  1. Great suggestions... I took extra care on the extractor cleaning as well as the whole gun and lubed the bolt really well. Something clicked.. ran nearly 300 rounds today with no issues. I'm running glock mags with tf extensions. The 165's are perfectly sized but I tested some 147's with 3 grains of clays that won out in the testing so far. Thanks.. seems to be shooting great now.
  2. I installed it and sighted it in today.. no riser needed for me. The sight was awesome! Thanks!
  3. Ok.. I'm going to lighten up my tube spring and see where that takes me. Thanks!
  4. Hoping the cleaning fixed it... I have not reached out to LS yet. If it persists I will. It has a MBX buffer. I've considered changing out the springs... they seem very strong. Thanks!
  5. Yes.. I ran a variety of ammo. 95 / 115 and Atl Arms 147's. I believe all but the Atl Arms had the same malfunction. It was a little long.. so I didn't shoot much of it.
  6. Yes.. they are fine in regards to length. Thx!
  7. New Lead Star Barrage 16'' faxon 24 eclipse trigger 165 xtreme / 3 gr Clays / 1.14 / every round is checked The issue I'm having... about every 50 to 100 rounds I get a round that does not fully eject. The bolt grabs another round and all heck happens. I had run about 400 rounds out of the gun as of today. I cleaned it today.. completely. Hoping for no issues tomorrow night as I shoot a local match. Should I expect a break in period? Am I expecting too much? Thanks!
  8. I've been testing some loads and thought I'd put it out there. Lead Star rifle with a 16" Faxon barrel.. 95gr MG / 1.09 / 6.7 HS 6 / 1500 fps / SNAPPY... any less HS 6 gets messy so I stopped there. 124 Xtreme / 1.09 / 3.1 N320 / 1000 fps / Soft but only for Steel Challenge 165 Xtreme / 1.13 / 3.1 Clays / 850 fps / Super Soft at 140pf!! (softer than the 124's) will play with this one for a while. *** I've loaded 165's for my carry optics but never with Clays, always with n320.***
  9. Holosun offers a riser for the 510C.. is it needed? Has anyone tried it? Thanks!
  10. I use HS6 100% for my open guns... it is fine around 7 grains or higher. The round I'm testing is my steel challenge / Pro Am load. I clean every 2 weeks so problems. I can't say how the HS6 will affect the AR yet.. I'll run 750 - 1k in the next 2 weeks while just oiling and see how it does. I do believe the light bullets and slow powder is the ticket but my testing so far is light. The feel of the round for each person is unique... some may like the heavier bullet and fast powder feel.
  11. I have both of those and the ECL. Buy the 24C all day...
  12. Just did some function testing this weekend. Lead Star Rampage.. 24 ECL / 15" 95gr MG / 7gr HS6: Ran great... definitely a push versus a snap. Very accurate. 147gr Zero / 3.3 N320: Ran great... more snap but still accurate. No chrono #'s yet.. Sticking with the 95 for now.. will post Chrono data later.
  13. Ok.. bypassed the case inserter. Still had scarred brass so that isn't it. I have two 1050's... they both have a #5 shellplate on them and the pins are #3. I'm thinking maybe the one I'm having issues with has a damaged plate. After some testing, it appears the primer area is where the scarring happens. If I back off of it the primer is not deep enough... so not sure where to go from there. Thanks guys for the help and another reason I reload with Dillion (amazing customer service!). I think I'm going to try another shellplate.
  14. So.. this started a few weeks ago. I changed heads and the shellplate (one I've had for some time) on my 1050 and this happens about 3 times out of 10. The ammo will not drop check completely in my hundo and makes the whole process a pain. The ammo will shoot but I choose to only practice with it. My practice bucket runneth over. I did check my brass and they are NOT damaged before the reloading process. It appears that something is pressing the brass against the shellplate at to great a force and damaging the brass. Repairs tried: Cranked the swager out of the way.. I did not take it off completely (yet). I played with the primer setting and that is a "no go" immediately had primers surface. Ideas: Maybe replace the shellplate? Thanks wise ones..
  15. There is a pin and it is located along the slide rail. You can see the hole in the pic... it appears that the pin is there. You need to drive the pin out and inspect it and the ejector. The ejector should have a groove along the largest post. That is where the pin goes to hold it into place.
  16. Anyone using n105 for 9? If so.. do you like it and what is the mix?
