  1. Ordered one of these from SWFA on Black Friday, but sadly its backordered.
  2. I apologize if this is in the incorrect forum. Had anybody ordered (and received) any items from 3gungear.com recently? I ordered a "Slide Lock 2-Pac" last year and it was delivered promptly. I ordered a second one (along with a 7-shell sidesaddle) at the end of March, and I have not received the items yet. Several e-mails have gone unanswered and no answer at the phone number listed on the website. I've read about other members having similar issues in the past, but I wasn't sure if the issues had been corrected.
  3. Another vote for the EDGE trigger from glocktriggers. I dropped one into my Glock 35 this week and it is amazing.
  4. Just a quick followup, I replaced the magazine spring with a Nordic spring and trimmed it to 13" past the cap. All of my loading problems disappeared. 10 shells into the tube like butter. Andy
  5. Greetings, all. I recently purchased a VersaMax Tactical. Upon getting the shotgun home, the first thing that I noticed was that it was nearly impossible to get more than 3 shells into the magazine tube. Figuring that it was the magazine spring, I added a Roulette Tactical 2-shot extension, with the idea being that it would have the same effect as trimming the spring. This had little effect on the issue. I read through the posts here about modifying the shell catch, so I cut out the 'U' notches a bit, and polished the tip of the latch (as well as polished the lifter). At this point, it loads a little easier, but shells 7-10 are still VERY difficult to load. Any other ideas? Also, can somebody post a picture of the shell latch with the springs installed in the proper position (a picture from the bottom with the trigger group removed should do the trick)? I'm not 100% sure I re-installed them properly. Thanks! Andy
  6. Sorry for the necro post. I just got a JP magwell for my Gen 3 Glock 35, and I am having the same problems. The magazine meets significant resistance when inserting, and the magazine will not drop free from the pistol. I installed the same magwell on a Gen 3 Glock 22, and it works fine. The only difference between the 2 frames is that the G22 has a crescent-shaped cutout in the frontstrap (for removing stuck magazines). It appears that when the magwell is installed on a frame that doesn't have this cutout, the magwell compresses the grip enough to cause the issues I am having.
  7. It looks like that might be the culprit. I purchased the 1100 used and the previous owner had installed the EZ-Loader. The EZ-Loader trips the carrier with only the slightest pressure (there is no travel at all before the carrier releases). I found a decent pictorial here: http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/shotgun-talk/143794-install-dave-s-metal-works-easyloader-remington-1100-12ga-56k-beware.html I'll report back after I tweak it. Andy
  8. Thanks for the advice, everyone. As to the load I'm shooting, I'm using Federal Multi-Purpose #8 shot, 1200FPS, 3 dram.
  9. Greetings. I have a Remington 1100 Tac-2 with a DMW EZ-Loader that runs great, with one minor exception. The bolt fails to lock to the rear after the last round is fired about 90% of the time. When cycling the action by hand, the bolt will lock however. At the last match I was at, somebody told me that the weight of the EZ Loader can casue this, and that if I trimmed some metal from the devie it would prevent this from occurring. Does this make sense? Andy
  10. I believe "US" suffix S/N's indicate that the frame was imported, as opposed to being manufactured here. None of my agency's G22's or G27's have "US" suffixes...
  11. Greetings, all. Relatively new to competition shooting (last few months). I'm a SWAT cop and Paramedic by profession. Same MedicAJ from various other forums. Andy
