  1. Eric, if you're looking at the individual shooter, (as in, you've already picked Stage>Squad and have already clicked a shooter and you're on the screen where you can input their time, procedurals, etc) you should see the stage name in the top left. Example from my phone attached (stage name "Pallet Monkey" - top left just under menu buttons): You are correct! In my haste to create a stage I named them EK and EK1. I'm so used to seeing my initials I didn't see it!
  2. I just downloaded the iPad app tonight and started playing with it. My initial thoughts are I like it! Having just worked the Ohio match and personally scoring every shooter on our stage over the entire weekend I would like to see some reference to the stage name when you are looking at a squad list or scoring an individual shooter. This would help prevent being on the wrong stage. Obviously you would figure out you are on the wrong stage with the first shooter but it could create a timely re-score and possible accuracy issues.
  3. If you've never shot this match and are looking for somewhere to shoot this weekend i HIGHLY recommend attending this match. It is one of the best local matches. Unfortunately I can't make it this month.
  4. I have the Ready Tactical standard pouches and would buy them again. Very simple design that works great. Add some velcro to them to lock them to the belt and forget about them.
  5. Stage 6 he had to clear a malf. It doesn't look like it effected him to bad Banks Only stages 1-5 are shown in the video. He ran a 12.02 on stage 6. There were 3 guys in front of him with 11.38's and 11.39's.
  6. Any idea as to how the KKM barrel compares to the stock factory barrel weight wise?
  7. Tom, I also like to start my practices by shooting a magazine or two into the berm with no target. I simply focus on the sights. I think its a nice warm-up. I read that on here somewhere last year. I think it was a tip from BE himself.
  8. It's kinda like driving a car...you can watch, listen to other people explain it, and get behind the wheel and still clueless. Just takes a lot of practice and confidence in your shooting. Im still in awe after watching some shooters, they are just fast & accurate. Im still more concerned with being safe, and doing everything right. Just be safe and have fun and 100,000 rounds from now you'll be better. Best advice I ever got was get a couple thousand rounds and go to the range, until you can hit inside a 4" circle everytime. Tom, You are where I was last year. I started shooting last Spring with virtually zero prior gun experience. I spent my entire first year building a database to which I could draw from. I remember the first time I tried reading Brian's book, LOL. I put it down within two pages as it was pure FRENCH! I shot 4 Majors as I felt that was the best way for me to gather experience the fastest. One of the best decisions I made. I was slow. I worried about being safe and I constantly thought my way through stages. I practiced a TON. At the end of the season I knew I had improved but I couldn't see how much. I then took that experience and applied it to my Fall/Winter dry fire routine after spending an evening with Steve Anderson. The improvement in year 2 is dramatic. I no longer think my way through stages. I have a long way to go to meet my goals but I also know there are no short-cuts or magic pills. Put in your time, shoot with better shooters, ask lots of questions, take classes, dry fire & shoot some more. Just my $0.02.
  9. Dry fire. Get yourself a copy of Steve Anderson's dry fire books and set yourself upnwith a routine. You will want to supplement it with occasional live fire practice.
  10. The least Dan could have done was got someone from Kentucky to translate. What is so hard to understand about load 'er up?!
  11. I have an M&P 9L with 124gr MG, 4.4 grains of N320 @1.13. I chrono around 134.
  12. If stage 3 was "The Oasis." What do you call stage 4 when you put your mag on the barrel instead of the handcuffs? LOL That was hilarious. The video doesn't show you face but I can still see the expression on your face. Priceless!!! Now that is beautiful! He never shared that! At least he had mags on his belt though.
  13. Alex, Congratulations! Nice shooting. Alex also gets the cool shooting shirt award for sporting the Pine Tree with two guns.
  14. I'm already looking ahead to next year's match. A.T. gets my nod for the trooper award! As his prize I will personally see that he gets his own personal golf cart with driver next year. +1 many would have bagged the 'ol gun up and called it quits.
  15. Http://goo.gl/VJTXN Website is case sensitive There are some great pictures out there. Don't forget to buy one. Prices are very reasonable and David was sweating his arse off all weekend too!
  16. Stage 7 is definitely the toughest. At least I didn't fall in the pit!
  17. Tough to get video today. 7-8'shooters per squad. I was always working. I gave up on the video after my first stage.
