Mine is about 1mm proud of the end of my barrel. If it really bugged you that much you can trim it and re-swage the end over. It should not be difficult if it is a Benelli part as it will be made of aluminium. But for the hassle factor I would just leave it

The spring on my Bomar that holds the up/down adjustment screw lost its tension. I contacted them and they sent me a whole new insert free of charge which I fitted. I live in South Africa. With service like that - I highly recommend them

I got myself a Lee factory crimp die and turned a rod that fits in my press. I took out all the insides of the die and when I get OP's brass I push it right through the die. Locally we dont get 40 brass that freely. BTW before you push it through you must lube it first, and I have found the best lube is the Dillon stuff.

Kurt There is only 1 screw holding down the front Hi-Viz sight. Have you had a problem with it coming loose and swinging around? Do you stay with the one light pipe for all conditions?

And do you change front sights throughout a match or stick to one?

Rather buy the LBT hardness tester. It is easier to use, more accurate and cheaper to boot.

This is how I modified my lifter in order to stop "Benelli thumb". I had to do no other mod's with regards the feeding, to the gun whats so ever. As I kept the angle that the lifter, lifts the same - I have had no feeding problems what so ever.

Oh - you mean that they already make an adjustable tube or do you mean that they make a long fixed length tube?

Why have you guys that shoot open class never developed a extendable magazine for your shotguns? It would require two pipes of different diameters, with one sliding into the other. Depending on the stage you could select the amount of rounds you want.

I lightened the carrier, and my Benelli runs 100% with it. I tried your modification of the lifter and still got my thumb stuck so I went the other way and lengthened it, which helped me. Greece: I hope to get there, it will depend on a few factors. I know a few guys locally are also speaking about going over.

Is it okay to use the 25% lighter recoil spring in the Benelli with the current IPSC shotgun factor?

I have never tried it, it is just a thought I had after shooting one. After shooting the Sprinco and playing with the different springs, I came to the conclusion that all it really does is enable you to reduce the weight of your recoil spring without damaging your frame. If I had to do it, I would have a heavy (22lb+) short spring with about 5 to 6 coils and a 8lb to 10lb longer one making up the rest of the length of the spring. I think that I would put the stronger one near the muzzle and the weaker one on the breachface side. I definately would seperate them with a small free moving washer that had the same outside diameter as the springs. What was your experience mcoliver? Why do you say that it did not work to well and what weights did you try?

Why doesnt anyone experiment with two shortened recoil springs. Have a longer light spring with a short heavy spring and seperate them with a small thin washer on the guide rod - the total length of which will equal that of the normal spring. I suspect that it should work the same as a Sprinco/Recoilmaster. Me personally: I have tried a Sprinco using a 4lb lighter spring and felt a difference. I then took the same recoil spring (4lb lighter) and put it onto my tungsten guide rod and shot the gun, and the tungsten guiderod setup felt better IMHO.

What calibre are you getting 20 rounds of, and are these magazines 126mm magazines (international box rule)
