  1. I did my own as well. I agree that the hardest part is that first prick of the needle. When I was finished I was looking for something else to stipple. It was a blast and I really like how it turned out.
  2. I have the glockworx trigger and played with a Vanek trigger this weekend. They are both good. Both have some better features than the other. I like the way the glockworx trigger breaks better then the Vanek, but I like the feel of the Vanek better. Specifically the plastic, vs the alum. I find that aluminum trigger and the safety in it bite my trigger finger with really hot loads. I have the Dawson Ice alum magwell and love it. I stippled my own grip. I really had issues with that extended slide stop for a while. I just went back to stock and haven't had any issues since.
  3. I shoot the Bayou Bullets out of both a glock barrel and a lone wolf and have had NO residue what so ever. Highly recommend Bayou Bullets.
  4. Donnie is good people. You will like him.
  5. How did this issue get resolved? I have an STS on the way and i am concerned now that I am reading your post.
  6. I used Duracoat with a cheapo air brush on my glock slide. I got excited and didn't quite follow all the surface prep guidelines and it looked like crap after about a month. Paint peeling and scraping off. Blasted the duracoat off and a little more, recoated it, and it has held up fine since then. Looks better too. My first time around I topcoated with Matte clear. The matte finish, like flat wall paint seemed to get dirty easier. I went with semi gloss clear this time and and carbon or residue on it just wipes off with a rag.
  7. I built my own. I spent more than an SJC but that is because I did it on my own without reading much on these threads and ended up with a pile of parts that wouldn't work for some reason or another. I don't think that at my level, I would be able to see much difference in my home build vs a SJC. I haven't fired an SJC either though so take that for what it's worth. BTW, anybody I have ever heard say "money is no object" usually was lying. People for whom "money is no object" rarely ever admit it.
  8. I'm absolutely interested in the specs of your template. I tried a few mag pouches and they didn't come out nearly that good.
  9. From Louisiana. Been trolling for a while. Decided it was time to join up and see if I can contribute a bit.
