  1. Another variable to concider is where in the barrel the squib is lodged. If the base of the squid is incontact with the chambered live round there may be no damage to the barrel. Seen that one once at a match. First round went bang one hole in the target then click... rack a fresh round in and it didn't chamber. Tried again and the round chambered and bang. 3 40 caliber holes in the target. After someone pointed out the 3 holes two shot fired we had a close look at the barrel and no damage. Woof
  2. In the spirit of "Any advantage perceived or real"..... Make lunch something heavy and double portions for everyone that is shooting in my division If there is a tasting for the lunch menu.... count me in. woof
  3. If you can wear out the frame (big if) you can always get it railed. That will tighten it up for years to come. woof
  4. Let the planning festivities begin..... lets see... Turners.... check Swingers.... check clam shells... lets use the fast one... check... plate rack... times 2... check This is gonna be fun
  5. One is good.... Two are better.... There is no such thing as too many. With that in mind get one of each. Then block the SV web site on your PC and forget about the order. Next thing you know you will be picking up both and you will have a different dilemma... which one are you taking to the range. woof
  6. I have an older STI 2011 that at one time was a 38 super steel gun. Many years ago the comp flew off and I put it in the back of the safe and more or less forgot about it. I am now going to get a new top end in 9mm. The question is... should I build it into a 5 inch sight tracker of perhaps a 6 inch sight tracker. What do you guys think? woof
  7. Found it. The primer slide actuater(?) spring was broken. Replaced it and I am good to go. Thank you. woof
  8. I have a new to me Dillon 1050 I am trying to get running. The primer slide will not move all the way into position. Can someone point me to where I need to check / replace parts? The slide will move back under the primer tube but will not move the primer under the case. Thank you in advance. woof
  9. Roy, You forgot about the exchange rate adjustment and the metric conversion. When you figur those in the results are very different. Rob
  10. Your pistol also may have been out of battery when it discharged. The case in question may be just a bit shorter. woof

  13. I have been competing with my Predator Tactical in 9mm for a season and half and very much enjoy shooting it. Adjustable sights with a fiber optic front. It was purchased for competition and has performed as expected. I shoot 3 - 4 matches a month locally plus a weekly Thursday night practice during the season. So I have put several thousand through it and it is still tight. woof
  14. The setup crew set a new record today. In just a little over two hours we setup 9 stages on 8 bays. This is going to be fun. Bring your front sight and you running shoes. I think I am going to bring oxygen for the back bay There is little speed shoot that should be very entertaining to watch the go for broke types shoot Hope you all will enjoy the match. woof
  15. I really need to remind myself when picking out stages that I have to shoot this match too We finished setup and looked over the stages so hint hint... Bring your running shoes and your front sight woof
  16. Jammer1911, Nice lookin blaster you got there! woof
  17. All guns are different and you will need to find the right combination for yours. I can use only round nose bullets in mine. That being said. With 10 rounds loaded the Metalforms work in both my 9mm Colt and 9mm Predator Tactical. The Tripps I have only work in the Predator if they are loaded to 8 rounds but will work in the Colt with 10 rounds loaded. The Wilsons are not really reliable in either one with more than 8 rounds loaded. You mileage may vary. woof
  18. Just an FYI.... We had dinner first. I was hungry. Results are up on the USPSA web site. woof
  19. Just an FYI for those of you planning to use 275... There are lane closures due to construction So plan accordingly. Also this will be our first match using electronic scoring. So far it has been very easy to use at our practice sessions. I hope everyone likes it as much as the stats guys Papa Joe you may want to slip decaf in SEV's coffee pot As always thank you all for coming to our match! woof
  20. The inserts are not difficult to change. So get a couple other trigger inserts with the new blaster and see what you like. I have a long straight in my SVI limited gun and an Enos bottom curve in a Colt which works very well for me. woof
  21. Look at Predator Tactical. I picked up an Iron Shrike in 9mm and it is a blast to shoot. woof
  22. Been there... Done that.... got the T-shirt too. My 9mm Colt does not like my Tripp mags unless the bullet has a round nose profile. It likes the Metalform 10 rounders with any bullet round, pointy whatever. Try a round nose profile bullet. Montana Gold 130 gr round nose or maybe the Berry 38 super 150 gr bullet. Hope that helps. woof
  23. Jammer1911, Well that honkin big comp-well works! It is like throwing a mag into my limited gun You will not be disappointed in the comp-well.
