  1. that is a bitchin load in my ar. haven't duplicated it's extreme accuracy, but i'm not prepping cases either. just use once fired stuff and the nosler NBT's from midway. using 25.5 of 748 got best results.
  2. i spent alot of time on this many years ago and determined it's much faster to turn into your strong hand. snapping your head to the target yer engaging allows you to quickly get your torso moving towards that target, hence the draw from that side is more natural and i believe less movement to mount the gun. may be me, but YMMV.
  3. vince-i talked to phil about shipping ammo to the tulsa range for the MG nationals and he said they will be able to accept it at the main lodge-no problem.
  4. be careful-it is a BETA! love safari on all my macs, but tried to get it to run in XP-impossible, especially with all the active directory overhead with our environment. i'm hoping the bugs will get worked out at some point, cause all i use is safari on my macs.
  5. Apple Computer announced today that it has developed a computer chip that can store and play high fidelity music in women's breast implants. The "iTit" will cost $499 or $599 depending on speaker size. This is considered to be a major breakthrough because women have always complained about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them.
  6. A young Marine officer was severely wounded in the head by a grenade, but the only visible permanent injury was to both of his ears, which were amputated. Since his hearing wasn't impaired he remained in the Marine Corps. Many years later he eventually rose to the rank of major general. He was, however, very sensitive about his appearance. One day the general was interviewing three Marines, prospects for his headquarters staff: The first was an aviator captain, and it was a great interview. At the end of the interview the general asked him, "Do you notice anything different about me?" The young officer answered, "Why, yes, Sir; I couldn't help but notice that you have no ears." The general got very angry at his lack of tact and threw him out. The second interview was with a logistics Lieutenant, and he was even better. The general then asked him the same question, "Do you notice anything different about me?" He replied sheepishly, "Well, Sir; you have no ears." The general threw him out, also. The third interview was with a Marine gunnery sergeant, an infantryman and Staff NCO. He was articulate, looked extremely sharp, and seemed to know more than the two officers combined. The general wanted this guy, and went ahead with the same question, "Do you notice anything different about me?" To his surprise the gunnery sergeant said, "Yes, Sir; you wear contact lenses." The general was very impressed and thought, what an incredibly observant SNCO, and he didn't mention my ears. "And how do you know that I wear contacts?" the General asked. "Well, Sir;" the gunny replied, "it's pretty hard to wear glasses with no f*#kin' ears."

  11. flyer for the shotgun match is here: http://web.mac.com/speedoption/iWeb/CAPSL/...0Challenge.html
  12. no clue-stayed to tear down all the stages and cut out-was a long weekend. i'm sure steve will get them posted to the website real soon. otoh, we scheduled the 2nd annual shotgun challenge for sept 8.
  13. no can do, dave... Virginia Count? It would accomplish the same goal. Under the rules you'd have to use paper, which means basically you'd have to have somebody behind cover down range to score if you're going to go long like he's talking about. Based on what we saw at the BARC I'd imagine anything past 300 would be give you a lot of "2 mikes" from the Limited shooters. NCPS don't do no paper at 300+...
  14. so, except for the 22 yd texas stars?? anyway, glad u could make it. dave, we can go further on that bay, and might at some point.
  15. Are you going to be a runner or a thrower? I'm guessing those are all paper cups right, not cans? cans, bottles, and i think i saw a few shoes. looks like a new 3 gun stage for monday.

  18. i keep it real somple and think of 2 things: hearing the beginning of the beep to react: getting set up to break the first shot, wherever that is.
  19. wow-found a pristine copy of the 1980 south west pistol league "official course book" in my bookcase. got some great stuff in it, dimensions for courses of fire. even has the original steel challenge stage "speed option", which was called "west covina speed option" back then. anyway, if anyone is interested, i'l scan it-it's like 40 pages.
