  1. Do you run the same bullet set up with a 6" gun as you would in a 5" gun?..? That would make my decision easer !!!! From what I understand the 6" guns like a little lighter bullet but I see no reason why you can't run the same load. You will get a little more velocity out of the longer barrel. Jeff
  2. OK try to keep my story short. Just got my 1st limited gun and am thinking about putting in an order for a backup gun. The gun I have now is a 5" sight tracker. I was thinking of going 6" for my backup gun either sight tracker or non. Who knows I might like the 6" more. Would love to hear from some people that have shot both 6" fat free style S_I guns vs cut up 6" sight trackers. Thanks in advance - Jeff
  3. True that! Many folks think that lubing the cases is not necessary with the carbide version but that would is not correct. In addition, pushing lubed cases through the die is much more effortless than trying to push "dry" cases. Never had an issue with my carbide die. No lube is necessary...but I use a redding turret press with a long handle and go to the gym often. Jeff
  4. Check out BAM airsoft. They have great targets if you don't want to make your own and some great videos on how to setup a course of fire. Jeff
  5. +1 for carbon arms. 1st time using with less than 1 hr of practice and I was doing 7 sec, 8 round reloads. Super easy to use. Best to open the loading port on the shotgun.
  6. The grip is an anodized old style sti aluminum grip. The finish is Matt's black nitride. Not sure how it will wear but you can contact him for more info.
  7. Get a air soft gun that is like the gun you shoot for competition. I shoot a Tokyo Mauri hi caps 5.1 for the airsoft gun and a sti for competition. Same same.
  8. Its an old style STI aluminum anodized black. Fit by Matt Cheely of course.
  9. Yep its old style STI aluminum grip anodized black. J
  10. Getting my New Matt Cheely gun all kitted out and need a recommendation for precut grip tape. Matt recommended Dawson or Eric Wesselman's TruGrip. He said TruGrip was his choice if you can find it. Has anyone used one vs the other? I can not find anyone who stocks TruGrip. Thanks for your help guys. Jeff
  11. Fire! Thumb rest for 2013? Yep, a little preemptive thinking. Trying to stay ahead of the curve. J
  12. I have a CR Speed thumb rest on my Open gun, but I got to handle a DAA the other day and that definitely seems like the way to go. Especially on a Limited gun that doesn't have a scope mount, you'll want the built-in shield that the DAA has so you don't stop the slide with your thumb. Off topic, is that one of the new STI aluminum grips? It is an STI aluminum grip but I believe it is the old style that Matt Fitted. It was anodized black. Thanks Jeff
  13. Its in the mail! and only after a years wait but I am super excited . Thanks Matt
  14. My new limited gun is on its way from Matt Cheely and I had him drill and tap the frame for a thumb rest for the new rule changes for limited 2013. Trying to decide which thumb rest to try. Its either going to be the GoGas *thumb rest [generic]* or the DAA adjustable thumb rest. Looking for opinions from people who have used either one or both. I am leaning towards the DAA adj. as we are all made a little different. Thanks Jeff Included a pic of the new blaster!
  15. Sorry guys didn't know we couldn't sell outside classifieds. Jeff
  16. I have a us optics 1-4 like new with lund 3 gun bdc reticle I am trying to sell for $800. It can be seen at cwpsa website where I purchased it from. $1500 new. Amazingly fast reticle. I am upgrading to a 1-6. Let me know if you are interested? Jeff
  17. I bought a gladiator work bench with wood top and it is rock solid. Believe it was from Sears, but I know u can buy them from other outlets.
  18. SVI recommends against using the aluminum grips unless it is a seldom fired gun (see their FAQ). I haven't seen any negative reports about their steel grips. the only gripe is the price. OUCH!!!!!! ... and they are a boat anchor.

    CZ Pro Tec 2

eerw I carry a M&Pc now and would like to add a DA/SA gun to my carry collection. I am a little concerned with the size of the cz protec gun. According to the companies respective websites the cz is slightly larger. I am 6', 155 and I would think that it would be hard and uncomfortable to carry much bigger than the M&P. Any thoughts would be appreciated as the cz custom gun is not cheap. Thanks Jeff
  23. I have a like new us optic SN4 with lund 3 gun reticle for sale $800. Check them out on Chris winning website. Jeff
