Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. good to hear! and as far as being too expensive... for me its a couple bucks more but I get more rounds loaded per pound than some alternatives so it works out for me
  2. orignially the link took me to a google translate page. I was able to find that article. Sounds good news but it might be awhile till we see it again
  3. The last couple of times Ive gone into my local reloading store and asked about n320, the guy behind the counter has said I better find a replacement, citing the bankruptcy thing. However, it looks like this might be older info because I found this: http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2013/09/nammo-plans-to-acquire-vihtavuori-powder-plant-in-finland/ Anyone know anything about this? Edit: I stopped reading just short of RDA's post before I added my post. Probably referring to the same article, but his link doesn't work for me.
  4. I have a zev ss magwell and a SJC brass magwell for my 35. I got the zev first and it just didn't feel right. I picked up the SJC and I love it. Personal preference really, but I like the SJC. I have a zev mag release and love that.
  5. I love n320. but, I not a huge fan of TG so you may not like it if you dig TG

like the other guy said put a few thousand down the pipe and see how you like it. I didn't like the sights so I went with a Dawson adjustable rear and fo front. haven't looked back since. love them for a trigger I went with a vanek, love that and the phase "night and day" doesn't do it justice. however for less cash you can piece together a trigger that would very very close but it'll take time patiance and tweaking.
  7. as others have said, no they are not. I should have asked first Hehe. edit: I run a 17 with a similar load, a little slower, and I use a Wolff stainless guide rod with a zev 12 pound spring and I would like to try a 11 pound in for what its worth. also a classic vanek trigger system
  8. When you feel a primer give resistance, either with a hand primer or a 550 upstroke, do NOT just keep pushing. Stop and see if there is a crimp or a bad pocket or something. Primers are loud....
  9. I missed the sale at both places.... I'm not too fond of Natchez after they sent the wrong thing once and it was my fault. But, for 20 bucks a pop....
  10. I'm seeing 22 bucks right now at 515 pm cst on 3/24. deal dead?
  11. ah ok so since I bought a used one it is prolly one of the order models
  12. Well, the rear sight I bought it with has been removed (heinie), the previous owner or whomever put that sight on did not want it to move at all! Had to hit it more than I would have liked to get it to slide out. So the dawson adjustable is fit and looking good. I put the front sight on and... it overhangs the slide cut out. I thought I read somewhere that they don't? I should have looked into that a little more though. I didn't really want it to overhang b/c, imho, it looks dumb. The front sight that was on it previously overhung a ridiculous amount and I didn't like it. Edit: Did I just imagine I read that and they have always overhung, or did I do / am doing something wrong, or did they change it recently. Thanks
  13. thanks for the input guys. I ended up going with the sane height as on my 17, .285. I tend to shoot low so I got the shorter recommended height. Chet, ill prolly end up taking dawson up on that with my 1911. I had my milspec machined to fit a dove tail but I'm not a fan of the one the gunsmith used. And he put the wrong rear sight on. lol, that's for a different day and forum though.
