Ray,
Thanks for doing this for us, appreciate it.
Do you want an email from us letting you know when a package is on its way or not?
-
This is terrific, I absolutely will ship my ammo to American. Thanks Ray!
On a "side" note. As a newbie to the Nationals.......does the range have a pit set up where competitors can shoot (warm up) before they start their stages each day?

I got a set of 4 140mm mags ands 2 170mm mags from Bob with my latest pistol and they all work flawlessly. Fair price and unquestioned reliability= you can't go wrong. Buy 'um!

Just made my reservation. It may just be me or my computer but, when I clicked on the "online reservation system" link, it did not go through. Got one of those "link appears broken" messages. I called instead.

Update and report.
I ended up sending 5 of my STI mags to Accurate Plating and Weaponry and received them back yesterday. I am happy to report that the mags look terrific, a beautiful brushed chrome finish. Five years of wear and tear have disappeared! The transaction went great, their customer service was super, and I am very happy with the job they did. I have just sent the other 5 to be done. Thought everyone should have a first hand report on their workmanship.
Picture isn't the greatest but here you go..........

I started 5 years ago at 54, almost by accident. Family was in Florida for April vacation and wife and stepdaughter were going prom dress shopping for the day. Needless to say that was not my idea of a fun filled day spent on vacation. Somehow I had heard that Frank Garcia was having a 1 day class with 4 other guys so I called him and he said come on over. Went over to Frostproof the next day and.............the other 4 guys had "bagged" on the class. So, it was Frank and I for 8 hours one on one! Been going back down to Florida Open every year to thank Frank for getting me into this sport.

Does anyone know who/where ammo can be shipped to this year? Range? MD? Match hotel?

Something I did for my 650 when I had it:
-
Some time ago I added a used primer catch tube/bottle which has worked perfectly at capturing old primers but I still had the issue of new primers jumping the small chute on the 650. Finally decided to do something about it that turned out to be ultra simple. All it took was two small pieces of magnetic tape (sticky on one side) and a 3"x 1/2" strip of flashing. I attached a piece of magnetic tape on each side of the chute and then bent the flashing into a "U". It slides around the end of the chute and is held in place by the magnetic strips. No more "jumping" primers and it is easy to remove the strip to "recover" primers. Now I can keep a clean floor!
The picture shows both the used primer catch tube/bottle as well as the recently completed new primer chute "fence".
Cool idea, haven't seen this before.

No oil on either the fp or the extractor channels, and I do clean them often.
-
I have slide rides with click switches on both of my guns.
-
I remember when I got one of the very first 550 casefeeders it took a while to make everything work properly. I ended up doing some grinding and other "stuff" but it now works great. Of course, most of my reloading is now done on the 1050 with KISS bulletfeeder that sits on the bench next to the 550.
-
I have the click type on both my guns.
-
Man, glad I read this post, I have sometimes been guilty of using a plastic rod to remove stuck primers. No more!

Where is the best (quality and fair price) place to get mags chromed, now that Tripp no longer does chroming? Websites and phone numbers appreciated. Thanks for the advice.

Anyone know if the match hotel contracts have been signed yet? Is there definitive word about which hotel it is?

Is anyone still looking to purchase VV N105? If so, I know that Powder Valley has it in stock for $24.75 per 1 lb. bottle. If you need some for the summer you might want to give them a call before it is gone and we all have to wait a year for another shipment. Hope this helps someone.

I would assume not a single member shooting there has arthritis... hehehe
Take it from someone who aches during cold weather, I would much rather have it 70 than 10!

Got my big white envelope from USPSA in mail today
Vegas, here I come!
-
Background:
59+++ years old, not 60 yet
In the process of losing 20+ lbs
Been shooting USPSA for 5 years, started late
"A" level Open shooter for 2 years now
Live in NH so practice during Nov-April limited
Here are 2 videos of me shooting within the past year. First involves positioning (infamous stage 2 at this years Florida Open) and the second has some running in it, so two different types of stages. In my major match results I hover between 65%-70% of the winning GM's (40th at this years Florida Open) but I would like to improve. My accuracy and points are always pretty good but I am always many seconds behind the GM's with my times, so this is where I am losing positions in the standings.
What suggestions do you have to get me from point A to point B to point C and then get out of them so I can finish in less overall time? Moving? Transitions? Splits? Suggestions always appreciated.

I have arranged for Manny Bragg to come up to Green Mountain Practical Shooters in Morrisville, VT on June 27+28 for a very customized advanced level class. This class will be limited to "A" level shooters or above only and limited to just 5 people, I already have 4 people confirmed which leaves one spot open.
There will be a review of advanced skills then an advanced look at stage breakdown of splits/transitions etc., all geared to saving time during the shooting of a stage. Participant needs/wants will also be addressed by Manny. Also, some actual shooting of stages with Manny's analysis and critique. Everything based on a "higher than advanced class" level.
The cost of the class is $450 per person for the two days of instruction. As those of you who have taken a class with Manny can attest, he is an excellent teacher and he runs a great class. If you are interested in taking this class, or have questions, please email me at: nhglyn@comcast.net

I used to have all replies show up under a post but now it seems that you get a "list" of the replies that have been added, and you have to click each one to see what that reply says. Is this different than before?
Is there a setting I can click to have all replies show up in their entirety? I find the list thing bothersome, I would rather see the full text of all replies under that particular post.
Thanks for the help.
