Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thank you all for your kind words of support and encouragement and your generosity. It meant a lot to me and helps more than you know during this difficult time. Thank You! Paul
  2. Sherwood, Good question. Reference USPSA Rule 5.2.4 Unless I am wrong, after the start signal you retrieve your mags from the can, they have to be placed in mag holders according to the rules that apply to that division. Something good for the CRO and the ROs working this stage to maintain consistency, watch for and explain during this match. Course designer for stage 1 & 3, Jeff LaFlame Mags can be carried in the hand. Paul Hernandez 2013 Ohio State Championship Range Master
  3. Yes, you will be able to carry them in your hand.if you want.
  4. Hope you guys can make it back to Ohio again! However, I don't know if I can survive another "Kegging", But will try.
  5. Since this was your first major match I am assuming that you are not aware of the correct procedures in dealing with a Range Officer whose performance is perceived to not be up to your standards, or who is not dealing with the competitor in an appropriate manner. You need to bring the situation to the attention of the Range Master so that it may be addressed at that time, not blast the RO on a public forum. This benefits no one and we loose a chance to provide training and guidance to the RO. Area 4 had a very high quality of staff with a large percentage of them being Nationals Staff with significant experience, including about 20% of the certified Range Masters in the country. That doesn't mean that mistakes were not made and people got tired, after all we are only human. From my perspective the staff did a great job under difficult conditions. We were lucky to have them.
  6. My Advice is to know where the 180 is and don't break in, and keep your finger out of the trigger guard when not engaging targets.
  7. This is just a reminder. This match will be run under IPSC rules, and we will have a Chrono set up and will be doing equipment checks. See you Sunday. prh
  8. It is now official Miamisburg WILL be hosting a 6 stage IPSC Special Classifier match on Sunday July 12, 2009. This will allow competitors that wish, to receive an International classification prior to the US IPSC Championship. Stages will be: CLC-33 CLC-67 CLC-59 CLC-27 CLC-29 CLC-43 prh
  9. Larry, Sorry to hear this. Summer Blast was one of the best! - Hope you will have one in 2010. Paul
  10. Dale, I don't know if you have worked a Nationals or any other major match or not, but the fact is that most of the match staff do "PAY TO VOLUNTEER". The travel and meal allowances do not cover all the costs. prh
  11. I just want to thank all the competitors that gave the staff a standing ovation at the Saturday awards ceremony. It was greatly appreciated. See you next year! prh
  12. Paul, while you can be a cruel bastard.... I like it!!! Who me????
  13. Gary, Sorry to hear that you are still having problems with your tendon - Hope that the hump has stopped growing. Paul
  14. Sorry you won’t make it, however, perhaps it is for the best. I don’t know if I would survive another “drive by kegging” Paul Would you rather be chalked? What happens in Quincy stays in Quincy - NOT!!
