  1. Sorry, felt like a piece of meat when paying such a high price. Knowing in a couple months it will all change.
  2. Just got back from the Indy 1500 gun show where I bought 5k spp for $220 which included tax. One vender had a very limited quantitly. Supply meats demand.
  3. I have a 6 in Fat Free STI 40 cal built by Benny hill from Triangle Shooting Sports, it shoots anything from PMC 165 grain factory ammo up. Has never failed to cycle anything I feed it!!!
  4. I agree with Mike, the 6in has the extra sight radius. The 6in sight radius improved my long shots (6in steel) at 15 yards. The gun cycles plenty fast.
  5. All the shooters I ever met take the sport serious. Its not a day at the park walking your dog, its spending time with all types of people who love to shoot, some as young as 14 and as old as 75. You will never meet more honest people who are willing to advance the sport. Some of the most giving people I ever met.
  6. Thanks for pointing this out. Everyone on this forum should read this!!!
  7. Our rifle pistol club shoots pistols every Wednesday night year round. We shoot plates man on man indoors till its light enough to shoot outdoors till 8:30. That means we shoot from May to Sept outside. When that starts we shoot 2 people man on man at Texas Stars. We draw names and keep shooting till dark. You get pretty good shooting them. It proves usefull as many local clubs have them in their USPSA match's. You get pretty frustrated at first but it really helps when it counts!!!
  8. I agree with sroe3, shoot to your strenghs. Taking slightly longer to get an "alfa" makes more since than getting a "mike" because you took a shot you were not comfortable with. In a good field course there is always more than one way to shoot it!!
  9. USPSA teachs safety, safety, safety, if we the RO's don't enforce it then we fail!!! I shot for 1 1/2 years before I took and passed the RO class. I learned during that day and a half class you can't ever overlook safety for the shooters self esteem....sorry....but a DQ is a DQ, not a warning!!!
  10. It's also possible the 1911 and the 40 cal fit his hand better than a polymer pistol. I love the grip/handle of the 1911 but really don't care for the way the Glock's feel. Personal preference, but how it fit's your hand and how it feels has alot to do with how well you shoot each gun.
  11. What really sucks is when u c people that DG'd and it wasnt called because they run the club where the match was!!!
  12. Good people, always willing to help new shooters, honest as they come, the same rules apply no matter where u shoot, safety 1st, alot of divisions to choose from and most clubs have 4-5 field stages and a classifier. Lots of practice n a controlled safe place.
