  1. Benny gave you that load because he is BIG fan of the 115gr bullet. I am surprised he didn't give you an AA7 recipe, as he also loves (well evidently used to love) that powder.
  2. plastic square thing? Oh, you mean one of those Dillons made beofre the turn of the century. They don't make them like that anymore......same as with Model T's from Ford are no longer made. :-)
  3. Here is something to look at........ I literally just had that problem in my single stack 45. This one particular magazine had a line where the halves of the magazine were joined....a weld line if you will. Anyway, that line was a LOT higher than on any of my other magazines. So this raised line was rubbing against the disconnector and therefore holding it in place - thus not reseting the sear. I just merely dremeled that line flush with the rest of the magazine and my problem was solved.
  4. here is the question I am curious about - you said initially that you reduced the material on the grip? And then later you said something about the amount of pressure exerted on the gun while you are churning and burning realigned the parts? .....and that folks have shifted back to metal guns because of that pressure problem. ......could it simply be that you reduced too much plastic material from the grip? And therefore nothing you do will solve that until you put a new grip on? And have you given the gun to either Bob or Benny and let them go through it (as opposed to Bob throwing in some parts to get you by). I ask that because I know folks who have had to replace their grips because they (or whoever customized it) got a little TOO carried away in their reduction. I haven't heard of realigning trigger parts because of that, but definitely with holding mags in the gun. I am curious as I have never heard of anything like this before.
  5. Unless you are shooting pure Bullseye, any of the quality manufacturers should give you more than good enough accuracy. The trick is just to see what your guns likes. But on that note, something we found with MG's is that the cover comes off while shooting - let me explain. I shot LP 125 Stars forever. My source for those bullets quit carrying them (all before I knew about Star's situation). So I began asking around for a new bullet - everyone I asked was using MG's. During the discussions, we found that when people were shooting 115gr' in an open gun, they were getting a buildup in the comps similar to what you would find when shooting lead. They solved that problem by switching to 124gr. And these bullets were JHP.....so don't ask about lead exposed backs. I have two open guns and one of the guns gets its C-More lens coated in this gold crap that I have to polish off after every match......and it is ONLY MG bullets that cause this problem. One of the guys out here pop-riveted a piece of aluminum over his deteriorated blast shield.....come to find out, the reason his blast shield got eroded was because of the gold crap hitting it. Meaning after he put the new cover on, it became gold after its first match. Does that happen in all guns? No. My backup gun (exact twin of my main gun) doesn't have that problem). My point here is that the MG's shoot great in my gun, but so does Zero, Star, and other quality bullets. Just find the cheapest/easiest obtained bullet that your gun likes......because whether the bullet shoots 2 inch groups or 2.5 inch groups isn't going to change your performance much in IPSC.
  6. ......as long as you don't shoot the valve off the tank, there shouldn't be any problems!
  7. I believe it is Trident that makes this adapter I am about to describe....this adapter goes on the end of a LP hose and allows you to blow air as you would if you had a compressor. .....again, using the LP ports, you should only be getting about 200psi - the extreme maximum would be about 400psi I believe. If you use the HP port, you will get the pressure that is in the tank. So if you already dive and have the gear, this would be a cheap alternative to a compressor. Along with that adapter, you would probably need to get the seven foot hose (used by cave divers) in order to have a hose that is actually usable.
  8. Billy Bullets are owned by a Rudy Warren? Weren't they owned previously by Bill Lugisis (sp?) .....hence the name Billy Bullets. If so, what happened to Bill?
