  1. 98 degrees today thanks for that info!
  2. Ok 9.2 grains of imr 4756 124 grain pdelta jhp 1.235 at the seating die 1.250 in the tray Wolf srp Set up infrared on tripod very overcast ced2 Avg 1369 Hi 1419 Lo 1353 Es 66 Sd 25 Pf 169 Avg 1368 Hi 1385 Lo 1353 Es 32 Sd 11.9 Pf 169 Changed set up Ced2 infrared on table both front and back bar 100% level Back for whatever reason tends to have sag Avg 1379 Hi 1390 Low 1360 Es 30 Sd 10 Pf 171 Shorty just for kicks with two holes. 1326 1338 1318 10 8 Pf 164 Not going to do it I am not making major with this powder in this commander length shirt hybrid two hole But this a very nice load out of my full size hybrid four hole 7 port comp. very very soft and extremely flat!
  3. But man is this stuff nice. Hope I found my new scrimp powder. Cause he-6 hard on ya with all the holes I have but it does shoot flat as heck with a 115
  4. Ok so 8.8 grains gave me a165. let's see what 9.2 grains gives me. At 1.25 not by choice lol. They left the seating die at 1.235 hit the tray at 1.25 lol Why are all barrels so slow!!!! Does it take anyone else 9.2 grains of 4756 to get over 170 power factor with 124 jhp?
  5. I am out to test run it. If I am happy when I get home I will break out the files and true it and clean it up
  6. anyone able to make major with this powder?!?! I am going to try 8.1 grains @ 1.165 if i can get it to the taper crimp die before it pushes out to 1.17 somethin
  7. I am going to make it shine just as soon as i can test drive it. So I am sure I don't have to mod it any more. I am really sure I can get it to do what i want. I am not afraid to break out the diamond cut bit and take the sides out the front chamber. you can be ballsy when you got an extra titanium bedell on the way to you lol PS I extend the comp guide rod relief all the way using just the sanding drum! lol Truth is i do have access to a bridgeport mill and all the machine tools I want at work... problem is at work I got to much WORK and takes all of my time to play haha. So i end up on my front porch with a dremel tool and a beer:)
  8. This comp was made for the days when the power factor was or 175 so most people were running 180 +.... I don't remember. So running it at 173 with all the barrel ports the front chamber and that end is IMO useless and slows cycling as well as makes the gun nose heavy. I anticipate a lil faster cycle better pointing and more forward pull from opening up the bleeders at the angle I cut. I like a heavy balanced gun with a really fast slide. That big azz steel comp really hinders it. So i got two choices lighten the comp or the slide...not ready to start chopping up a slide with a dremel tool..... YET
  9. I guess really all I did was make a bravos thunder comp with out the open front chamber. If I notice The dot circling or tracking funny I am going to break out the tile bit and open the sides up on the front chamber.
  10. I'm jonesing bad to get out right now but it's pouring rain.
  11. so I think it turned out very well considering I did it with sand paper a dremel tools and and cordelss drill
  12. Ok so no mill no drill press and no band saw what is a fella to do! break out the dremel with a cut off disk and some 60 grit barrels and go to work. so I had this big ole honkin comp on my gun tooo heavy and not needed. I decided before I spent the money on a titanuim comp lightening would make a noticeable difference. sooo I went to work First I used a cut off wheel to get it close. then i started knocking it down with sanding barrels so I brought it down with 60 and shaped it up with 120 till i got here The ni decided the side bleeders needed to be bigger since i cut off the front end. I got out my uni bit chucked up in my cordless drill and went to drilling the angle.
  13. That gun looks identical to a 34 open I built a while back and sold.
  14. That's what I do steve I put a heavy clear on it after. Its cheap works well and takes about 20 min to do and you can change it anytime u want.
  15. got the new slide done today... i guess this month is red!
  16. Paints great slides cracked. Lol I fit a new gonna be painting soon
  17. I drug a bone stock and I bean bone stock ( not even a trigger job) 9mm trubor from D class last june (2011) to A class this june. I just finally in last 3 months chopped up the slide after 45-50K rounds. 9.7 oz slide made it about 6K rounds before it cracked. But things i have learned 173-175 is wayyyyy more betta than 168. light slides cycle really fast especially with a light comp. If your running a gun with holes like my super and trubor now feed them a steady diet of beannny gas powder... hs6 4756 3n38 ect... your scores will thank you for it. My slide weighs 10oz now on my trubor and with a 9 lb spring it screams when it cycles. my supper is to slooowwww with big heavy ss comp and 11 oz slide.
  18. any body got a load doesn't have to be major I just want to film the the 4 hole 9 port comp once at night and i figure power pistol should light it up pretty good. I got some pp and 115 and 124. prolly 115 would better more powder more flash lol. will be using the search also ok decided on 7.3 grains with a 124 wow great balls of fire!!!!
  19. what comp are you running?
  20. I wouldnt go under 10 for a major gun. The difference in how the gun runs from like 12oz to 10 is night and day
  21. while back I cracked a slide and have to have this new one cut. Jeff Abernathy did the machine work on the slide and it came out great!
  22. I am fighting the valence issue myself I am going to run a full dust cover and unique slide on my next one and just start cutting the cover back till I get where I want
