  1. Thank you Bo, I didn't know that Saul sold them as well . I know Saul, I followed some classes, when I see him on a match I will ask him. Thanks again! DVC, Henny.
  2. Reading these postings, I believe in buying this book! Is it possible to buy it over here in Europe (esp. The Netherlands? ISBN??) DVC, with kind regards, Henny Schmitz.
  3. Adrie, I hope that I will make the same progress as you did in the last months, you did improve a lot. Still remember Steel Nightmare (Dutch Open) Lets hope that my 70% of todays match will get to a 80 'till 90% in the coming period. DVC, with kind regards, Henny Standard SVI's rule, according to PistolPete!
  4. Yeap, PistolPete, you're right! DVC, Henny.
  5. Bjorn, I just discovered these boards in 2004, you're right! I'll try to learn fast, thank you! DVC, Henny.
  6. Garfield, thanks for your reply, now you know what I mean: for me the Dutch forum is to restricted. To meet other people on the Brian-forum is very imporant for me, it helps to widen my horizon. More people, more ideas...better shooting! DVC, Henny.
  7. As a proud owner of three SVI guns, Standard .40S&W, .38 Super Open and a .38 Super Bianchi modified, I know when I have quality in my hands. I've earned some clubchampionships and very good results in the Dutch Bianchi Cup (6-th overall) using SVI-guns. (Prepin' up for European Championships!) I'm addicted to SVI! For me the best on the market recommended by Maurice Drummen, Nuth, The Netherlands (EU). Best guns I ever encountered,..... of to a IPSC-match tomorrow with my Standard .40S&W, mikes my fault, the gun is not to blame! DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU)
  8. Coming from the Netherlands as a IPSC-shooter, to the Brian Enos forum! What I like to say is: that I learn every day reading this forum and all of its topics, meeting other people with other thoughts, still learning of experiences other people on this forum gather. Thank you a lot!!! Excuse my bad English, DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU)
  9. Dear Leo, I immediatly took my feeder tube apart and checked it. With my conversionkit came a red adaptor (genuine Dillon). The sticker on it says: adaptor .45ACP, 10mm .40 S&W, Barcode: 6 09824 13143 5. (Sticker still on!); Dillon 650! Is Dillon delivering other stuff for Europe than for the United States of America?? Delivered via Drummen Custom Guns, Nuth, The Netherlands (EU). DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU)
  10. DV8, But for .40S&W the adapter should be red (diameter a little bigger). It works well in my 650 when reloading .40 Caliber. I clean those adapters on a regular basis and oil them lightly. Timing can also be a problem. It's adjustable by moving that black part on top of the caseslider a little back or forward. Hope this works for you. DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU)
  11. I had similar problems with that spacer. My solution: I drilled out the holes in the tub. Now it's possible to adjust the spacer in several positions. Reloading .38 Super, .40S&W and .30M1 Carbine works well for me, even on high speed, no jams anymore. DVC, with kind regards, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU)
  12. Andrew, You can easily avoid ignitionproblems with slow burning powders by using Small Rifle Primers. (Federal 205 Gold Match/small rifle) I use them in my 6.3 gr N350 Bianchi-loads using a 115 grains Fiocchi-bullet, producing a consistent PF of 140, standard deviation reduced to the minimum On my gun I have a 6-chamber comp with small holes. Muzzle flip and recoil easy to control. DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU) In addition: Case: Remington.38 Super+P Nickel plated OAL/COL: 31.8mm/1.25" Flash hole/primer pocket: venturied 90 degrees (The Fiocchi bullets are similar to the Sierra's 115 FMJ Tournament Master #8115)
  13. Thanks a lot George, much obliged! DVC, Henny.
  14. Wise words Shred, I hope they will read this topic in the Netherlands too! DVC. Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands(EU)
  15. Over here in Europe most of the top shooters like Saul Kirsch and Eric Grauffel use Vectan SP2 powder in Open Class Major Division. It makes you comp work perfect at 9.4 grains behind a FMJ 124 bullet giving PF: 168. (.38Super Auto) Recoil and muzzle flip are easy to control. I've tried 3N37, N350 but those loads are snappier than the 9.4 SP2 load. DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands.
  16. Does anybody know? Is Kroil available in Europe? Never seen it over here! DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands.
  17. SVI .40S&W short dustcover, Schueman Barrel: 5", Cilinder&Slide trigger/mainspring 12 lbs recoil spring+shockbuff. 5.2 grains Vitha N320, COL: 30mm (=1.18") Primer: Winchester Small Pistol Bullet: Berry's copperplated 180 grains FP Cartrigde: Winchester .40S&W PF: 178 Works well in European conditions. DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands (EU)
  18. On this moment, I am busy with the development of Bianchi-loads, PF 140, using Vihta N350 behind a 115 grain Fiocchi-bullet. A slow burning powder witch enables my comp to work properly and gives a mild recoil (adiabetic expansion) but still produces the power to knock down those plates. I am now at a 6.3 grains powderload at a seatherdepht of 31,8mm (=1.25") and it works well! (even at 50 yards Practical) Gun: SVI .38 Super Auto, Schuemann barrel 5.5" DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, the Netherlands (EU)
  19. Over here in Europe (esp. the Netherlands) we'll always pick up the empty shells and reload them, 'till they crack because it's very expensive to buy new, let's say Remington .38SA+P or .40S&W brass (or nickelplated) Even on matches I' ll use old brass but always fit the reloaded ammo in the barrel of my SVI gun just to be shure. DVC, Henny Schmitz. NPSA, Netherlands.
  20. Eric, Maybe you're right from your standpoint of view, but my eyes are not as good as they used to be. Of course in transitions, moving from one position into the other etc. using a 22LR is a good training method and I practise that as well. But what I see (and need to see) is the most important thing for me. I need to see my target and my sights well aligned. DVC, Henny.
  21. And I use my Walther GSP, once a week, for training purposes esp. eye-techniques, because recoil is soft and it's easy to track my front and rear sight. Shooting a .22LR is OK to get back to the fundamentals of shooting esp. precision! Prep up your shot, pulling the trigger, feel what's going to happen, see your sights coming back onto the target and calling your shot. And then going back to my SVI .40S&W with better match results! Lot's of thanks to Brian, Jerry and Mat!! DVC, Henny Schmitz, NPSA Netherlands (EU)
  22. Dear Swede04, Here in the Netherlands we also have to shoot indoors, because of the noise shooting produces. Most of us use fully copperplated bullets or TMJ's, so the amount of lead in the air is reduced to a minimum. We are not allowed to use lead bullets because of health problems. Be carefull with that stuff. Nice shooting, DVC, Henny Schmitz NPSA, Netherlands.
  23. I am using the Redding Competion Seater Die for several years now in my Dillon 650. Purchased it at Frankonia, Duesseldorf, Germany for just Euro's 70,00, 2,5 years ago The best purchase I ever did concerning reloading. Accuracy perfect. Alignment perfect! I use it for .38 Super Auto Major and Bianchi loads! (SVI-gun) Instructions how to zero it very simple., best buy! DVC, with kind regards, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands.
  24. I don't understand Swedish, as you all speak en write good English please translate, DVC, with kind regards, Henny Schmitz, NPSA, The Netherlands.
  25. When I purchased my Dillon 650 at Drummen Custom Guns (Nuth, Netherlands) they told me that it would last for a lifetime, so I don't expect any overhole in the next 60 years, my age will be a 105 then. DVC, Henny Schmitz. (NPSA, Netherlands/Europe)
