I have the safariland 014. It is very well built. It can be adjusted out to 7 inches in length.

Thanks for the starting point i was thinking it would be around .2-.3 difference but wanted someone elses opinion. I will try 4.0, 4.2, 4.3,and 4.4 to see which one gets me there

Anyone use zeros or precision deltas? Preference between the two?
-
Anyone have a starting point for 200gr zeros with ramshot competiton? I have a load of 4gr @1.18 with 200 grain bayous, but never loaded these jacketed zeros yet.

Give the case a bit more bell. That shoild help

I didn't have issues screwing the cyclone button all the way down on the CK Arms grip, but because the button does not allow the mag release to depress all the way down, it wouldn't let me release a mag. OP, let me know if you run into the same issue.

I had the same issue as you. I put a spacer behind it to extend the button a bit and that solved the problem.

Dawson tuning kit has everything you need

I have two new MBX mags and 3 standard STI mags. I've never tuned a mag before any recommendations on the process or tools and measurements. Is the tuning CK arms specific or is it on a gun by gun basis?
Are you using tuned mags? I had issues with mine out of the box until i used tuned mags. It has run like a top since then.Shot it at a match last night, used Atlanta Arms 40 SW 180 grain JFP ammo, lots of jams but I chalk it up to the break in period. What a fun gun to shoot
There used to be a thread on 2011 mag tuning. Next time you take the gun out pay attention to which mag you have the failure with. The feed lips may need adjusting. I would be surprised if it you had issues with any of the mbx mags those are supposed to be good to go out of the box from what i hear

4.0gr ramshot competition loaded at 1.19 under a 200gr bayou bullet. Very soft and accurate out of my fgw wide body (kkm barrel).

Take a look at the ck arms grip kit. It comes with everything except the trigger (which you already have from your current gun). If i am not mistaken you would need to buy a svi trigger bow for the pt grip.
Another benefit i found was the ck steel grips accept both sti and svi magazines as well... i have a freedom gunworks gun built on a ck arms frame. When i had the plastic grip i couldn't seat a svi mag. I picked up the steel grip and now both types of mags run in my gun.
-
In my experience you have to be a bit more precise with your reloads with the metal grips. With the plastic grip you could afford to be a bit more sloppy because the grip will flex.

I have the large backpack and have had it since 2012. I am very happy with it. It has heldup very nicely.

I have a ck grip. I feel like it is grippy enough but it will not make you bleed (not even close). I don't have experience with the svi grips but the PT grip that a friend had was "sharper" and a bit more g4ippy but when doing a mag change it was harder to shift my grip to maneuver it. They are both very good grips so i don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I have tried WSF and ramshot competition. My current rs comp load is very soft. I have n320 as well and will try that onve the rs is gone.
-
What about giving it a spray of hornady one shot after it dries from wet tumbling?
-
is it limited legal?
Yes, they were designed to fit the gauge with sti tubes
-
The ck arms grip is reduced in size compared to the srandard polymer grip. That with a short sti trigger and it may be the ticket for you.

Use the aftec with one spring for the first 5k rounds then add the second one back

No, its a good powder. Can make major safely within sami specs. I used it when i first started loading .40 major then switched to ramshot competition because i heard good things. I will go back to it once i go through my other powder

I have one, it feels great. Grippy enough but not uncomfortable. I can't compare it to the PT but I think it is as grippy as the skateboard tape that i had on previously

When I saw this topic I was hoping to get some input on the Night Hawk other then expensive because I already know this. I just ordered a custom 9mm all Stainless about three weeks ago I was told it would be about two months, the wait is killing me! I tried to order a 9mm stainless Les and was told 24 months wait which seemed clear they didn't want to make it! I considered a Wilson but it was an additional $800-$1000. When I ordered the Night Hawk my dealer called them and they spend time with me going over every detail as to what I wanted down to the engraving they offered to put my name on it but I figure this would hurt the resale someday. They could not have be nicer or more accommodating I hope it shoots well or I should say I hope I shoot it well because I know it will be a precision gun. If there is anyone else shooting one please let me know, you can PM me if you prefer not to post here. Thanks
Nighthawk is very good too. They started out as bill wilson employees and went out on their own to start nighthawk. They make a good gun. I had a talon 5" that was great. Tight fit and accurate. I never used any ammo other than ball. The only reason i got rid of it was because i wanted to have a limited gun built.

I like it. I have an old guga ribas and one of the new universal holsters and i prefer the safariland over the other 2 that i had. It is very smooth to draw from. It feels solid and it locks up tight when you have the lock engaged.
