Has anyone had issues with an ejector pin that doesn't stay in securely? When i am breaking the gun dow to clean it, it slides out with no resistance at all
-
It comes with the regular 1.5 inch belt attachment. Its a great holster. I love mine

I found the gugas ribas can get hung up if you don't get a perfect draw straight up and down. The daa i tried didn't have that issue, but my favorite holster is the safariland 014.

200gr bayous under 4gr of ramshot competitionis very soft and makes 170pf out of my kkm barrel. Oal is 1.19
-
Try ramshot competition, I use it in .40 with 4gr under a 200gr bayou bullet at 1.18. Made a consistent 169pf at area 7 (only bc the bullet weight read 197gr instead of 200)

I have a CK metal grip in 4140 steel. I had it black nitrided to avoid any issues with possible rust.
I have felt the PT evo grip and if it was around when I got mine I would have gone with that. I haven't had the opportunity to handle the svi grip but the 187 texture is appealing to me...

I just recently got a set of Racer mag pouches for my 2011 mags. It says they are setup for 2011 mags from the instructions but they seem a bit tight (i have adjusted the all the way to the back of the pouch). Has anyone used a different combination of spacers to get them to loosen up? Any help would be appreciated

They have free shipping this weekend on cases. SHIPS4FREE is the code

There is no mystery to tuned magazines. It involves no more than keeping them at their proper dimensions, and is easily accomplished by the do-it-yourself gunner.
Spend a hundred bucks and get Dawson's kit and you're off to the races. Keeping your mags at peak performance is very satisfying.
I'm not saying there is a mystery to tuned mags, I am just saying it is a good deal as they are already put together with the parts (guts and basepads) you would end up buying separately

Between those two choices i wpuld go with the Brazos.
Plus if you buy from them they give you a discount on the tuned mags.

I have never seen these before but they look like the DAA ones I use. For the price I would give them a try. The reviews seem good. I would not be surprised if they were both made at the same facility, only speculation.
That was my thought as well. Just wanted to see if anyone here tried them out.

I started with wsf and 200gr coated lead bullets when i started reloading. Its a good powder and you can make major easily within the range. I am switching to precision delta 180grs under ramshot competition.

I have been happy with these.
Bought them when they were on sale

I had one for my 2011. I liked it a lot. The only problem I had with it was if I did not draw in a straight line the gun would get hung up (this was operator error). I did switch to a safariland and haven't had the issue with a sloppy draw stroke hanging up the gun.

Benstoegerproshop has a good setup with everything you need for single stack.

I didn't reload when i was shooting my 9mm 1911 and ran tripp cobra mags flawlessly out of my sti sentry. I only had 2 malfunctions out of 10k rounds and one was with a wilson etm magazine (others have had good luck with them) the other was with a bad factory round.
If i do decide to get another 1911, i will pick it up in .40 and would buy tripp mags in a heartbeat
-
Thanks guys i think i will pick one up.

Does anyone have a DAA belt and teck-lok mag pouches? I read somewhere that people weren't able to make that combination work. I am thinking about picking up a new belt but don't really want to buy a whole new rig...

Did it work for you?

I don't know why it wouldn't.....but I can tell you that the one Grams spring/follower I had wouldn't stay inside the feed lips of the new mags.......
Did you load the mags full for a day and have the spring "set"? I had that when i first put the grams guts in the sti bodies. Loaded them up full and then unloaded them the next day and that did the trick

7lbs seems a bit light for the recoil spring. I was running 9lbs when i was shooting 9mm...

Beer in mind BB, (I couldn't resist) my particular CK is almost $500 more, and that's with no magazines.
I've had new cars that required a return to the dealership for a tweak, or two, that's for sure, but somehow this seems different. When the builder tells you he has put at least 10 rounds through the gun before the finish was applied, and then 10 more afterwards, and because of that tells you it can't possibly be doing what it's doing, then a fellow kind of feels all out there by his lonesome.
Do you have a steel grip on the pistol? If so, that makes up the $500 difference from a dvc.

Thanks, i didn't think it was a big issue since it can't fall off while its assembled. I might try to find a roll pin or an oversized pin though
