  1. You guys are killing me. I'm still waiting on mine plus parts.
  2. I'm wondering what kind of store credit I could get for a kidney.
  3. Mine rolls back much further now. My original bolo height was longer than most being .4685. Took it down to .4615 with some 800 grit sandpaper. Arc is visibly longer than it was. Gonna test some cci primers that this thing would not set off in da. Thanks to the guys at patriot defense!
  4. I felt a pair of the polymer ones this weekend. Will the aluminum ones be rougher textured, or the same but aluminum? Also what's the expected production date of the aluminum ones?
  5. Thanks guys, I wasn't aware of that thread. Did anyone here purchase the primary machine jpoint mount? I need to know what size they are threaded for. Nothing that fastenal had in stock was a tight fit, so I drilled and tapped them for 6-40 screws, but I've got another one coming that I would prefer to use the screws made for it if possible. I sent primary machine a message a few days ago, but haven't recieved a response. Figured I ask yall. Thanks.
  6. A month ago, I purchased a lightly used top end for my stock 2. Seller stated that all parts were stock except dawson front sight. Tonight, I finally got around to messing with this upper and here is what I find: There is a significant length difference between the two. Could this barrel be from a limited pro? I'd say its probably 1/8" or so, just guessing. I put them on the scale and there is a .2 oz difference in the two. Good news is, I put my other barrel in, mounted up the 8MOA j-point and changed NOTHING else. Heavy guide rod, scale grips, PD heavy firing pin, and Taylor Freelance basepad.
  7. That's wrong on so many levels. No details? I'm gonna fire up the lathe if I can't just buy one. Is this a homemade one?
  8. I can't get my scale to even weigh it. I know it will run, I've got about 500 through mine like that. Just hoping there was a better fitting option. Might try to lighten a Henning or something.
  9. I am trying to verify which cz plastic guide rod will fit the stock ll. I purchased one for a sp-01 shadow, and it fits length wise, but has a ton of slop in the reverse plug. I've seen one post on here about the guiderod in the p-07, can anyone verify the part, and describe the fit I can expect in the reverse plug?
  10. It flew off half way through a stage and I couldn't stop laughing, only had 1 Mike on the 12 targets left after I lost it. All I could think of is, does this still count as an optic, or am I now in open? It was funny in the moment.
  11. Well, it was plenty tight enough for my first match. It held up better than the brand new vortex red dot mounted to it!
  12. Got mine today, looks great. My sight cut probably a little on the loose side, but that's the name of the game with these guns. I put a drop of hot glue under the mount and then used blue thread locker on the set screw, it won't go anywhere anytime soon. Thanks Bruce for seeing a need and filling it!
  13. Thanks John, I've been debating all night. Part of me says wait until I can find a limited pro, use it for production to take advantage of the longer sight radius and use my stock 2 for CO. Part of me also just wants to try out a tanfo with a lighter front end.
  14. I saw that, and is part of the reason I wanted to go ahead and grab one up. Stock IIs are gonna really push that 45oz CO weight limit, the other two should have no trouble.
  15. Alright, to follow up on this, is there any difference of the frame from the stock to the stock two? Also what is the difference in a stock and a limited pro besides the slide/barrel length? Just want to make sure all of the parts I have for my stock 2 will fit the stock. Thanks for everyone's help
  16. We were talking about the similarities of using a g34 top on a g17 frame. The frames are identical, but it's still not allowed because it would be a change of barrel length. That's why I posted the question for carry optics because the caliber and barrel length would be the same, but the slide would be from a different model than the frame. A duplicate Stock II slide would be perfect, but the slide and barrel cost more than a whole new stock I Pistol. Sorry for the confusion.
  17. Yep, they are the exact same, still illegal. The frame is the gun, and you can't change caliber or barrel length.
  18. Yeah, I tried to pick up one on gb, my account was froze because it was flagged as a duplicate, but no one bid on it, it started at 300 and was buy it now for 450. I was mad I missed it. The guy relisted it and it went over 600. Just my luck, but I'll keep my eyes out. Guess another question I should have asked earlier is, would a stock slide in a stock 2 frame be truly CO Legal? putting a g34 slide on a 17 frame isn't legal for production, would that also preclude it from CO?
  19. With all the rule changes this month to the carry optics rules, I have decided to give the provisional division a try. I currently shoot a Stock II and would like to stay with the same platform, mags, etc. I found upper slides from eaa, but 750 for an upper and one mag got me thinking. Will a stock slide fit on the stock II? And are there any other differences in them besides the long dust cover? Seems like the stock would make the 45 oz weight with ease if weight became an issue with the stock II. And most importantly, I can purchase a witness stock for around 700, making the full gun cheaper than the conversion. Am I missing something here? I tried searching, but my Google fu is weak this morning, everything is only comparing stock II vs 3
  20. Didn't wade through the 15 pages to see if anyone else listed it, but "last of the dogmen" is my favorite, followed by "the postman"
  21. Came on here to read cause I had my first dq today doing exactly what the thread starter was taking about. Moving backwards and to my weak hand and had a mag get hung up. After getting it out I was behind the eight ball and coming up on the targets I needed to engage and broke the 180 while trying to reload. At least it was the last stage and I was the third from last shooter. I'm now in the "those that have" group!
  22. One other thing to keep in mind that I wish I would have been told to begin with, or found it in a manual is the plunk test. When working up your loads make sure they drop freely into the chamber of your barrel (out of the gun) and you are able to spin it with your fingers. Then turn the barrel up and make sure it falls out and does not have to be pulled or shaken out. This test will save you a lot of frustration.
  23. Well I did some messing around today, I brought out two other scales to confirm that my primary one was accurate. Before removing the baffle in my powder measure i was getting a spread of .8 grains over 50 throws. After removing it, i'm now getting a spread of .2 grains which i tested and groups are shooting just fine. Thanks everyone for the help. I don't know why this made any difference, but it definitely did.
