  1. This +1. (just as long as your Not practicing bad habits)
  2. Why does ejecting the round into your hand make you cringe? Seeing people eject live round onto the ground make me run for cover. If they loose control of slide and primer of partially ejected round hits ejector and detonates then shrapnel goes into hand covering ejection port. I have seen pictures of this with a Glock in a training bulletin. Not a pretty sight. That make sense. Thanks.
  3. Unfortunately, I had a round go off under my feet. It was a 40s&w factory round ejected onto a rough concrete driveway. I know that my odds are better at winning the lottery than this ever happing again, but I choose to catch my round.

  5. Doubt you will notice as difference. I hade a few hundred magnum primers that someone gave me. Loaded them along with my CCI small pistol. No noticeable difference.
  6. Dawson adjustable rear with a .115 fiber optic front. I went with the .3 height.

  9. Skateboard grip tape. Its $5.00 for a 8"x32" sheet. Available at any local skate shop.
  10. That really is Smokin. Your posts will be on Enos before you ever hit the enter key.
  11. What surrounds the A zone should not distract you from your goal.
  12. Always a bad idea for me to change my plan. Once I have mentally committed to a plan I run that plan no matter what.
  13. Awesome Advice! I think that's the quote of the week.
  14. Slow down just a little and shoot A's. Just don't slow so much that the extra points don't matter.
  15. We ran CM 09-09 this past weekend. The 2ed string is 1-1-1 reload 1-1-1. Several people 2-1-1 and never realized they did.
  16. They have trouble because it is outside the norm and they don't realize it. Sure, sounds easy enough...shoot 5, reload, shoot 5...but how many times do you have an odd number of hits on a target? I bet there are people who can (and do) shoot 6 on each target faster than they can shoot 5 on each target. We train to put everything in pairs with USPSA paper targets, and so it becomes a habit to put 6 where it calls for 5...I agree 100%. Most shooters practice Bill Drills, Blake Drills and 4 aces. We hardly ever shoot an odd number.
  17. Today was the Longest Hottest day on the range Ever. It was a 4 Dogfish night.90 minute IPA to be exact.

  19. My comment earlier about "Domestic" beer should have been, don't have any desire for "Corporate" beer. Sierra Nevada, Stone, Dogfish Head....the list could go on and on and on. They, in my opinion, brew some of the Best beer in the World.
  20. I've never given much thought to seeing brass eject. Makes sense though.
  21. I don't have any desire for domestic beer either. Newcastle and Bass ale are among my top 20.
  22. I love an Ice Cold Beer after a long day at the range.
  23. Dry fire for me has helped build fundamentals. Just keep yourself in check with live fire.
