I have two kids that just started IDPA, USPSA, and Action Steel. Both have M&P 9 Pro's and are learning to control the recoil and group their shots. They have TONS of range and trigger time with steel challenge and 4-H shooting sports on .22's. My dad has cast bullets all my life and he's retired now so I dig up the wheel weights and he cast and loads on my Dillon 650 for us. We shoot Tite Group (Buy it in bulk 8 lb can) and Winchester or CCI primers (Depends on how cheap the bulk buy is for 5000). We cast with two pots and have multiple 6-Cavity Lee Bullet Molds 356-120-TC single grease grove. The 120 grain saves you on wheel weights over the 147 grain. You can turn out about 6000 bullets in about 4 hours (Then you have to size and lube them). Yes there are more man hours involved but we shoot for way less. I have a 3rd child that will be on a 9mm in a couple of years so we do what we can to save on bullets. The initial cash layout is expensive for casting and reloading but we've purchased all our stuff over years of shooting so it was not too bad when you spread it out. My Dad can load about 600 rounds an hour and I can push almost 1000 an hour when I have all the primer tubes full and nobody's talking to me on the 650. Kids check the case length and head space and drop them into 100 round boxes for the next range session. We've never had any issues with leading in the barrels or accuracy. Just my two cents.
