  1. So for anyone considering the Burris FF3.... I contacted customer support yesterday curious about their warranty on the specific product. Like may mfg's they offer a lifetime warranty on their optics. I know Leupold limits their warranty on electronics to 1 year, while the rest of their optics line has a lifetime warranty.... Burris keeps the lifetime, no fault warranty intact for their electronics as well. I've had a good experience with both my XTR2's and I think, especially given the warranty that the Burris isca no risk situation. Even if I don't like it on my Glock, its got a good warranty, I'll stick it on something else
  2. How do you like the dot size? I'm so torn on weather I should just dive in and get the DP pro or ease my way in with the FF3.
  3. What are you guys using for recoil spring / guide rod conversion for gen 4 to gen 3 typecsetup?
  4. Had the 3, but got bad slide bite.... Picking up my 34 MOS tonight
  5. Interesting there seems to be no love for the Deltapoint pro. That is my favorite so far, but its big... Really big. All the the RMR's I've handled seem to have some weird optical stuff happening (to me anyway) where I had a hard time focusing on anything through the sight window... I might be crazy, but I had a hell of a time
  6. Cool. What powder are you running? I typically run 4.0 titegroup over 124gn (plated or moly coated )
  7. Wanna sell it? I acutally use only coated bullets typically. What type of precautions are you talking (not to sound dumb or too dorky)
  8. Glock is the gun I love to hate..... I want to have something fancier, something custom.... But I have more fun shooting a glock, and typically shoot it better than anything else.
  9. Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to look into that for me. Dan
  10. It was more a question if the sights would clear the sight channel in the holster without binding.... I don't have the holster ( expect for my carry 19 ) or the gun or the sights yet... I was trying to not spend money on something that isn't work if there was a issue I should be concerned with
  11. Ive got a 34 MOS on the way so I can dork out with an optic.... Looking to do the Dawson MOS sights to get them a little higjtvin the optic (I haven't picked an optic yet) This being my first venture into anything like this, I'm a little lost for a comparable holster.... I typically use the Blade Tech holsters, but I have a funny feeling this may require something custom (and needs to remain Production compliant) What are you guys running?
  12. Yeah, I get that too. Im really not like oking to get into anything more than a drop in. The accuracy advantage a fitted barrel will offer would likely nothing I would ever see at a "A" or "B" level shooter. I could pick up up the extra points by laying off the beer and loosing a few pounds too
  13. Right.... That's really what I'm aiming for. I have to spend some money to save some money (shooting lead). If I have to do that anyway, is the extra $60 for a KKM going to be giving me something extra performance wise.... From the input here, it sounds like it will
  14. It would probably be cheaper to buy and new 34 and sell the frame and any extra parts on GB
  15. Looking for some opinions on a replacement glock 34 barrel.... I'm not expecting my 34 to shoot like my custom limited 2011 build, my expectation in a replacement barrel is simply shooting lead bullets. With that being said, is there a better performing option out there in the aftermarket barrel world? Ultimately I don't want anything that reduces reliability and or requires a ton of custom work to get to run properly.

    Glock 17 vs. 34

To add to (or maybe sidetrack unintentionally) the conversation.... Im going back to a 34 this year, but decided on getting the 34 MOS so I could fart around in CO if I wanted to as well. I won't be able to have much time to dedicate to practice this year, so I have no delusions of being competitive, just looking to have fun. I really enjoyed running a gen 3 34 in prod (minus the slide bite) and can't wait to try the 34 MOS with the backstraps to match my 19 I agree with others that the 34 presents no mechanical accuracy advantage. When I was regularly practicing I was actually a tad slower with it out of the holster for some reason as well... But, there was always something about how the sights seem to settle back down to where I thought they should be faster. Not at all scientific, just my perception
  17. Won't having a dot and tritium in the same sight picture be rather busy? Your dot should be above the front sight. Just a thought. Well, frankly, I don't know. I can't see having a fiber optic given the dot and I would rather not have black on black so the white circle of the tritium with the red dot above seemed to make the most sense to me
  18. I have a MOS on the way and was planning on using the Dawson MOS tritium front and solid black rear with a RMR or Deltapoint. TheseDawson sights are night than normal supressor sights and should cowitness better with the optic, correct? What happens with poa and poa when extending out in range a bit?
  19. are you shopping by how it looks for what it does? +6 will be flush with 26", +5 will probably be a bit under flush in a 24". You shouldn't really worry about flush though Not so worried about looks as not extending the gun so much. It's going to be a multi purpose shotgun with some courses and USPSA shotgun matches so I don't want to add much to the length
  20. Sorry for the lame question, as I know I saw the info somewhere..... But, I can't find it now. Just picked up a M3000, 24" and need to get myself a mag tube extension. What length will get me flush or just slightly beyond the muzzle?
  21. Could someone point me in the direction of some 38SC load? data. Just got my 1st revolver (627 Pro Series) and I'm sending it off to Frank Glenn for some work to get it ready to for rev div
  22. Boy, that seems like a decent value at $2600 AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE SEND IN THE PAPERWORK TO MA IT EXEMPT FROM MASSACHUSETTS AG FIREARM testing!!! If any from STI reads this, like I've emailed many times, you could easily sell this pistol in Mass by filling out a form and paying a small fee ($100?) To be filed as a "competition only" handgun (exempt from safety testing )
  23. This has to be one of the best ideas going.... If I wasnt so ashamed I'd join in. Oh, ok what the hell. A 82771 SS and Limited?
  24. LOLAs for the two mentioned in the top post, IMHO it depends on the individual sample you get more than the company's name. Mass made guns have a spread of quality at fit. If you get a good one, you'll be very happy. I agree totally with this statement. I actually own of S&W's (pro series) But, all of the S&W are mass produced firearms ( The Pro Center having the most hand work done ) I dont have any experience with the Springfield, but there are a lot of guys at local matches that use them. STI Trojan would have been one I would have considered as well
