  1. Thanks... Bulb Warning Illuminates when one of the exterior bulbs has burned out. That wasn't too hard, now which one, turned the lights on and they're all burning, so must be a brake or backup, will have to wait for help check those, If I dont wait you might see me on Funny home videos or one of those what-a-dumbass tv shows, don't need that...

  3. If you don't have a face mill, and you have a holder large enough, I have a 1.250 solid carbide EM that will get you across it in one pass. measure the width, if a 1 inch will do it, I have one of those too. Since your doing this work in a class, I doubt they will have many, if any 200.00 mills laying around, If there is something in particular you need for a EM that your class don't have let me know.
  4. Anyone here have an owners manual for a 02 ford windstar? I lost the manual for mine and a light come on on the dash that looks like a light bulb with exclamation mark inside it w/dashes around the outside....it's on the lower right of the dash. Not sure what it means?
  5. .006 might not seem like much to most, but is a mile to me considering my keyway tolerances are +/-.0002 (thankgod for CDC, LOL)not that you need to hold that for this, but now your centerline of the slide has changed since you didnt take .006 off of each side
  6. too bad its a windows server, apache supports this with mod_rewrite you may also look into using a url frame instead of A-name at your domain registrar
  7. When I first started working for Cincinnati Milacron I was there 2nd shift chrome plater, the stuff is nasty, they paid for my uniforms and boots, none of it could be worn home due to regulations, says right on the can of chromic acid, THIS CAUSES CANCER, not a may cause cancer like cigarettes, LOL...It also had a label that said causes sterility, though not sure about that one as I have 3 kids..hehe.......I ran back there for a year before moving to a lathe, now a mill.
  8. On a note, I do get feedback from shooters, but often times it doesn't come with data or why you believe the calculator is off, data sent would be helpful, would allow me to cross check yours against other data I have and to correct the calc if need be. Here is a quoted example that I received this morning and is typically what I get. both those just happened to be fixed time stages
  9. Im getting the data gathered up, hopefully after the next sedro rotation I will have good data on all the 08's for all divisions, want to make sure what I do have is correct.
  10. do you have support for php? I have one I wrote, but there are many freely available.

  15. those slides just don't look like 1 degree to me, maybe its just the small size......here is a photo of a part I was milling last night where the OD has a 1.04 degree taper to it. Might just be I'm used to seeing parts on a larger scale
  16. Looks less than 1 degree to me too, about 90% of everything run on my mills the table is on a 1 degree wedge, but I'm used to looking at 1 degree over 10 foot length of part, LOL not 6 inches length.
  17. Just saw this on you-tube, you can hear the incoming round, LOL, good thing he don't have a FAT head! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_516lll2Ck...feature=related

  20. Thanks Dale, I have hardly had much time and with area5 site covering ohio pretty well, I had to drop ohiouspsa and move the calc to its own domain, it gets a couple hundred unique per day and I have added several sponsor/affiliates logos to the header in hopes of generating some small commissions to keep the fees covered, hopefully folks don't mind the small banners, but gotta do it. I have production now calculating 0801-0804 working on limited right now. I gotta get some sleep soon, as I have to go back into work tonight at 11, I am on 3rd shift and been working 7 days a week

  23. I imagine I could lop off a finger in no time at all. Yes be careful, you'd be surprised what you could lop off, Ive seen fingers gone, arms broke, shirts ripped off, ive even seen a guy get his nutsack ripped open on a manual lathe(cross-slide powerfeed handle), long story, just never reach over and grab a rag off the tailstock while your power feeding, them handles can be turning rather quickly!...LOL Here is a photo of what I run everynight at work.
  24. I'm working on it For Reference....the calculators code is 213,563 characters and 5,561 lines of code long...
