Count me among the guilty. If I get pressed into RO duty I do usually ask the shooter if they have any q's or if they understand the course of fire. My bad, I didnt realize it was such a big deal and will try to avoid it in the future unless I KNOW I have a new shooter in front of me. Then I will or wont depending on if he/she has that lost look. Nothing like cracking down on a first time shooter to keep them from coming back eh? Ive been known to use a foot wedge in golf too!

I shot a couple last year and I dont have I clue what my score was other than "poor" I would have shot with you Joseph but I was going to work and didnt look close enough at the club calender. If I had your $$ I would do nothing but be a match tramp too, every weekend a different match, different town, different sport.

But most importantly the fact that I KNOW that you looked good while doing it though. Maybe you can take first in Eville in MM CDP?? The palauqe is still impressive to the unknowing, but it is kind of like finishing first in the special olympics. IF I ever take a 1st MM at a sactioned match I wll get serious about requalifing SS. There is that rule about having 6 or more shooters in your class and then its a auto kick up if your first. Till then Im happy being a MM hacker.

I got one for my 550 that I use to load 45 for IDPA out of my Wilsons. I still use the dillon resize/decap and use a redding seating die. I cant verify it but I think the Wilson chamber is on the tight side and using the Dillon crimp I did get a few that didnt chamber fully. After the LEE FCD no more problems.

Would these be the same guys I see at the gunshop and shows eating donuts and drinking coffee that go thru less than a couple hundred rounds combined all year? The same guys who can tell at a glance what gun a guy in a movie is using but cant tell you the diff between a tactical reload and reload with retention? Just out of curiosity if the AWB sunsets and the high cap market opens up will there be brand new Beven mags for sale instead of sending parts in to be worked on? Sounds like it could be a lucrative venture.

Im just curious if after the ban sunsets (keep your fingers crossed) will there be a easy supply of new High cap mags for all the wide body guns like STI/SVI? I dont own one, yet maybe, and it seems that one of the big issues for these guns is not only having mags that function but the cost which seems really high. Will ordering a few new mags for a Limited or Open gun even be as easy as ordering Wilson 47D's or 47T's??

I have had an individual chastise me via email for not using cover and in a later match he started hands on a door, at the tone he didnt move to cover at any point but flung open the door and engaged targets while standing in the doorway, no procedurals were assesed. Im sure most people dont realize how much they use cover unless they review it on tape. Its not for $$ so I dont sweat it.

Lets see first thing is having a friendly, encouraging and cute MD like BillD. Secondly, dont be range Nazi's with new shooters and by that I mean a shooter who has been to shooting less than a full season. Of course saftey is first but most new shooters are not really in contention to take first place (or regular ones like me) so if they push cover, dont necessarily ding them and push them even farther down. Or if they dont move fast enough after the draw, dont reload from total cover or some of the other minor things that you dont expect a regular shooter to do without penalty. Let them know but dont pile on penalties just cause you can. Make sure they have fun but still point out things that will be penalized in the future. There isnt any $$ involved so cut them some slack.

I switched from Tite Group to Clays a year ago and never looked back!! TG is absoutly filthy if you download it all. Using 2oogr SWC with 4.7 gr it left soot and crud in my gun something terrible. For me Clays meters JUST FINE, 4 gr over a 230 gr Monana gold TMJ makes major and its soft and off a rest accurate as hell out of my Wilsons. I have about 8 pounds on hand and 4K loaded up to get a start on this years IDPA and maybe some Limited 10. My gun seems to never get dirty either. I weigh a charge about every 150-200 rounds and its never off over half a 10th (.05 gr) by my scales and I use a RCBS 10-10 and a 510 alternating to double check. I do use the dryer sheet method and have grounded my reloader to the house ground to help with pesky static cling as well.

Your best fix is a Cummins in a new Ram.

Thanks for the info, I do reload 5 or 6 K of of 45 for IDPA a year now, or there abouts, I just wouldnt mind buying factory ammo if there were a suitable one for sale at reasonable prices. I reload to save $$ not because I really like it. If I could find ammo that filled the bill for PF and recoil for 6 or 7 cents a round I would throw my reloader in the closet. But hey, who wouldnt? I have a long way to go till I figure out what I want to buy. Looks like Limited 10 for now while I gather more info. Hope you guys dont mind more Q's down the line.

So would something like a STI Stinger in 9mm fill the bill for all but pins? My 1911 45 would be fine for that I 'spose. What happens when you run factory 9mm thru a gun like a stinger?? Must it be loaded up to make major to make the gun and the comp function normally??
