  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yes. Also, everyone gets the initial walk through, that should give everyone their chance to strategize. Like I said, after a shooter is done; if you aren't the RO, scorer or shooter, checking targets, then the only reason to be on the range is to paste or set steel. Then there are the "stage jumpers", but that's for another thread.
  2. Air gunning is a necesasry evi for some of us to get the stage properly programmed. I hope you never have to shoot IDPA. These are not new shooters. As far as planning, do it off the COF. That's what posting the stages on the web site prior to the match is for. We even have nimrods wandering around the target area outside of the firing zone. Just how is that helping them to prepare? People having to be told multiple times to clear the range are nothing but selfish. the rest of us would usually have most of the stage pasted before the shooter finished his run. You paste while a shooter is shooting?
  3. It should be stopped IMHO. Match times could be greatly decreased. Between shooters at our monthly matches, the air gunners outnumber the target pasters about 3 to 1. It is so bad that many times all the targets don't even get pasted. The next shooters have to wait because the air gunners don't seem to mind/care that they are slowing everyone down.
  4. This http://www.sports-vue.com/index.php/widget-micro-camera.html, and a zip tie, and my shooting glasses.
  5. I am planning on videoing my matches in order to possibly improve my scores. I did a trial today at the range.
  6. If you are a man, you will only once go to sit down on the toilet, without looking to see if the seat is down.
  7. Once saw a guy in our squad who had a bad day at the reloading bench. Started out with a terrible noise, magazine ejected from the gun, gun locked up, and a small knick on the cheek right under his safety glasses. He goes to get his back-up gun, a couple shots into the re-shoot, squib. Well, at least he knew where the powder went.
  8. Attach it to my "shooting jacket". Pics will follow soon.
  9. Anyone have an approximate date on this?
  10. We had our annual Toys For Tots shoot today. I loaded up my magazines from a fresh mult pack, (250 rounds) of .40 ammo, and dumped the rest in my new and yet unused ammo pouch. I was reloading during the day from the pouch. On the fifth stage, I was finishing and heard BANG, BANG, BANG, POOF. I immediately stopped and checked my gun, the slide was back about a half inch. I was getting ready to check for a squib and the SO said, "I saw your round go down range". I worked the slide and out popped a mushroomed 9mm casing. Ken
  11. Are you suggesting something? I shoot both. In IDPA I shoot either SSP or ESP. In USPSA I shoot Limited. Because in my "real world", I carry what ever my magazine holds. I won't quit IDPA just because I don't agree with the 10 round rule. I just do my best to follow the rules.
  12. I picked up a pair of Zach 2's this morning on the way to the match. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Herman-Survivors-Men-s-Zach-2-Waterproof-Hiker/16902320 The higher tops give me some extra ankle support from what I had been wearing.
  13. Got my membership card today, just in time for the match tomorrow. Now I can officially participate.
  14. I wasn't aware a "reason" was needed for buying a gun.
  15. Sounds interesting. I shot my Glock 26 at the last club match, because it is what I carry most of the time since I bought it a few weeks back.
  16. Can't post links yet. Go to you tube and put Evil Oregon Star in the search box.
  17. About 30 shooters. How many squads do they break into?
  18. But they should. If nothing else, for self defense situations.
  19. If you have a favorite gun use it. I like more than one of my guns. So I alternate between SSP, Glock 22, and ESP, CZ 75B.
  20. I wear Columbia hiking shoes. Been thinking about going to hi-tops for the sake of my ankles.
  21. “Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ― Bruce Lee
  22. I'll be the new, short, pudgy guy shooting the polished stainless CZ.
