Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I use Beanie's INC. Has been casting bullets since the late 70's. check his website out: http://beaniescastbullets.com/
  2. Loaded 10 rounds at 2.8 clays and 10 rounds at 3.0 clays. 2.8 had an average of 782 fps and 3.0 had an average 802 fps. I loaded 480 green bullets at 2.8 gr of Clays. This is giving me 140 power factor, which is a good minor load.
  3. Just delivered... 1000 180gr 40s where sitting at the door when I arrived at home. Going to start the tumbler up with 500 in the morning. Going to load 10 rounds at 2.8 clays and 10 at 3.0 Clays then chronograph them on Wednesday. If I like the results of the test, then I will finish out the rest of the 500 rounds. I'm looking for a great Minor load for my son and myself. Son is using a G22 and I'm using a G35. Son prefers G22 with Minor load versus his G19.. Does anyone have suggestions about this unique Green Bullet....? Thanks in advance..
  4. Forgot to mention, Rowan will have a 3gun and USPSA match on the second Saturday this month. You should be able to shoot both matches if you want to.
  5. Talking about the 2nd Saturday, Rowan Wildlife Range was and has been using the 2nd Saturday for many years for USPSA matches. PHA just started conducting matches and they chose the same weekend for some reason. Don't know why, but they did... Rowan has a good bunch of guys shooting there, open invitation for you to attend.
  6. I ordered 5 mags on Friday, which is a very good price. I needed a G19 mag last month for my son and paid $32 after calling three shops.
  7. +1 - ACCURATE - Drop IN - Worth the cost... I currently have two KKM barrels, with one in a G22 and the other in a G35. I can tell a big difference between a match grade barrel and the factory barrel. Diffidently the KKM makes a difference. With tighter groups at 25 yards in both models. Both of the barrels are drop in. I use 1.130 OAL and have no problems with the drop in. That's just my two cents worth.
  8. Welcome to NC... There is a upcoming match at Rowan Wildlife Range in Salisbury next weekend. Here is a link to the forum. http://rowanbb.drsus.com/ Check it out and it also has directions to the range. The range is private, however the USPSA match is open to public... They have five bays for the stages and a great bunch of guys shooting. Also, I use Beanies in Oakboro, NC for all my reloading supplies. He sells guns, anything for reloading and reloads ammo (Class 6 manufacture)(Can make just about any load at request). Beanie has been casting bullets since 1977. Check his site out for the cast bullets. http://beaniescastbullets.com/ Thanks - Rob
  9. Ordered a thousand yesterday and Donnie said on 180gr he is three weeks out. Once they come in and I have a chance to shoot them, I'll post my results. Hopefully, they will be fine out of my G22 and G35. Only time will tell. Send them down range.
  10. Thanks - Less and Paul-the new guy - I am new to reloading and will be loading some practice rounds of zero tomorrow. I was not able to order my Green Bullets today, but I will Make time tomorrow. Paul-the new guy, If I was to drop the grains a little, do you think it will function properly, like down to 3.5 or 3.6. Less, Are both your teammates using Solo 1000 and the same amount of grains? Thanks Again.....
  11. Does anyone have information on a .40 load for minor shooting a Glock 35. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have decided to try some of the gator green bullets and will be calling Donnie tomorrow. I will be using VVN320 powder or clays and federal primers... or what is recommended. Need info Powder? Grains? OAL? Thanks - Rob
  12. A update.. Went to my buddies house last night to look at the SDB. After visiting for a while, we began talking about the press. I bought a SBD set up in .40 with spare parts kit, Dillon beam scale, Dillon tumbler (small), Dillon calibers, low powder sensor, and misc items... At a cost of $ 185.00, I think it is a awesome deal.. The SBD is eight years old, while he only loaded around 1,000 rounds and lost interest.. I will begin reloading shortly.. I currently shoot a G22 and G35. What's a good load data for these and also suppliers.? I am currently shooting Atlanta Arms and Ammo, 180 FMJ (Major) for match ammo and WWB for practice.. Jacket Bullet? (Brand) Cast Bullet? (Brand) Powder? (Brand) Hi-Jack Power and Outsydlooknin75 - Thanks for the information about the used prices Thanks - Rob
  13. What is a good price on a used Square Deal "B".. I have a friend which said he will be willing to sell it to me.. Thanks - Rob
  14. Has anyone shot this one lately??
  15. +1 I installed the Glocktriggers Vogel trigger, #4 striker spring, Lonewolf's new skeleton striker, and finished it off with 13 pd recoil spring on my G22 Gen 3. I went to the range Friday and Saturday, Awesome.. This trigger replaced a Glock Store trigger, and there is absolutely no comparison. The new trigger is very crisp, hardly no reset, and pretravel is gone... I shot 500 rounds with only on malfunction, resulting in bad magazine. Took the magazine out of rotation and preformed flawless with Atlanta Arms and Ammo, 180gr FMJ, Major... It conducted "Dry Fire sessions at the house when it was replaced and continued with "Dry Fire" at the range. Once I was in my live fire, groups were better and so was doubles... Again - Awesome trigger for GLOCK..............
