I got an un captured tungsten guide rod, what spring can I use? Can I use a 1911 spring? Who makes springs for this part? I got a THE Accessories tungsten guide rod. Can I break the captured guide rod and use that spring???

I tried shooting the Gen 4, in my opinion is better than the G3 but still too big for. What finish is on that ZEV slide??

Lilja is probably the way to go if you are looking for killer accuracy. Krieger is also a good option. Go 20" 1/7" for precision, you want to stabilize a heavier bullet for ranges over 100 yards. Another key important point is to have that gas port as close to the muzzle as possible so the longer the gas port placement, the better.

Ortiz Custom Guns in Savannah Ga. That guy took my STI Spartan 9mm that was having a few FTE problems and tuned it with a 2.25# trigger that is made in heaven. Give him a call his turn around time is quite fast, you won't be disappointed!

Hey guys I have a quick question. I will be putting together two ar's one in 6.8 and a 300 AAC. I have been thinking, would it be better to use an m16 style bolt carrier since it is a beefier carrier? My point comes from thinking that it is a heavier hitting round, what do you guys think??

I need some help sorting this out. I bought a CR Speed World Shoot Model 2 supposedly for Glock. I have had this for a while since I have been debating whether to use a G35 or an STI for limited, finally decided for the G35 for now. When I am setting it up I try to place the supplied Trigger Guard plate and the frame won't fit, I have to use it bare as you see in the pictures below. Is this the normal way of it fitting? I have to tell you that it is rock solid, the gun won't move, I jump and it stays there. Pulling the pistol feels normal to me and it sits all the way. Any comments? BTW I stripped one of the CSK Bolt heads in the versa hanger, can these be bought separately? Thanks!

I am getting +4 or +5 basepads for my glock mags for USPSA. I am almost 100% sold on Dawson Precision, the question is are there better springs and followers that I can buy for competitive shooting? Thanks!

I had a similar problem, small fracture on the extractor changed the angle and in some shots it would not extract. When I say small I mean minute!

I went from being a single stacker in uspsa to ssp and esp idpa. After trying 4 pistols i ended up in esp with an sti spartan with ice magwell in 9mm. If u shoot 1911 style faster, stick to it in idpa u wont regret it!

That is my setup in IDPA and I dont know why I didn't do it earlier. It is a fast and smooth reloading all the time!
