  1. If you are legally allowed to own it in your home state, you are allowed to transport it, unloaded in your trunk to a match in IN. If you have a carry permit in your home state, IN recognizes all other states permits.
  2. I would LOVE to see this fight. Wouldnt you love a chance to kick the ass of some guy at work? Even if you probably wouldnt win? Just a chance to get one good shot in. Make no mistake, White is not a pansy. He started as a boxer and owned and operated boxing gyms for years. Then he was Tito's first manager. He has continued to train boxing and jui jitsu for years with some of the best in the game. He might not have a chance against a champ like Tito, but I bet he comes out aggressive and I also bet that Tito takes him too lightly. I wonder who White has been primarily training with to prepare for this fight.
  3. I am looking for a low powered variable (1.5-5ish or 2-7ish) with a Leupold Target Dot reticle. What is the best place to shop for this? Every scope place I look doesnt seem to have this reticle. It doesnt even have to be a Leupold, any maker of decent quality scopes with a similiar reticle would be fine. If I cant find what I am lookin for, I may just end up putting up a WTB ad. Or, does anyone know what the Leupold Custom shop charges to add this reticle?
  4. I always bring eyedrops too. My eyes are naturally dry, so when I wear contacts (anytime I am shooting) my eyes will dry out and start glazing over within 5 hours or so, even with extended wear contacts. On a super hot day I will actually re-wet my eyes after every stage.
  5. I gotta agree that Glock definetly DOES give a crap. They give away more stuff than any other manufacturer, least as far as I can tell. They advertise everywhere. They have always offered the lowest ratio of cost to performance and have improved some parts, though not all, of their design over the years. I dig that there is a difference between quality marketing and actual support, but I see it tough to argue that they dont do both.
  6. Sylvia did look messed up, Randy put a beating on him. His eye was black, not purplely bruised, but solid black. The whole fight he had a look of shock on his face, like he thought he was gonna walk through Randy. btw, Randy has had that ear for 20 years. That is NOT from any MMA fight he has ever had.
  7. Pickles, thank you for reminding me about Randy's crazy new overhand right. I thought his stand up looked WAY better than it ever has. Maybe training with Bas Rutten rubbed off on him a little. I cant wait to see him in the future, as well as whatever fighters come out of his new gym.
  8. Randy didnt have the cardio he used to, but he put on a great show of how far true grit and pure desire will get you. also, he put Sylvia on the ground 10 seconds into the fight. Last person to do that was Alrovski over 2 years ago. is it just me or did Randy not look much bigger than when he fought at 205? I know he only wieghed like 225 on fight night, but he looked just as trim. Nice to finally see a fighter (or any athlete) that can be counted on as a role model for kids. Now we all gotta wonder, who's next?!
  9. Dave, thanks, my bad, I didnt read it right. So when shooting strong shoulder, everything works out fine, and you dont crack yourself in the face. right?
  10. wow, my current girlfriend is pretty much like that now. I always knew she was a bit old fashioned, but i guess more so than I imagined. maybe I better marry her before she gets away. then again, maybe its all a an elaborate scheme......
  11. Does anyone know what the mag situation is with these rifles? Someone told me they use a lightly modified AR mag, but that sounded a little off to me. Why is it that you cant stay "in the gun" to cycle the bolt? I take this to mean that you cant keep it shouldered and your eye in the scope. I would think this would make it useless for MOR or any of the games where any level of speed is nessecary. I woulda guessed there to be a way to adjust it so that you can stay on it. Please explain more if possible. btw, thanks everyone for the replies so far. also, where is the best place to get finished 6mmXC brass? straight from SSS?
  12. I did a search first and found some good stuff, but looking for some firsthand accounts... Anyone here have any firsthand accounts with a Tubb 2000, or more specifically, the Spectacular model? I have check out the website a bit, and still havent been able to find an exact picture of the Spectacular model. Is this the top model for MOR/Sniper matches? If not, what is? What does it do better/worse that an AI rifle or similiar rifle from another manufacturer? Is 6mmXC the way to go or is there a better option? Thanks a ton guys!
  13. Thats awesome. My best friend/surrogate father gave me a complete lower for my birthday and I just got everything together. As soon as it gets above 30 degrees I'll be shooting it. Let me know how yours runs. p.s. love the digitized camo.
  14. I find it so funny that football players and fans love to talk about how they are the manliest of men, the baddest of the bad, and so tough that work boots envy them, yet anyone would bring up this idea of not wanting to play outside. Any football player (or any athlete really) that complains about the rain or snow, is a nancy queer and doesnt deserve to play the game. Go hard or go home.
  15. Yea, if I did decide to send it to someone, what would that cost? Also, what is the highest capacity mag tube that you can install that wont reach too far past the muzzle on a 20" barrel?
  16. I dont believe there is currently, but there has been attempts recently to put a variety of different bills in motion.
  17. Flex~ I read in the past about you cutting Glock barrels with a sawzall. I figure in that same spirit I would just use a hatchet, or maybe have my dog chew it to a certain length. I could maybe just bend it back and forth til it broke off at a shorter spot. Thanks for the help guys. I'll be cutting soon and Ill measure wall thickness then. If it is too thin, I'll worry about a new barrel when I need it down the road.
  18. It isnt super likely that I will ever use it for anything that "needs" choke tubes, but I wanted to have the versatility. I dont intend to ream it for choke tubes myself, a gunsmith can do that, but I didnt want to saw cut the end (which i would do myself) if it will bugger it up permanantly and never allow for choke tubes. I seem to gather that it is a small possibility that will happen. as an aside, for those that have actually seen it... if I drill a few small holes in the end of the barrel to act as ports, are those going to flash a lot in the dark of night like a comped pistol does? or will it stay dark enough not to blind me?
  19. Thanks Rich, thats what I was afraid of. Am I understanding properly that it may be possible that the barrel wall is thinner in the middle (at the 20" mark that I intend to cut to), than at the end where the choke tubes are now?
  20. lol... yea Luca, I know. Almost told my buddy to go back and check a serial number just in case it belonged to you-know-who. I dont imagine a whole boatload of those got made.
  21. I got a super deal on a new 870 a couple months ago and bought it for use as a house gun. It has a 26" barrel that I intended to have cut down to 20" and then re tapped for choke tubes. I am getting a little antsy to chop it, and hate to pay a gunsmith for what looks like a very simple cut with a bandsaw or abrasive cut off saw. If I cut the barrel myself, and shot it, would it still be possible to have it reamed for choke tubes down the road, or would I forever bugger up the end of the barrel? btw, when measuring shotgun barrels we measure from the rear edge of the chamber, where the case rim would be if it were loaded, right?
  22. a friend of mine called me yesterday and told me he found an old Smith and Wesson Open gun in a pawn shop in Montana. Now who in the world would ever wanna shoot something like that???
  23. I missed it too, but it was probably about all those ICORE guys hiding in Open, rather than shooting USPSA Revo
  24. Thanks guys, It hurt, but I dropped the money and bought an Eotech. Another forum member also offered me a Pentax 1.5-5 that I am gonna test ride and possibly buy from him. Any of the local 3 gun matches I might shoot locally rarely venture beyond 100 yards, and usually stay inside 75, so I think the Eotech will probably be my best set up.
