  1. I'd definitely be interested in meeting up with some BEnosers, especially one from Jersey!! I just found out I'm moving back down there March 1st, and need to plan where I'm gonna be shooting all year. I'm staying at the green gables, from friday night until Sunday, I'll be the young guy(23) all by himself cause his friends are lazy. Beers sound good right now, it's cold in VT. I can't wait to get down to some warm weather. YAY!!!!!

Andy, you're leavin us? Say it ain't so!

  2. Weather looks good over the next 7-10 days. I hope it holds out and is nice when the shooting starts.

    Shhhhhh! :surprise:

Don't jinx us, if you shot last year you'll remember the weather when we started Saturday morning! I also remember the blizzard that cancelled all flights out of the Northeast and changed my travel plans in a hurry.

So, let the weather gods sleep peacefully. Thanks. :)

  3. I've had pretty good test results with VV 3N38. I find it to be about as similar to N105 as I have seen. I have even used it in some local matches to save my stash of N105 rounds.

    What's your load?

Right now I am shooting 10.1 of 3N38 with a 125 gr Zero JHP and getting 169-170 pf out of my Brazos Pro Sx. As Bob mentioned, you do get quite a fireball sometimes.

  4. I don't know if this was new stock of something on the shelves for months, but I picked up a pound of N350 at 10 Ring in Spring Cypress, Texas (just northwest of Houston). They had several bottles of N105 sitting there.

    Bill

Sorry, called them today and no N105, must have sold it :(

  5. On another note -- 2 extra stages? Terrific! Will they still be in the same bays? I'm hoping y'all will still have the plate-rack area up, to shoot a mag for $1....

    Steve,

Someone said that there were 2 new bays built over to the right of the plate rack somewhere, not going to double up on any pits. Could be mistaken, but that is what I heard.

Looking forward to shooting with you again this year. Hope it is a little warmer than when we started last year!

  6. I'm happy the dates will work out for some. September is, however, a huge dissapointment for any juniors hoping to attend. I hear much lip service to the juniors being the future of the sport but when it comes to encouraging and accomodationg them this sort of thing happens. Juniors shouldn't be forced to make a choice between their education and IPSC. :(

The juniors are not the only ones that are disappointed. Us teachers who have to be back in school to teach those juniors are just as disappointed. It automatically eliminates any chance of us going. Why can the Nationals not be in the Summer vacation time every year?

  7. I shoot a Glock 19, because that's what my brother gave me. ( Yes, he is a nice brother)

    heidit,

If he is that great a brother ask him to buy you an Open gun! Then you can join the rest of us on the "dark side".

  8. My recommendation is do what I did................ call and talk to Brian (1-877-219-5598). Tell him what you want to accomplish with your reloading and he will give you the best advice as to what you need and don't need. And, his prices and customer service are the best around. I have bought 3 presses from him over the years and he has never steered me wrong.

  9. Monday 4:45pm

Thanks to all, and some really good surgeons, my wife made it through open heart surgery this afternoon. Everything went well and the tumor was removed successfully. It actually set a new record for the largest one of these types ever removed here at DHMC in Lebanon.

So, anyway, thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and phone calls. Will see you on the range soon..............now looking forward to Florida Open in Feb. See you guys/girls then.

  10. Thanks to everyone who has posted or called. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated by Ginny and I, you folks here on BE are the best. It is gratifying to me that the people I compete against in our sport are also such caring people away from the sport. We have a positive outlook about the days ahead and are looking forward to many more years together. Keep up the good work :)

  11. Wasn't sure where to put this but I guess here is as good as anywhere else.

My 50 yr old wife was diagnosed Wednesday with "Left Atrial Myxoma" a benign tumor that is growing inside the left atrium of her heart. It is basically a golf ball sized tumor that has been growing there for a while now. Only way to deal with it is open heart surgery and that will be done on Monday afternoon. Surgeons expect everything to go well but............it is still open heart surgery.

Her father had heart surgery 10 months ago, her mother 4 months ago (with a stroke while she was on the table), and now this!

Anyway, if you have connections above (of any sort) a prayer for Ginny's successful surgery and quick recovery would sure be appreciated. Need all the help we can get right now.

Thanks, you folks are the best.
