  1. It's sold through CZ USA has a CZ USA SKU and is in the CZ USA catalog. Sounds like the functional equivalent of the S&W Performance Center to me. Does CZ-UB or CZ-USA own CZ Custom? http://cz-usa.com/company/about-cz-usa/ http://czcustom.com/about-us.aspx PC is owned by S&W. Just like Sig Custom Shop is owned by Sig. The rules don't require direct ownership. Just that they have a standard configured gun with a SKU that is produced in numbers 2k or greater per year and that meets the other IDPA division requirements.
  2. What you, I, or anyone else defines as OEM doesn't matter. What the book defines as OEM is the only thing that matters. Based on the definition of OEM, the AccuShadow is most definitely acceptable. However, Neither CZ-USA nor CZUB pour buckets of money into IDPA like Smith & Wesson does. IDPA makes up the rules as it goes along and contradicts itself when convenient. According to the IDPA rules clarification IDPA defines OEM as: "...With respect to slide machining, SSP, ESP and CDP, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) firearms with extensive slide machining are approved for use in IDPA if they meet all other requirements for their respective Divisions. For slide machining, an OEM product is defined as a complete firearm product, with specific model part numbers or skus catalogued as stock items by the manufacturer and have a minimum annual production of 2,000 units for that specific model."

  4. . About CZ-USA CZ products are imported exclusively by CZ-USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the parent company, Ceska Zbrojovka a.s. Uhersky Brod, (CZUB) of the Czech Republic.
  5. But this one is good to go: Guess the S&W Performance Center guns are legal but CZ Custom are not.
  6. According to the IDPA rules clarification 2014-02-17 the ACCU Shadow is legal and meets IDPA's definitions as it is a complete firearm product, with a specific model number, CZ USA SKU:91730, has more than 2K units manufactured, and is in the CZ-USA catalog. http://www.idpa.com/...v2014-02-17.pdf "Question: Is this slide machining allowed in IDPA? Answer: Yes. With respect to slide machining, SSP, ESP and CDP, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) firearms with extensive slide machining are approved for use in IDPA if they meet all other requirements for their respective Divisions. For slide machining, an OEM product is defined as a complete firearm product, with specific model part numbers or sku’s catalogued as stock items by the manufacturer and have a minimum annual production of 2,000 units for that specific model. Discontinued models must have had a total production of 20,000 units for a specific model. IDPA HQ is working on a process and document to be available on www.idpa.com to allow OEMs to identify firearms that meet this requirement."
  7. And it has a CZ-USA SKU and is in the catalog. It is not a "Custom gun." It is a standard configuration for which there are over 2k produced. Also, if the ACCU is illegal than so is the Target since it has had milling done to fit the sights. Did no one at IDPA ask CZ USA about this before making the ruling?
  8. One at a time. Just add a new drill for that training session to do multiple strings.
  9. Like how do you enter the score? either you figure out in your head that it is 20 points or you hit the little button at the bottom of the screen that brings up the A,B,C,D,M boxes for each target.
  10. At least the Target anyway as it has had the slide milled for adjustable sights.
  11. #2 or #3 can be equally fast. #1 is a distant third.
  12. I use the Glock ones with minor modifications.
  13. I agree. For some reason the set is only $13 from midway though. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/444665/blade-tech-large-tactical-modular-mount-system-tmms-set
  14. I was joking. It was a halfhearted attempt at a "forbidden" personal attack following his suggestion to get this thread locked already.

    Czech Mate question

For race holsters I heard this one can be made to fit the TS so it should work for the CZ. http://www.mannyusa.com/Firearms_Training/product/Futuristic_Magnetic.html I would be very interested in trying a Czechmate sight tracker configuration for 3 Gun. I have been using a CZ 75 Compact L for EDC. Very nice gun but it's much closer to the CZ SP01 than the TS. Those and the Compact Shadows seem to be a bit hard to find (like most other desirable CZs I suppose). You are welcome to try my TS any time you can find me at a match.

    Accu Shadow

Someone on an IDPA Facebook thread today posted that some 9 person IDPA committee just ruled that the ACCU was not legal for any IDPA division. I really hope he was wrong because I can't understand how they would have come to that conclusion.
  17. Not sure it would work with Safariland holsters but I have really been liking using a large Blade Tech TMMS as the attachment for my holsters on the ELS belt. You can two screws on it just like QLS but there is enough room to drill two more as well. It has a secondary lock and since it rides lower than the belt it provides a bit more stability on the draw.
  18. Netflix is the go to 80% of the time. Hulu is nice for recent episodes of various shows. We have prime for the free shipping and occasionally watch some of the kids shows but not much else. I also buy the occasional movie or TV series through Google Play.
  19. A move to Open is something that is match specific, not stage specific, just like a DQ. If this same shooter DQed on a stage but then the entire squad had to reshoot it he would not be reinstated and the DQ would not go away.
  20. I like this idea and it has the added benefit of being able to run shooters more quickly through the stages. You might even stand a chance of coming home before dark that way.
  21. Actually, that says the rangemaster's decision is final, not that the move to open is final.Yes, but it's actually the RM who makes the decision to move to Open. That decision is final. That's why I went back any posted the full 6.2.5 rule set.
  22. Full text: 6.2.5 Where a Division is unavailable or deleted, or where a competitor fails to declare a specific Division prior to the commencement of a match, the competitor will be placed in the Division which, in the opinion of the Range Master, most closely identifies with the competitors equipment. If, in the opinion of the Range Master, no suitable Division is available, the competitor will shoot the match for no score. 6.2.5.1 However, if a competitor fails to satisfy the equipment or other requirements of a declared Division during a course of fire, the competitor will be placed in Open Division, if available, otherwise the competitor will shoot the match for no score. 6.2.5.2 A competitor who is classified or reclassified as above must be notified as soon as possible. The Range Masters decision on these matters is final.
  23. The move to Open "is final." 6.2.5.2 A competitor who is classified or reclassified as above must be notified as soon as possible. The Range Masters decision on these matters is final.
