  1. Happy to say Ergo Grips has joined us as a sponsor. Add them to the growing list!
  2. Excited to announce a few more great companies as sponsors for this years match! Vortex Optics, Magpul and Starline Brass. Be sure and keep them in mind when planning on making a purchase! Complete List of Current Sponsors: Bar-Sto Gunfighter Targets Hiperfire Duracoat JP Enterprises Taccom Sierra Bullets Springer Precision American Defense MFG Talon Grips Redding Reloading Zero Bullets Hornady Vortex Optics Magpul Starline Brass
  3. Kinda curious why you swapped bows when all you have to do is open the channel for the shoe when using an SV bow. Swapping the bow wouldn't gain you anything in my experience.
  4. It may be the cheapest part but its not a good way to do it. Removes too much strength from the part that holds the insert. I just replaced a trigger bow and correctly fitted a new bow for a customer that had the same thing done to his(done before he purchased the gun). Shoe would swivel back and forth on the overtravel screw.
  5. The STI grip requires quite a bit of filing to accept the SV Trigger bow. That said its not uncommon to see a reduction in pre-travel when installing an SV trigger bow. The pull weight should remain the same.
  6. Add Springer Precision to the list of awesome sponsors this year! We recently had a few dropouts due to work schedules so we do have a few open slots! Get signed up today!
  7. Its not as bad as you think at the distances we commonly see. I plugged in the offset difference in Strelok and only had about a 2-5 yard shift across the board out to 600 yards. Honestly got me closer to my desired hold points on my reticle with my given load.
  8. I sight in birdshot at 15 yards. Move out to 50 with slugs to check POI. From there assuming everything looks good move to 100 and recheck. Also recommend knowing if your POI changes using different chokes.
  9. I really like it. Have some new glass on the way for my rifle so I will be switching it out from my short gun to where it will stay on my 18". Should have some more info for you shortly after Christmas. ETA: I did run it on my bay rifle for my last 3-gun of the year and liked it even with limited time on it.
  10. Leave in place and install EZ-Hit front sight.
  11. I recently switched to the ADM high mount and like it so far. It did take a little getting used to but after getting a few range sessions in I like the height. Look at a lot of the high level shooters and you will see they run the same mount(ADM or Larue) as well. Get a cheap riser, swap it in and try it. If you like it get a dedicated mount. If not no big loss.
  12. Business has been crazy this year which is a good thing. Since we are a small shop it is difficult to keep up with our current demand and get some good R&D time on this platform. Also UTAS has been making quite a few running changes on the XTR which makes it difficult to work on from a reliability standpoint. We have seen atleast 4 "generations" of the model in the last 6 months. As soon as they settle on a final design we will devote more time to the platform and work on making it a reliable option for Open shooters. I will post here as we make progress.
  13. BR-99 is essentially a Pre-XN MKA. They can be made to run but not all parts are interchangeable.
  14. You must have the hard chrome stripped to have the Nitride done. I have re-done a customers Edge this way. Have sent many parts as well as complete guns to H&M. Turn around is typically 2 weeks.
  15. The MKA's have come a long way since the early versions. The Match Pro is nothing more than a Match with a different handgaurd. Several websites mislead people to think there are many other things done but its the exact same gun as a Match. The floating feed ramp is a good design for the civilian market. In a competition gun it creates another point of failure. Options are to pin the feed ramp or replace the lower with a billet aluminum one. As you know having an early model if you weren't careful during dis-assembly you could damage the feed ramp. The XN model was greatly improved over the "Magnum" and "Pre-XN" models by shortening the gas system and improving the trigger. This increased reliability and still remains my favorite model for a competition gun. I had over 15k on my personal gun(XN) before retiring it at the end of this season. I am building another XN for next season. I would hold off on the XTR-12. We haven't had enough time to get all the bugs worked out and the factory seems to be making running changes all the time to the platform which makes it difficult to work on. Until they hold onto one version we are waiting to do too much with the platform. Feel free to ask any questions you have.
  16. American Defense Manufacturing has joined as a sponsor! Go check out their awesome line of bulletproof optic mounts!

  18. Here is a list of the current sponsors! Be sure and thank them by spending money with them any time you need something! Sierra Bullets Taccom JP Enterprises Hiperfire Gunfighter Targets Bar-Sto DuraCoat
  19. No issues what so ever. Shot it for 3-gun season with the TTI recoil spring and then swapped back to the factory spring and did some duck hunting in the off season. No light strikes or failures of any kind regardless of what ammo I ran.
  20. I picked up a SBE2 on trade a little over a year ago. I swapped in TTI springs, welded the lifter, opened up the port and installed a longer tube. It ran everything I threw at it including 1145fps loads. Don't feel bad about your purchase. It will serve you well.

  24. A little update on the registration. We have deleted the old match and created a new one. The practiscore team recommended we push registration back until they can resolve the issue but we have decided go another route. If you registered using the old link before it was cut off you will be getting a confirmation email shortly. We are going through each registration email by time stamp and re-entering your information into the newly created match. Once everyone is transfered I will send out another email to last years shooters with the new link. If you have not registered just wait for the new email. I had 700 emails in my inbox this morning. We are down to 400 as of now. I will keep you updated as things progress. Thanks, Josh.
  25. If you filled out the registration you are in. One way to confirm is look at your Practiscore dashboard. It will show up in upcoming matches. For those of you who filled it out multiple times it will show up as many times as you registered. Practiscore is kicking back an error message and we are unsure why. The Practiscore team has been notified and they are working on the problem. When we gain access to the system a confirmation email will be sent out to everyone who got in. Thank you for bearing with us during this time.
