  1. Great Match as far as I'm concerned, I finished, didn't DQ, and received about $800 off the prize table. I did have some grumbling about scheduling after the rain delay but WoW, what a nightmare! Glad I didn’t have to make those decisions. I received the first email from Tennille at 3AM Saturday so the communication from the match staff was right on. Overall the match staff did a great job getting everyone through. As far as the DQ’s, we had two on our squad late on the 2nd day, one for breaking 180 on stage 7 and a heart breaker on stage 8 when a shell got stuck on a lifter without the safety on, both very legate.
  2. I decided to make the match a family trip and heeded out last weekend. Been staying in Georgetown TX and was happy to find a indoor range with up to 100 yards for zero and function checks. If you're near check out "Reds". They are some nice people. http://www.redsguns.com
  3. Hey man, different strokes for different folks. We still love you. OK, OK you shamed me into it, I'll order some.
  4. I've started to order a couple of times, I just can't seem to spend 40 bucks to get an extra 5 rounds in a $15 mag I always delete my order when I get to the check out.
  5. If you put a slug on a shot target during one of Denise and JJ match's it's going to cost you a few bucks. They had a stage a last year that almost every other target was a differ round.
  6. If the gun was dumped because the shooter didn't want to clear the malfunction and move to another gun, I'm going what ever the rules say for an unsafe gun. But I think it is an unsafe gun in this condition anway and what ever the rules say for an unsafe in in the dump bin should be followed.
  7. There is another guy that has been doing lifters also, he doesn't require you to send in yours, he has them in stock alreaded welded up. His info is below. SKY TAC- Southern Kentucky Tactical - CJ Smith- gunsmith. He has new ones in stock, no need to send yours out, so there is no turn around times. He's on FB- located in Bowling Green KY. 1-270-246-3672 Just give him a call....
  8. Checked out your page and will be sending you an order soon.
  9. It's 68 bucks then you still have to send it out to be worked on for another 50 bucks, would be cheeper to by an original VM one and send to out.
  10. Build one, you can get all the parts on palmetto state armory and Brownells, At Palmetto you can get an upper, lower, and build kit for around $500, the barrel, BCG, and charging handle will be extra. You might be able to get into it for under 1K and you will know how it goes together.
  11. I shot a 3 gun once with a $200.00 Mossberg 500, $300 ATI .45 GI, and a PTR 91 .308, well the PRT is worth a lot, but there are other ones cheaper you could run. I used to shoot a Glock 17 gen @ that I picked up for $150.00, Just use what you can get your hands on,
  12. Wanted to get other inputs on this, I've been told by a few that the TTI Benelli AccuGuide Extended Carrier will work on the VersaMax (Competition). On the TTI site it even lists it as compatible with VersaMax. I have attached Both Brownells and TTI site pictures for reference. With military discount at Brownells the price drops to 55 bucks. What do you think? Thanks for the help.
  13. I shot three large 3 gun matchs and numerous club matchs so far this year all shooting my 930JM pro, just switched to a VM competition for the rest if the year. I'll keep my JM for my backup.
  14. Any 2 3/4 7.5 that will work in your gun and lots of it. Most matchs are getting out of the 00 but you shoud toss in a few if you don't have the stages before hand, even then at most matchs people will give you or sell you some. Bring some High brass 6 for spinners, they can be a bitch.
  15. I received my VM and haven't had time to get it out. I dry loaded about 500 rounds to loosen everything up. I then took it to a indoor range and shot about 20 rounds of 00/slugs and today I shot a 3 gun match with never shooing any bird shot out of it. Shot 2 shotgun stages (about 40 rounds) with Remington 1290 FPS birdshot. Everything ran perfect, the only chance I made to the gun was a bigger charging handle. I think this qualifies for Out-of-the Box. Buy one it ran perfect!
  16. I'm Driving from Phoenix to the 3-Gun Nation Southwest Regional leaving Phoenix on October 4th. Any of you that are flying I have room in my truck to haul some ammo if you don't want to ship it. Let me know...........
  17. What choke are most of you using with this gun most of the time? What choke has been working with Slugs the best?
  18. This was a great match, except for the giant dust storm that hit on the last stage...
  19. I had this problem, there was a piece of brass caught under the shell stop. I removed it and been working fine since...
