  1. I have had my CC 4p XDM for about a week now it came with the production legal tungsten guide rod. I to wonder what difference could 1oz could make i can tell you just by switching them and putting the stock guide rod in and feeling the gun and then putting the tungsten guide rod back in what a difference. I love mine and can tell a difference shooting it as well. I also like being able to use 1911 recoil spring there a lot easier to come by and there is any weighted spring you could want.
  2. 231/hp38 will work well for what your wanting.
  3. Sorry I have been crazy busy. So I have had my CC Xdm for a week now and absolutely love it the trigger pull is perfect almost zero take up. The slide to frame and barrel fit is very tight Rich said it should take a few hundred rounds to break in. I have shot it in two matches already and it ran flawless. I am able to transition from my 1911 which is what I mainly shot to the xdm with out even thinking about it. I was a little worried that the grip treatment would be to aggressive but it's not. The tungsten guid rod is pretty cool and what a diffeance it makes it changes the way the entire gun feels. Might have to find one for the 1911. I have not had the time to test the accurcey formally but I can tell you it shoot what ever I aim at. Rich was great to deal with answered what ever questions I had very promptly. I am very pleased with my decision to go with Canyon Creek. If you have any question let me know I will do my best to answer them.
  4. Welcome. If you are just starting out at Tuesday night steel. You should defiantly check out Rob Leatham's intro to steel. It is on the 4th Sunday of the month.
  5. I had mine set at 2-2.5 it is prefect
  6. I just received my Xdm 5.25 4p from Canyon Creek this week. It is amazing I used it in a match the day after I received it ran flawless. Rich was an absolute pleasure to work with look foreword to doing more business with him.
  7. Thanks. They look like they would do. But last night I had a Safariland discount card fall in my lap. So I might go that route and setup a SS and production rig. How things just got complicated. Lol
  8. Put my reloads in them. But now I use Dillon's ammo boxes.
  9. Welcome. This the place to be to learn all kinds of useful information.
  10. I am thinking about picking these up for my new production rig. Does anyone have any experience with them.
  11. So I placed my order for one of the black Xdm 5.25 4p yesterday. Rich was great, talk about a fast response. He said he was going to try and get it shipped out yesterday. I can't wait to have it in hand. I have been wanting a xdm 5.25 since they came out and just keep putting it off.
  12. I have been considering picking up one of the CC 4p for production and was wondering what everyone's thought are on them? What are your thoughts on having the barrel and slide refitted that comes with the 4p setup ? Is there a noticible improvement in accuracy? What all does the refitting help with ?
  13. I have a friend who is thinking about selling his Kimber Classic Royal and I am interested in buying it. It is in good shape finish still looks great a few scratches but not bad for being at least 10 years old. What do you think would be a fair price ?
  14. Welcome and we will see you out at Tuesday Night Steel. I shot single stack out there as well.
  15. I started with Wilson 47D in my Spartan 45acp. But i could not get them to drop free consistently. I already had one Cobra mag so I sent the 47D back to Midway and order 5 more cobra mags they drop free great and have had zero problems with them. I like the cobra mags follower a lot more and over all they are better made. The Wilson mags with there long opening down the side of the mag gets dirty fast as well.
  16. NicVerAz I shoot Tuesday night at Rio as well. I am by no means an expert but here a few things for you to think about. Don't over analyze the ammo. I have a friend that has been using Walmart Cheap federal ammo for as long as i can remember in all his pistol from his Kimber to his Sti and believe it or not he wins quit a bit with it. Shooting under the clock is a lot different then target shooting for the best grouping. Plus if your going at night there is a huge lighting difference. Take your time and don't worry about the clock misses will kill your time as well as make up shoots. It is much faster to have one shot per target then to miss and have to make that shot up and now you have possible forced an early reload that could bite you at the end. Check out tips for newbie under the introduce yourself section you will find a lot of good advise http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78927
  17. I would look in the general reloading section we are not really suppose to post load data in the beginners form
  18. I have 5 mags on my belt 1 to start with and 1 in my back pocket i have yet to need. I like the CR Speed Versa Pouches but the can be pricey.
  19. I used Hp-38 for both 9mm and 45acp but I have sense switched to Clays in my 45acp it is so much cleaner. Will be trying 9mm with it soon.
  20. To be honest i was thinking the same thing. :)

  21. I have a flat with a magwell i felt an arched i did not like the way it felt in my hands. It all comes down to what feels the best in your hands.
