  1. CR speed is difficult to make work properly with the large square trigger guard of the Tanfo. Quite a bit of modification needs to be made and even after that the gun isn't as stable as it is with other holsters.
  2. Currently being imported by Universal Shooting Academy .. Fantastic unit, love mine too.
  3. Thanks Sarge. I'll switch them out and see if I notice a difference. I have been using the Mr BF for a while now and haven't changed it.
  4. Why bother changing the powder funnel? What's wrong with the original one?
  5. I've got both. The Mr BF is on my 1050 and the Hornady on my LNL AP. Mr BF wins hands down
  6. For pistol (I shoot .40) is it worth the money?
  7. Not to take away from this thread, but how did "four hours sleep in 40 minutes" work? I've tried similar things (low frequency) and they seemed to be just annoying to me, as you mention it might.
  8. Got an email from a friend who is also a commercial reloader. Attachment was a letter from Scharch saying they are disbanding their machinery (ie, reloading equipment) division and concentrating on brass... Which explains why Top Brass comes up when you google Scharch
  9. Just another note about this ... I've downloaded 4 albums ... Therion - The Miskolc Experience Therion - Sitra Ahra Epica - Design Your Universe Nightwish - Once I have to say that Nightwish is my favorite of these, with Therion a close second. The male singer from Epica reminds me of the old Gwar stuff with his guttural voice and tone. Great stuff though. Wish I had found it sooner!
  10. Thanks for the pics Matt. Did that clear up the problems?
  11. DAA has the newest design on their website. And at €399 plus shipping .. Well, you can do the math on that one .. And the site says in stock .. I already have one for my 1050 or I would buy one from DAA
  12. Mine is similar, although I haven't taken measurements. I will next time I take it all apart. On mine, I can actually push the left side in and the entire assembly will push about .045" ... when I talked to Dillon, they suggested trying a spacer on the shaft (11061), so I got a 1" spacer from a buddy's motorcycle shop and put it in as a shim. It seemed to help for a while, but it has been getting looser lately (about 5k rounds since then). It is also making an unusual 1/2 moon shape wear mark from the left-right movement on part of the stroke on the right end of the shaft. No time now to take it apart and post pics, but will do so when I can. Also, has anyone with this similar problem noticed the left cap and screw rotating as you pull the handle? Not sure if it is normal or not ...
  13. Odd ... I actually really like classical music, just don't listen to it that often. I also like most heavy metal. Kinda like peanut butter and chocolate ... they really go together I downloaded Therion .. The Miskolc Experience which was recorded live with the Miskolc Orchestra ... listened to it as I was cleaning up the garage ... just awesome! Going to download a few more albums right now. Thanks to NicVerAZ for the recommendations!
  14. I may end up buying the one on gunbroker and having dies machined for .40 and .45. Cost isn't really my main concern at the moment. This is the same one for sale on GB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj4ku8-DqrY
  15. Thanks jmorris .. If you just punch in scharch.com it takes you to the top brass website. IIRC there used to be links to the machinery page but I couldn't find anything. A casepro would be cheaper yes, but from what I've read there's a 10-12 month wait. I've got a casemaster jr right now and have har no issues with it, but it does get hard on the arm after a while. Magma makes an automated version for around $6k. Not sure how much the scharch is. I've searched around and there are as many different opinions as there are people using the different machines. Some people like the push through style, some like casepro rolling, some like the scharch style.
  16. Not overly interested in the case feeder, although from what I hear it is more reliable than a typical rotary style. Really interested in the case roll sizer, which they have dies for 9mm, .40 and .45 I've seen one on Gunbroker but only in 9mm, nothing that I can find in .40 ... From what they told me, the unit in the pictures is a Scharch, but I can't find anything on the net about it. Not sure how old it is, but they got it with the Camdex they bought. Ideas?
  17. My 2 are about a year and a half old. They have wear marks in the typical places from holster. In general, the finish still looks really good. Not sure what prices are like south of the border, but I got these 2 from Freedom Ventures. They import the Tanfos into Canada. Prices are on their web site, but the GK is $1950
  18. Like the 2 in my avatar ..... Here in Canada you can get hard chrome or the GunKote finish
  19. Any word from Mythos on the specs he used? I would like to get some machined ... I guess since a guy I shoot with is the operations manager for a local machine shop, I could always take them out and have him make new ones, slightly tighter ... but how much tighter??
  20. Doh! I was asking both but realize now it was poorly worded. Thanks guys

Interesting thoughts Pat ... Distraction ... I set up a stage for our L2 match here last weekend which had a NS swinger. Open the door, swinger activates. Swinger did not cover any of the targets behind it at all. Swinger was low and the targets were high. I put it there for a distraction, purposely. Quite a few people commented on how it was pointless and why did I bother ... Seems like those were the ones who either hit the NS swinger or had Mikes on the targets. There were 4 mini targets at about 12m. Not terribly difficult shots. But the swinging white target seemed to attract a lot of attention ....
  22. Which bearings are you talking about? Part number?
