Walter That's much better now!! I was beginning to sweat the fact that I had talked my wife into the purchase and some of my wheelgun friends were trying to talk me out of it. FWIW. I do the USPSA thing for fun, believe me if I was doing it for a living, I couldn't afford a computer to be conversing with. Walter, are you always so short and sweet with your answers? And here I was all set to buy the gun in the morning. Well I will give some others with a "positive" attitude towards 610's to put in the 2 cents. I have to ask this question to all you 625 fans. Now I understand that the holes in a 625 cylinder are larger than that of a 610, but aren't the .45acp bullets also larger than the .40S&W by the same margin. Go figure!

First of all this forum has helped me lots. Thanks to all who post to help us in need. I have been wanting a S&W 610 for awhile, I shoot a bottom feeding Para. I started with a wheelgun and I must admit, I shoot better when I don't have 19 rounds to "play" with. The gun I found is a 610-3 3 7/8" barrel in very good condition, I am unsure to how many rounds have been fired. I can get it for $525. What says you experts. I would prefer a 5" gun, but can't find one and if I did it would probably cost lots more. I would go to a 625, but I am already set for .40 and have lots of brass, just simpler for a simple minded person. Thanks upfront for all your help.

Hi to all of you Katrina victims, our prayers go out to you. I was going to be an R.O. at the Gator classic. I just saw that there may be a discussion that the Ms classic and tha Gator classic be combined into a larger benefit match. This is only in the talking stages, so don't gossip. We had lots of tree damage in this area, power is still out. This is being done via generator. Hope to see ya'll soon at a match. See Ya Bill

John, I think the idea of combining with the Gator classic is an excellent idea. I was going to R.O. at both matches anyway. The idea of a benefit for all the Katrina victims sounds pretty good. We were cowards and went to Memphis to ride out Katrina, only damage at home was 3 shingles and 2 trees. Besides not having power, this is being done with a generator btw, it's only an incoveneince compared to all that lost everything. Help before I buy wrong basepads. I have a Para 16-40 limited gun with Dawson magwell. I am buying some mags and pads, can you legally use a +1 or+2 pad on a stock 16 round para mag? I know some people use them, but I don't want to be put in Open class for 1 or 2 extra round capacity. Thanks Mac!!

I started reloading on a RCBS rockchucker. I finally bought a used SDB and have enjoyed it imensely. I too wish you could load .223 on it, but oh well. I agree it being the best for the money.

I know they make uppers in 22lr for an AR-15. A friend said he thought someone makes a conversion kit where you don't change the complete upper. Anybody know? Wanted a cheaper conversion. Thanks!!

Hey have any or you run into this? I was loading some brass picked up at a match and found 3 or 4 that would not take a primer. After close inspection it looks as though the primer tops were pushed out with decapper pin, but the body stayed in the brass. Of about 50 pieces of brass only 2 or 3 weren't the Federal NT headstamp. Any solutions?
