  1. Wow, thanks, now I know what needs to be practiced One more thing about the handgun My glock slide has windows on the sides, and a kkm barrel, is that legal for this match? Thanks
  2. So on loaded starts shotgun starts, we chamber a round and then "Barney up" Also does the 180 apply to slung and unloaded rifles. I.e when you pull the slung rifle off your back and it sweeps behind you is that a DQ?
  3. According to cerakote, NIC you can apply cerakote directly to a freshly anodized surface without a problem. The surface of anodized material is pourus enough to give the cerakote a good bond. I have a gieslle mk1 rail that was degreased with acetone and Cerakoted. I had similar issues with the finish wearing prematurely, but after about 2 dozen sessions, of trial and error I'm finnaly pleased The result and durability if the finish.
  4. Ok I can't help but say it, it's not like the 223 has hardly any recoil to begin with, even with high pressure xm193. Please don't give 3 gun PF requirements. I don't want to have to go to a chrono stage for three gun
  5. I did not get an email either, but it did say confirmed. Not in my junk box either
  6. Looks like you will be the guinea pig marv, It may shoot a little softer than your m2. Which is a good thing for your shoulder.
  7. I got my trimmer back yesterday. Trimmer about 1k 5.56 without issue. I had to pay to ship it dillon, and that was it
  8. Bill, How many competitors are you at for sunday, and what is the limit?
  9. No there was no contact. After it happened I used a screwdriver to push the carbide tip around a few revolutions to inspect for a broken piece. Also there was no contact with the piece of brass as well
  10. Thanks, I did a little research, and yes it should read a short like you said. The motor turns free. I did contact dillon and they want me to send it back. I am shipping it tommarow. The only thing that worries me is that they only have a one year warranty on the thing. Anyways I will give an update once it is resolved
  11. I sat down to trim some more 5.56 brass. I ran this trimmer for only about 2000 cases total. The moment I turned the switch on the lights dimmed I saw sparks out of the motor (near the blade) At the same time the control box spewed smoke, and continued to do so a minute after I unplugged it. I opened it up, and it looks like one of the capacitors blew up. I measured continuity across the pins of the motor. The two outside pins read as a short. Anyone have this happen to them? Is there a way to fix this without sending it back to dillon? Any input would be helpful
  12. Shooting three gun for one year and I have seen that happen twice, pretty scary as a RO. When a 2.5 lb triggered 2011 hits the ground rolling.
  13. Colin a73581 Just made b class, 62 some odd percent
  14. That's Awesome, Not that he's missing his legs.
  15. Thanks to all the ROs , all te great people all the good times, and especially the recoil therapy
  16. Coal miner, I always though they where cast members of Glee, Jazz Hands we call em'
  17. I had the same thing happen to me on a rem 700 years ago, I used a drill bit on an extension, and the gun still shot under a minute, I was sweating for sure
  18. I just ordered a rear sight ( flip up snapped of in a barrel) Straight from fn service. Cost 38 bucks and showed up in about five days
  19. FYI everybody, Called FN today, a replacement factory rear sight was 30 bucks
  20. Anyone know of a good replacement rear sight for a SLP mk1 Mine broke off during my last three gun match, long gone too.
  21. I would say the best thing to do is start shooting matches. I just shot my seventh three gun match, and Im afraid to say that just about everything is different from my first three gun match, +1 on the els system. Great setup, spendy but worth every penny. One thing regarding Taccoms quad loader is can you hold four shells in your hand (twins style) with all four finger tips on both rows, I cannot, only my two middle fingers hold on and that causes the shells to ( lack of a better words) not be straight, which translates to poor loading into the gun.
