  1. The Beretta part # for the 1301 Shell Lifter (elevator) is C5D306. I ordered one through my local gun shop, who in turn got it from the UK importer (GMK). HTH Keith
  2. Not adjustable but Beretta do a gel tek pad that sticks onto the comb http://www.berettausa.com/products/gel-tek-cheek-protector/ It comes in 2 sizes, .24 & .12 (6mm & 3mm I believe), it can be used on Synthetic or Wood stocks. HTH Keith
  3. Dude, I think you've answered your own question...
  4. Hi fireman489 Here you go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdGl_6JoUWU It uses the A400 Xtreme and Xplor, but the 1301 is very similar to the Xtreme anyway. Happy cleaning! Keith
  5. Steve, great poster! How many times have I had to figure that out! I agree. For the amount of times people ask the question about barrel / tube length, could this pic become a sticky?
  6. Thanks for that Mick, very interesting! Keith
  7. This video uses the Xplor and Xtreme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYYK0lYiJTI but should tell you all you need, as it covers Kick-off and non kick-off stocks. Keith
  8. Hi Lucas I think the T15 Torx might only be needed if you have the Kick-off system installed? Otherwise it's a Philips and a 13mm socket. HTH Regards Keith
  9. As Neomet says, Optima HP chokes, either the flush fit type like the one supplied, or the extended ones. Briley also produce replacement chokes as just one more example. http://www.briley.com/
  10. Hi Neomet. It could be the slot that runs along the floor of the lifter. Some easing of the edges with sandpaper might help..
  11. With kind of plastics that are available now, I'm amazed no-one produces a clear tube.
  12. Hi Stuart Sorry to hear the VM has broken, and the hassle you are going through. There are a few parts that fit M2s and VMs, is the 'rat tail' one of them? If so, I always order my M2 bits via my local gunshop. Regards Keith
  13. HOA Are you saying that it doesn't put a shell onto the lifter when you shoot it, or when you just cycle the bolt by hand? The 1301 is similar to a Benelli M2 in that in order to put a shell onto the lifter when not shooting the gun, you have to use the button at the back of the lifter (it's a silver button at the side on an M2). It one of the things that catch shooters out on a start where the chamber is empty but the magazine is loaded. HTH Keith
  14. Agreed, the barrel clamp is not needed. If you can very carefully ease all the sharp edges at the end of the lifter, I think you will be OK. However, if you still feel the need to have the lifter welded, there are a few people who post on the forum such as Benny Hill and Crums who can do the job. HTH Keith
  15. I shot the British Open Championship with mine today, and I had two issues. The first one, which was minor and I'm sure was my fault, was a double feed so I can forgive that, but the second was Remington Managed Recoil buckshot. Bang, click, rack the gun, bang, click, rack the gun, F**K! I think the bolt wasn't coming far enough back to reset the hammer, but it also wasn't ejecting the empty cartridge. The RMR are a high brass design but I don't think that was the reason for what was happening, I just think the RMR does have enough kick to it. My advice would be that if you are thinking of using RMR buckshot in the 1301, make sure you've test fired several rounds first! Keith
  16. Hi Patrick I seem to remember you posting a pic of a lifter that was 'slash cut' across the width and it worked a treat? (might not have been a Benelli though.. ) Keith
  17. Wow, this was a real 'duh' moment when I read this as it had never occurred to me that was what it was for. I believed the same as everyone else about the slot being a 'guide' for the cartridge, consider me schooled! I have not had the lifter welded on my 1301, just eased all the sharp edges with a file and sandpaper, it has made a major difference to the loading (weak hand from stripper clips), it just gives you more confidence to stuff them in there and not get bitten. However the M2 slot is a lot more pronounced so would take a bit more work? Keith
  18. Could the Kickoff stock be the same one fitted to the Xtrema 2?
  19. Hi Everyone I thought I'd put up some pics of the magazine tube that is supplied with the 1301 in the UK. The tube is plastic (not as bad as you think!), and my gun is the 24 inch barrel so it is flush with the end of the muzzle when using the supplied choke (IC, flush fitting Optima HP). It comes with a spring but I am still using the one that came with the gun when it had no tube on, and it still works fine, no fail to feeds at all. The image of the label on the bag is included just in case, but I do not know if this is a part number or not. I have also got a Nordic +5 which I am going to go with, this sticks out past the end of the muzzle by just over the length of the standard (shortest) Nordic end cap, and will be using an extended Modified choke. HTH Keith
