Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. That was actually a good watch, thanks for that! I was debating on a few of the training ones myself.
  2. Thanks! Only one range session with her but hopefully Thursday will be the first competition!
  3. Are you guys using real mags for this or have you picked up the blue fake ones?
  4. I probably should have gone Shadow 2 for CO but had a 2011 desire. So I went 2011 for LO. Hah. Might end up with a Shadow depending on local competition.
  5. Long time member, no idea what happened to my post count so here we are hah!! took years off from competition and just got my 2011 for limited optics. Super excited to come back to the sport!!
  6. Hey guys, long time member who took about 10 years off from competition, #kids hah. Wanted to say hi and here’s a post from my build 13 years ago! I used this for IDPA previously! January 1st 2010 I purchased my first 1911. By nature I tinker with things. After shooting the gun as is for a few months I decided to slowly work into things and replace parts one at a time, well that was the plan at least. So I decided to start with a new trigger. Well that means I need the full ignition set, so while in there why not do a grip safety and thumb safety right? It all needs fitted together anyway. The madness never ended but boy did I learn a lot. All the work was done by myself with big help from a friend and the machine work was done by the legend Dave Erickson himself. I tried to do as much as I could without having a horrible looking weapon! Dave Erickson, what can I say? Top-notch work! Thanks for the countless emails and phone calls discussing what would be best for the look I wanted to achieve while staying in my budget. I felt that Dave really was there to help, not just to make money. He suggested spending a little less money with him by not doing some cuts to make sure the rest of the gun would be finished. The suggestions and information Dave provided was priceless. Well enough blabbing, onto the parts list and pictures!!! Full dehorne of all new parts along with the slide and frame.
