  1. benelli gave me details of the screw. I got 3/56 2.5x.45
  2. Hey guys, I purchased a HK marked m1 a few weeks ago and the guy who i got it from had removed the rear ghost ring and made a custom weaver mount to mount a scope using the existing screw holes. I just went to re assemble the rear sight assembly and noticed that the screw which is supposedly called the "retaining sliding screw" had been broken. On the rear sight assembly, there are 2 screws, the previous mentioned and the elevation screw. Both are the same size, which is 3/56 but the elevation screw is longer then the other. I called Benelli and they said that they could not help me get a new one or locate someone who would have it. I called and ordered a screw from Numrich, but upon arrival, it was the wrong size!!! Any recommendations where i can find this little itty bitty screw? Ive called midway with no luck. I feel like i have exhausted my google and gun related site searching. Hopefully someone can help me track this darn thing down!!!
  3. What sam adams said is completely true.. Joe is a friend and i shoot with him weekly and as far as the state matches go, the only clubs we get to consistently are youngstown, ashland, and start. Neither Ytown or START could run a match because of range size. Ashland would be great again, i think they hosted in 09. We are heavy involved trying to get a local PA club up to snuff for a state match. It is extremely close to YTown area and they are shooting for next yr.
  4. coldbore and boresight do great stuff, but the best ive had done is from ATEI. They charged $140 and it is the best looking stuff ive ever seen done.
  5. Bob was infact approached and the 2 sides couldnt reach an agreement. Glock wants ALOT out of their shooters where as his sponsors now do not micromanage him. For example, NRA 12 in St. Louis, Bob was out in Youngstown doing a competition training class that i was hosting for him. That would never happen if he would have been with Glock. But that is kinda the trend of Glock, stubborn and highly resistent to change. Bob for some strange reason loves OHIO and hes a small town family man. But you are right MDA, hes turned down quite a few companies.
  6. KC is an amazing shooter and I dont take anything away from him, but it is an absolute joke that Glock did not work with Vogel. He is the "man" right now and the best semi auto action shooter in the game and a good guy to boot. He has represented himself using Glock's since his 2nd year shooting competition and hasnt played into the market like some other shooters, jesse harrison(or whatever her name is now) are doing.
  7. Sounds like the JP is my only option then. I guess thats not a bad thing, normally its way harder to make a decision
  8. Dawson's +5 work just fine - no issues. Im speaking of it being legal in IDPA. I have some arrendondo extensions that will work with some, but im not sure if there even legal to be used in IDPA.
  9. I was looking at the JP. What floorplates are you using with them? I like the dawson and ive used it a few times in uspsa, buti highly doubt it will work, correct?
  10. I have a 34 that i use primarily for ESP, I am wanting to take full advantage of the division. Does anyone know if any of the magwell offerings out there will work for IDPA? fit in the box w/o modifying the magwell
  11. Hey guys! I understand there are a lot more recommended powders for 40 out there, but i have an abundance of solo and id like to use some up. There is tons of good info out there and i have used the search function, but there is ALOT of info to route through so i figured id start my own thread. I am looking for some loads that are a little over IDPA power floor.
  12. Has anyone tried this combination? I noticed accurate does not show load data, but i have an abundance of S1000 and would like to use some up if i could. It'll be pushing some 158 RN and 125 XTP's.
  13. You are right, but comparing prices on 231 and 320 is a big difference right there. Once I figure out what i would like to use, i am indeed going to buy an 8lb and get to loading. We will see what the wst and solo 1000 does. Im making test packets tomorrow
  14. I think I've made a mistake starting this thread.. I've been considering doing 2-tone/ off-set controls on my Trojan (Above..), now that I've seen your Spartan, it's becoming UN-bearable NOT doing it.. Mine'll be black controls on a hard chromed slide/receiver gun though.. Nice gun..! Thanks! It does look pretty sharp. Ive been messing around with cerakote and gunkote for a while now doing slide and frames for friends and this was actually my first attempt on one of my own
  15. So I picked up a lb of solo 1000 and WST today. Id like to be around 1030 FPS, where should i start with either? Will be lead 124 and some Bayou 124's, but mostly cast
  16. I will agree with the others, do not buy a Taurus. I would say Spartan, Trojan, or Springer 9mm if you can find one
  17. Yes Clays. With the 124, I need to get to 1008 FPS and I dont think it can be achieved until about 3.5-3.6
  18. My OAL is 1.14. Do you guys think I am safe going up to about 3.6 when hodgon's says the max is 3.3?
  19. LCN? I use Titegroup with my jacketed rounds and Solo 1000 with my molys soon to be Bayou bullets. Seems to be the general consensus! Thanks
  20. Any recommendations where to start with 200 gr SWC?
  21. I would love to use another type of bullet, but it is really hard to beat my local casting shop. Mastercast.net They are local and prices are awesome. I run a gun shop with a few other buddies and we get dealer pricing from them, 125 LCN's are running $45/1k. I tried to get a huge bulk order together to go through BB. We were right under 30,000 and the best Donny could do is retail with free shipping, so $68/1k for the same gr bullet. At this stage in the game( recent college grad, who wants to put a lot of rounds downrange and get to a higher level of shooting and does not currently have a CAREER) I am looking for quantity opposed to quality in bullets. To be honest, I have done no more in load development other than running through chrono for PF. I know I need to do some accuracy testing sooner than later as well, but honestly a lot with reloading still confuses me. I got into loading this past year and essentially the only thing i would say i have mastered is running the 650. And unlike my friends who got into reloading through shooting rifles and were very particular with powder charge, OAL, primer depth, on and off lands, and accuracy--I do not have this experience, so I really appreciate all the advice you guys are giving me!!! I am starting to learn how to tell different recoil impulses and recoil curve. Its a whole other aspect of shooting!! I thought just learning how to run the gun as good as i could was the hard part, Boy was I wrong!
  22. Im with everyone else! I get as high as I can safely. I shoot a lot of 1911's so Im used to being up high.
