Good choice. I just wish they would import the K100 Whisper and find a local manufacturer for their QD can. I'm sure Eagle Imports could help them find a partner. Remember the Glock 19 is called a "compact". As was the USPc. It seems compact is generally used by manufacturers to refer to something just slightly smaller than full service size Subcompact is like the next size down. So if you think of the K100 as full size, P1 as compact, and P11 as subcompact. (ie. G17 vs G19 vs G26). The new age of single stack subcompacts are basically a different class of gun IMHO.

Thanks for the correction. Previously I was pretty sure that the number after "Mk" indicated the year the design was released.

The Mk7 was introduced in 2007 with the K100 and P1 semi compact. Then in 2012 they introduced the Mk12 line. Each had a different importer, from STI, to Century, and now Eagle. I don't shoot USPSA, so I may be making a stupid comment, but doesn't cocked and locked in the holster give you the same pull every time? Unless there is a malfunction and even then you either restrike in DA mode or tap-rack-bang in single action mode still. So really the same trigger pull every time unless you choose not to.

Technically I think the CZ grip is thinner than a Glock. Granted it's only about a tenth of an inch, but still. I like both. You should check out Military Arms Channel on YouTube and see why he switched to AIWB carrying a CZ. It makes sense.

We could talk about whether the The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act would come into play depending on the warranty claim being filed. That is, should one ever need to file a claim. For the sake of discussion, lets assume the end-user didn't care about the warranty and just focus on the technical aspect. Here I'm not really talking about the hardness of the coating. I'm talking about the lubricity of the coating. As we've found, GPs need to be run wet, especially around that area. Coatings like NP3, DLC, etc... have dramatically low coefficient of friction ratings.

Has anybody tried some of the new high lubricocity (sp?) Coatings like NP3 or well known coatings like TiN to help with the locking contact? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

So, if I understand, this is as low as it can go while still acting as the "roof" for the FPB? Could it go lower on an X-Trim with no FPB?

Shot my P11 in a local club match today. Man, that thing is amazingly soft shooting for a subcompact. It was only the second time taking it out, I burned through six mags before a big storm hit last night and I had to pack it in. Soft shooting and very accurate. More so than any subcompact has a right to be

That's right. I measured my P11 and it's a shade over 1.4 (I got 1.429"). May need to look into removing the right side safety or something. But otherwise it should be good to go for IDPA BUG. 6rds in each mag, you can carry three extra mags for reloading. You start DA or cocked and locked.

Well, we know you can put a P1 slide on the P11 (I think that's actually what the P1S is). Given the rave reviews people have for the XDs4.0 I would think that putting a K100 slide on a P11 would be a winning combination! As it is, the thing is just about the perfect size for a CCW IMHO. It's slightly smaller than a Glock 19 in width (if you don't count the safety levers) and height . I think the P1S would be even better though since slide length doesn't really matter as much for concealment. What are the requirements for the BUG match? I googled and didn't have much luck. There used to be a local BUG match here in central North Carolina at Caswell Ranch but they discontinued it a couple of years ago. EDIT: If you need any measurements for your BUG match, I'm happy to get out my caliper and measure things for you. EDIT2: Yes, it totally makes sense to me. You can maximize training on a unified platform, same mags for the most part, possible to share holsters, logistically there are lots of plusses to training on a unified platform like that.
