF, moons or speedloaders iron sight only.

I have one of the switchbolts, had the usual issues with mags, went with all Tandemcross clear double mags and it worked ok, I switched out the stock to wiland, and wiland barrel, was not happy with those. 2 different barrels both broke. put on a tac-com3g barrel and it works way better, then I swithched to a m&p15-22, went all lite weight from taccom barrel and shrould, plus recoil springs, crazy ivan grip and a 2.5 cmp trigger. it runs most HV ammo with no issues and use the 25 rd mags. I like it better and it just runs for me. YMMV

I recently shot a match where there was a gap about 4 inches between some stacked barrels. A few shooters before me choose not to shoot through it even though I had mentioned it out loud during the walk through how there is a huge gap between the stacked barrels and taking the shot would save a lot of time. They didn't take it and when I ran it I shot through it only to hear them moan about it not being legal.
That gap could of been closed off by bringing the barrels closer or even stapling a no shoot between them
That would only be true if you were the first squad to shoot that stage, if not you leave it alone and learn from it for next time. You could make the adjustment and have everyone that had shot it prior reshoot. If it was moved and half the squads had shot it and the other half shot it with the correction, the stage should be tossed.

Kirby G, Vic M and Billy S all had them, built by the guy in Phoenix , so I think that there were at least 4 of them, but I could be wrong, I've seen 3 of them.

What I don't like to do in ICORE is make a COF 8 shots from each position. I'd rather put up 6 shot per position as it makes it a shooting test, instead of a reloading test for L6 & Classic and changes nothing for the Limited & Open Divisions.
The trick is to make it interesting though.
I would throw in some 9 shot arrays, to have everyone have to reload, except the 2 or 3 guys using 32 cal. 10 shot guns.

I have been thinking/looking for a 986 in a 2 inch for carry and a local bug match. and I was thinking the tr8 was a 3 inch.
