  1. Wondering if this device is legal for IDPA?
  2. I have a P-01 in urban grey Omega, these come with the extended barrel 4.5" and suppressor sights. I was wondering if I bought a regular factory barrel 3.9" would that be legal? The P-01 Omega with the regular barrel should have started arriving today. Same gun different sights and barrel.
  3. Thanks, I am interested in picking up a shotgun, to start 3 gun. I am leaning towards the Beretta.

    New Rules

I have only participated in 4 matches in the last 2 years, major surgeries. The 4th was today. On my first stage we did the walk through, several had shot the stage, I was next, while others were pasting I wanted to see the targets from the required kneeling position. Man was I jumped, no individual walk through s. I explained I was next and had always done this, not anymore. I will not make that mistake again.
  5. Shot the match Saturday. Wish I could have done stage 6 over. Great match.
  6. I have a Colt Super 38. The mags that come with the gun are 9 rds. I also have some Chip Mccormick 10 rounders. I plan on using the Mccormicks with 9 rounds in the mags. Is this a violation or is this ok? This is for ESP division..
  7. I liked the kit, but at a match I had the trigger bind up on me twice. It has only happened at that one match. Took the gun apart when I returned home and couldn't find anything wrong.
  8. I am running my g19 for competiton this year. My gun is stock. I reload a 124 grain fmj with 4.1 grains of tite group. The 2 matches I have shot so far this year I have done my best. It is the person behind the trigger.
  9. I have a g22 and a g35. I used the g35 last year for L10, production and SSp in Idpa. I started using my G22 this year and for me I am faster with the G22. The G22 gets on target faster for me.
  10. Is the extended mag release legal for production? How about the guide rod?
  11. Shooting a match yesterday a shooter on my squad was behind cover, his gun has the slide locked back. Drops the empty mag on the ground, goes to retrieve a full mag and in his haste the full mag goes flying 4ft behind him. He then grabs another mag to finish the stage. Should he have left cover to retrive the full mag? Is this the proper call? I just consider this a motor skill malfunction.
  12. Yes 112 shooters. Linden Sportsman Club in Michigan. Always put on great matches. They are shooting cdp. I just looked up the scores again. I thought they might be shooting esp.
  13. I have been squaded with the same people at the last 2 Idpa matches. 2 of the people are using Paras with 10 rd mags filled to capacity. I noticed this after watching them shoot several stages and their slide lock reloads were not the same as mine. I wonder if this is a real concern to anybody? What should be done? Maybe they don't know the rules? maybe they do. The club puts on great matches, and the ROs do a great job of running the squads. I know they can't catch every thing. Running 112 shooters makes for a busy day
  14. i have both, i would go with the g30
  15. i think a slide mounted safety would put you at a disadvantage. i also second the ca 75 sa. frame mounted safety. also the 9rd mag capacity is one shy, but isn't really a problem. if you buy it and you like it have fun. after all isn't that what shooting is all about.
  16. just recieved info that i am c class in production. just started shooting ipsc in july. i feel good since this is my first classification
  17. shot my clubs second annual law enforcement shoot. this is shot by law enforcement officers in my county, and club members. this is done over two days and it is basically a ppc event. last yr i placed 5th out of all our club members, they don't post leo scores. well comparing my scores with last yrs, i topped last yrs by 40 pts on one course and by 50 on the other. i will have to wait till next week to find out how i did overall. in reality i am a winner, my practice has paid off.
  18. i agree with mgm. being new to uspa, i say leave it as is. i don't here people complaining about to many divisions.
  19. johnl that was me, i'm hooked. thanks again.
  20. i agree on the needing to improve on my part. ipsc showed me this.
  21. what was your feeling on your first ipsc match? i attended my first match today, livingston gun club.the people at this shoot were great. helpful right from the start. guys were giving pointers, had a great time. having shot a couple of idpa matches at my club, i think i like this ipsc better. reloading on the move, courses set up that you decide how you are going to shoot. and alot of steel poppers. i am hooked. i will be attending future matches. thanks livinston gun club for putting on a great match.
