  1. I got a killer deal for a NIB OKO red Dot. It is an STI version that has no brackets but is designed for a Pistol Anyone know if it can be modified for a weaver mount. It looks the same in the SPecs Drawings, except that Pistol Mount OKOs have 1 of the 4 mounting screws missing. The cut out area is not cut out either. Thanks Jeff
  2. Take It! Take It! Of tell me where it is and I will get a friend to buy it.
  3. Ok, I need to get a new retaining screw, obviously. I also would seem to need a new Drop Plate and Drop Shim, but I am not certain. This is a pistol grip stock and the manual is unclear as to whether it has a Drop Plate and Drop Shim? It appears that it does not need a drop plate and dop shim, just the retaining nut. Can I buy a 13mm nut from the store and use that with the lock washer, or do i need to get the special one from Benelli? Thanks. Jeff
  4. How do Install the recoil spring on my Benelli M1 Super 90? I took stock off and then read smewhere that the retaining nut needs to be heated to be removed and then blue locktited to reattach? Is there an easier way? Also, when removing the stock I found something interesting. It has a pistol grip stock, Benelli. Instead of the 13mm stock retainng nut it has this odd heavy metal tube that is solid and heavy threaded in. Here is a picture. What the heck is this thing? Does it effect feed reliability? It is obviously from Benelli but I cannot find it in the M1 Manual or on the web site. Thanks Jeff I figured it out. Duh. Recoil Reducing Weight. Its got Mercury in it. Since Recoil does not bother me I would like to replace it. Any ideas if I should? Jeff
  5. The gun was a little dirty, but not too bad. I cleaned things up and will shoot it a lot this weekend to see if there is a problem. I will also consider putting the original mag follower back in. Thanks for the tips. Jeff
  6. Mine we're some Heavier but Cheap Remingtons. Dove Loads. 7.5's. I am getting a reduced recoil spring to help with lighter loads for competition. Jeff
  7. Someone here suggeted using graphite in my mag tube to insure good feeding on my benelli M1 S90. Ihad some recent failures to extract with a new SRM tube (8+1). Anyone have any opinions about this? TIA. Jeff
  8. What is a "gorila Stance and Grip?" Jeff
  9. I will double check things. THe red follower is an aluminum follower that came witht he SRM extension. I will try the factory one. I will also clean it. I have never used graphite on a mag tube. Do you just use the powdered stuff they sell for locks? How do you apply it nad how much? Thanks Jeff
  10. I have had Benelli Thumb. I load with my weak hand, carrier down. Jeff
  11. I was running my Benelli M1 S90 in a match this weekend and had a couple failures to extract a round from the mag. Once while running the gun once while unloading. The shell was partially extracted from the magazine and was wedged. The chamber was clear of the spent shell. I could not figure out what it was wedged against, but I needed to use a tool to get it to fully extract. I have a Mag Extension tube by SRM (Brings me up to 8+1). It is a fairly new tube with only a few undred rounds and has a red magazine follower. Any Ideas? Jeff
  12. I received a free modified carrier from C-RUMS. I have a Benelli M1 Super 90. Would this be helpful? What is the advantage? Jeff
  13. I ahve shot the 1100 Competition Master and I have the Benelli. THe Benelli is much lighter which is nice. It does kick and is more ammo sensitive, but I am not real recoil sensitive. I am big and I have been shooting a mossberg pump for years. I like the Benelli. Jeff
  14. I have shot a Benelli M1, Mossberg 500, and a Rem 1100 Comp Master, all with full power 00 buck, and while the Rem shoots softer I just don't see the difference as that big. I am a big guy, but with proper technique it is easy to shoot all three. I like the lightness of the M1 and think it will be faster - it seems that way in some field tests. I use a painless technique that is similar to what Gila Hayes teaches women and it works great. Jeff
  15. Botach is fine over the internet. I have had them put things on backorder without telling me, but a quick call got it removed from the order. I had no trouble calling them. I was a little irritated that they did not tell me that it was backordered. I just knew it was because i did not get an email within a day with a shipping day. Their mags are not marked LE. They were right after the ban went away, but not since month two after the Ban died. I jsut order 10 glock mags from them on one of these 12.95 specials. Came to MO in 5 days. They are periodic sales and will be on the website when the deal is active. otherwise I also buy fromm ivanhoe outlet (ivanhoeoutlet Their prices have gone up but service is impeccable. Police trade ins are the same as factory refurbs. the factory refurbs the police trade ins. I ahve one like this in G20 and it is great. Jeff
  16. I got that one. Works fine. Ammo still feeds as well as it does in the Stock Configuration. It hangs out 3" and the finish will get butchered from the gasses, but that does not bother me. Jeff
  17. Yes, If that is the CHEAP stuff $15 for 100 pack. It would not feed in M1S90. I found several othe cheap loads that would work. All for about $4 to $5 per box of 25. So lots of options. Jeff
  18. The Benelli Chokes should do fine. DOn't know about the Comp issue. One thing... try different brands of 00 buck. My benelli shoots 00 full power federal with a 3" group at 45 feet. The PMC low Recoil 00 Buck shoots a 8" group at same distance. Others will find that different brands will do well. I watcched an experiment ina class. There were 4 870's each shot differently with Federal 00 Low Recoil and Federal Full Power 00 Buck. Shotguns just pattern differently with different ammos. You should try at least 2 or 3 brands to find what your shotgun likes. Jeff
  19. I have the changeable choke tubes. I just have one choke though. Might look at getting a slightly tighter one soon. Thanks Jeff
  20. Thanks for the info. I do have an improved cylinder choke tube. So I am not certain why the 21" would be better? Any ideas. Jeff
  21. Well I have an M1 Super 90 with an 18.5" Barrel (Practical version with ghost ring and pistol grip). Love it. I bought an SRM Extended Mag tube. Brings it up to 8+1. The mag tube extends about 3"-4" + past the muzzle. I know the shot cannot hit it, but can anyone envision any other problems with this setup. I can already tell that the finish will likely be butchered, but I don't really care that much. I just want to make certain there is no damage that is functional. Is there any reason to go to a 21" barrel? How much would one of those costs? Thanks Jeff
  22. Well I tried it out today and it worked with evey load tha the gun would previosuly cycle except for the PMC Lo Recoil 00 Buck. It likes 1 1/8 oz loads moving at least 1200+ FPS (Factory Numbers). It works fine with home defense loads and Wolf Slugs, but not the PMC Slugs. Thanks I now need to write down complete info about what it will feed and what it will not so I alwasy buy the right kind. Jeff
  23. Any opinions about the SRM - Supercycle.com mag extension for a Benelli M1 Super 90 Practical, 18.5" Barrel, pistol grip stock and ghost rings. My gun came witht he +2. I was going to buy Benellis +4, but had an opportunity to get a SRM. Now I have a 8+1 (maybe 8+1+1). I like capacity, but worry about functioning. I do not care about ultra light loads (I have no problem with full power for a whole day). I plan to shoot decent powered Winchester, Remington and Federal. I just want this to work. I also may end up using it for home defense, but I doubt that full pwer Federal 00 buck will be a problem. I love this gun and do not want to have to mess with it. I just want to be able to shoot in a few 3 gun matches and have fun. Limited class only. The gun is otherwise stock. No sidesaddle planned. The Mag tube extends about 3-4" past the barrel, how dirty does it get? I thought I read somewhere that Lead would deposit on the mag tube. Help would be appreciated. Thanks Jeff
