  1. Thanks Sarge, but I googled first. I will have to track down one of my old shooting buddies and see if they have it in their memory bank.
  2. Hi guys several years ago a few friends came up with a mix of auto trans fluid and Dyna lube. Anyone have an idea for ratio? Thanks Mac
  3. Hi guys, I am looking for a firing pin stop for my P16-40 limited SS. I have purchased from Brownell's, but that part is discontinued. Anyone know where to find one and if you have a part number that would be great. This is the 2nd stop that has had a crack, just afraid it may break at a bad time during a match or whatever. Thanks for any input. Mac
  4. Hi guys, was looking for sight part for my 16-40 limited and stumbled on Para hi-cap mags for $27.95 at Sarco. I am just passing this info along for those that may be in need of hi caps. The website didn't have a pic, you can call them. Moderators I am not trying to sell anything or give a plug to a business, just passing along for those that may be hunting these. Thanks Mac
  5. Hi guys I have shot this Para 10-15K and have done nothing but change out 2 firing pins stops that were cracked. It has always ran smooth. Last match I thought it was my cast lead reloads on 2 stages the slide wouldn't go completely into battery and I had to hold slide with left hand and hit back of grip hard with the right hand to get it to slide and eject round. Well today I was cleaning a couple of pistols and when I went to put this Para back together I had the same problem, I was putting in the slide stop pin and the slide would be smooth as glass and then it wouldn't budge, I messed with it some couldn't find anything that seemed out of place. I always run this gun wet and there was plenty of lube, after I put it back together it seemed fine, but I think now it wasn't the ammo. Any ideas before the gunsmith gets to earn his keep? Thanks Mac
  6. First of all Grumpy wins!! I will tell on my wife she doesn't get on here. Several years back we are on vacation and I pretty well knew the route I wanted to take, but to be sure I didn't make a wrong turn I asked my wife to look at the map that was already turned to the correct page, well she studies if for waaaay too long and I say hurry up I am getting close to the intersection, she say highway 6. I say what? I snatch the map and while driving look at it and the highway 6 was the really small numbers that designate the mileage between 2 points. Kinda like a monkey doing math problems!!
  7. A few years back my oldest grandson who was about 2 was strapped into his car seat and me and him were on our way to the deer camp to ride on my Kawasaki Mule. Well I am hard of hearing and he was not talking real well and he was trying real hard to get me to understand what he was saying and he got frustrated and decided it best to SPELL it out for gramps. Like rlzpd. I almost wrecked the truck I was laughing so hard. I sure wish I had it recorded. Kids will say the darndest things.
  8. Let me chime in about Dillon's no BS warranty. About 15 years ago I bought a used square deal off E-bay and it had a broken primer drop tube. I called Dillon and told what part I needed and he got my mailing address and was about to hang up and I said I hadn't given him my cc info and he said it's blue isn't it? I said I had bought it off E-bay and he said I don't care if you found it in a ditch, if it is blue it is under a lifetime warranty. The guy I bought it off of said it had been his uncle's who was also a shooter. I can't tell you how many thousands of rounds that machine has produced and it still runs like a clock. Last week I was running a batch of .40's and in 1 hour I produced 345 rounds and the primer tip had to be replaced which took 5 minutes or more. When this panic buying subsides I will be buying another blue press! Thanks Dillon may your company be blessed with many more years of increased revenues!!
  9. Hi guys, I am running stock 16 round Para mags with Dawson Ice magwell, Dawson extended mag bottoms, and I think Arrendondo extended spring. Dawson no longer carries the Para follower. What other follower can I use as the stock follower and the STI follower they sent won't work. The old part number is 544-0030. If someone has one or knows where to get 1 or more, please let me know. I have a non functioning hi-cap mag. Thanks Mac
  10. That sounds about as clear as muddy water!! But I understand that!! Thanks Mac I just thought it would be kinda crazy to have spare parts and not have a clue where to put them.
  11. Hi Guys, I was looking on Dawson Precision site and saw a DP basepad service kit that contained springs and detents. I don't guess I know where these are in the mag bases and how to replace them. Never had any problems, but it never hurts to have spare parts, of course it would be nice to know how to install them. All comments welcome, even the ones calling me stupid!! Thanks Mac
  12. Hope everyone has a safe trip and match. I R.O.ed Area 4 in 2005 & 2007 and enjoyed the good shooters. Kudo's to the San Angelo crew!!
  13. Thanks Tom, At least it's a step in the right direction. I thought I would ask before trying some. Thanks Mac
  14. Hi, Has anyone loaded and used the Berry 30-30 plated bullets? I found some fairly cheap and wondered how they work, also could use them in my .308 Encore pistol. Thinking aloud. Any and all help welcomed. Happy New Year to you all. Mac
  15. Thanks Dillon, I will just wait and get a 550 or 650. Merry Christmas to all!!
  16. I found a used one, I have a square deal and a rockchucker. Anybody know what a used press only is worth, and can you get parts for them. In other words is it worth buying? Thanks Mac
  17. Now I don't care WHO you are that's funny. LOL Course people could mistake you for someone that needed those missles and may take pot shots at you trying to help out. John you have too much time on your hands since the match is over. See ya mac
  18. Hey Sam, we need your input, without everyone contributing this forum would soon be "dead". I too don't know or care what you said or whom may have been offended. Let's face it you can't please all of the people or any some of the people all of the time. See Ya Mac
  19. Hey Jeff, I know all about the hydration thing. At Area 4 last year one of my friends was R.O.ing and went down because of not hydrating himself, he had been drinking diet cokes all day, very bad choice. We had to put gatorade and pedialyte into him. The CRO I was working with had been asking me all day, was there something wrong that I was going to the porta-john every other squad? My reply was Nothing wrong here. People sometimes forget to hydrate when shooting, they have other"more important things" like shooting on their minds. Hey and good luck with the wheelgun, most fun you can have imho. Mac
  20. Hands down, go with the wheelgun, it's a blast. Plus like AZ said, you get all your brass back. If it's fun you're after then the wheelgun by all means. Mac
  21. Dang it Scooter, we are supposed to be cheering Tom up. With that post I am depressed. That guy sounds like he needs to wear a helmet and be in a rubber room? Hey Tom, You just hang in there and now that you have time to think, use it to think of the possibilities of job change. Get well soon!!
  22. Hey Tom, Sorry to hear about your accident. I enjoyed meeting you at the Miss Classic. Hope you recover back to normal. Will be praying for your recovery. If we can be of help, let us know. See ya Mac P.S. and I was concerned about you riding that hawg all the way back to cheesehead land!!
  23. FYI, we had 17 wheelgunners at Miss Classic. We only had 18 Production shooters. See if some of you had come we would have made the 20. See Ya next year. Mac
  24. John, You are the one that deserves all of our thanks. You put in a lot of hard work and long hours. Okay the resting is over now, let's start getting ready for next year. Yeah right you say. I had a great time and I think all of the competitors did to. I really had to laugh at the oil, when we were unloading it, I was thinking-FISH FRY, oh well. Hey, you get the oil donated next year and we will have a fish fry. How about it people what do ya say?? See ya mac
