  1. When it comes to chokes and slugs I err on the side of caution and with all the different slugs on the market I try to find something that shoots well out of an IC. I also have never seen a dedicated smooth bore slug barrel in anything other than IC. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. Also, I reccomend only shooting slugs through and improved cylinder or cylinder choke. If you shoot slugs through tighter constrictions than an improved cylinder you can run the risk of ripping the choke right out of the end of your barrel. Are you shooting winchester super x or what slugs ard you shooting? Just for less fatigue and more enjoyment for your daughter you might look into some reduced recoil slugs. Try several brands and find the ones that hit the closest to poa. As far as chokes are concerned its a matter of know what you patterns are with different chokes and know what it will take to knock down steel at different ranges. 3. You left out the most important part of your port job...PATIENCE. There's a reason mine looks like a one toothed beaver did it.I am having the same issues with loading quads. It feels like the second shell is nudging or bumping something just enough to mess up the second set of shells in my hand. It happens as the 2nd shell is about to go into the mag tube. I rounded and smoothed all of the edges I could find. My M2 quad loads like a dream but the M2 is not as opened up as my M3k. I'm thinking maybe the unwelded lifter isn't guiding the shells into the tube as smoothly since it's shorter. I'm having my lifter welded up to see if that solves the issue. It doesn't seem to be an issue when dropping deuces and doesn't happen every time with quads but it's gotta be ironed out cause I'm loving the quad load. I think you're right that the hitch is due to the lifter getting pushed all the way down and allowing the second shell to bump the receiver. I haven't had this problem yet, and I think it may be because I only lowered the port on the right side by the same amount as the left side. (I'm also happy to load 8 in 5, so I'm moving quite a lot slower than you.) When I load the right side of the receiver keeps my hand from fully bottoming out the lifter with the second shell. If I make a conscious effort to push the shells harder into the lifter, I can bottom out the lifter and I too then feel the hitch when loading the second shell. Do you notice the hitch when quad loading weak hand? I agree with this I didn't take my non serial number side down as far as some others and I think if I took it down further I would be pushing that second shell into the lip at the front of the port and it would hang up. I am doing 12 in about 6.5 with about an hour and a half of practice in. A welded lifter would probably cure this .
  4. Looks like the file and dremel are getting broken out agin this weekend. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. Impressive Tom, that probably dang near loads itself what is the measurement of how deep that cut is on the non serial numbet side? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  6. For quad loading take the side down opposite the serial numbet down further another 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch. I did 95% of my work with a dremel and then a little file work with needle files and some 400 and 600 sand paper and some flitz polish on a buffing dremel wheel. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  7. I only Have about 100 rounds through mine, but all of it was Winchester universal wally world bulk pack. 1 1/8oz. 3 dram eq. 1200fps. I had zero issues. I run my gun on the dry side too (I put a drop of oil on each rail that the bolt linkage rides in and that's it). I did sand the tube and wipe off all the grease or whatever was on the spring from the factory prior to putting any rounds through it.
  8. I had run 10's in the past but this past weekend I ran my first match with the 12 it gave me a few options for loading that a 10 wouldn't. I say game if your gonna game.
  9. What angles give the best feedback for filming your training? Should I set up the camera downrange or perpendicular, looking up, eye level or looking down? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  10. Just google moa precision llc and give tom a call on monday, he has all the nordic tubes with his nuts on them he also has extended bolt handles enlarged bolt release button and an enlarged safety for the m3000. All great products. Great guy too. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  11. I bought the 28" and I have no complaints what so ever. I run the plus 8 tube for 12+1+1 capacity, if you are going with a long tube I see no reason not to go with a longr barrel, your tube is already making shooting from ports a little more cumbersome a extra 4 or 6 inchea of barrel won't hurt. 12. Here is a few pictures of my work so far. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  13. I shot my first match with the Stoeger today. It ran flawlessly thanks Tom for the nut and bolt handle. My setup was a 28" M3000 with a +8 tube moa precision nut and charging handle. I dremeled the loading port and it loads quads like a dream! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  14. It screwed right in I bought that sight because it came with several other posts with different thread patterns. I bought mine at Mills Fleet Farm. It was on clearance for $7.50 so I figured it was worth a shot it came with 3 extra fibers too. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone who was curious the thread pattern is 3-56 for the front sight. I just fit a hi-viz spark III on mine and ut is a huge improvement Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  16. The stock follower in my gun is the same as in my Benelli M2. So I left it as is. I am going to try a Nordic components follower to see if it helps load any faster. Also I see you changed sights, is the factory sight threaded? I am looking for a replacement.
  17. Jesse, Are you still running the OEM follower? I haven't taken the front of the loading port up as far as you... yet.Just don't want to end up with a paperweight.
  18. Do you have pictures of how far you took down the walls? I can L2 relatively easily out of the box but quads are out of the question without modification.
  19. My necks get dented similarily, and a few times behind the shoulder, they usually pop out when I size them other wise they get fire formed. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. I am holding out for the Competition Tactical myself, I think the additions are worth the increased cost. I just hope they are available soon!
  21. Most of what I have seen is around 1400 but I found a website with $1251.16 as their price. All of them are put of stock though Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. http://posneroutfitters.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=18&product_id=548&sort=p.price&order=DESC&limit=75 They say they have one in stock I won't be buying it at that price but it is promising for the future. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  23. Did you purchase your VM Comp Tac from a dealer?
  24. I am going to get one of these when it becomes available. I got a quote from my dealer last week for $1335 and I think for all the additions it is worth the extra money.
  25. They make the 1301 in a tactical that comes with ghost rings check berettaUSA. If you already own the shotgun you might just call them because they might not have them listed for retail but you may still be able to order some.
