  1. AI has been repurchased and AI stuff is available again.
  2. This thread is fixed for me now, since I did a full "add reply" and not just a "fast reply." I just subscribed to another thread to determine if that's working or not. Over the last few months, I distinctly remember going to a thread I thought I had subscribed to, seeing many new posts in it, and then hitting subscribe again to make sure, and then it saying error, already subscribed. Again, there are no problems on my server's end. When I fail to get notifications, the BE server never attempts a SMTP connection to my box. -z ETA: IMO, it is TOTALLY BROKEN that a "fast reply" does not subscribe you if you have auto-sub set in your preferences.
  3. The FAST REPLY option does NOT subscribe me, even though I have auto-subscribe set. That still doesn't explain why threads I've hit "subscribe" on do not email me...
  4. Can I get it again for twice the bonus points?
  5. Yes, my email address is correct. If it were wrong, I would get zero notifications, not 5% of them. I have gone to threads I have failed to get notifications for, hit thread options -> subscribe, and it says error, already subscribed. Something is clearly broken, and it's not just me. -z
  6. I don't even see attempted SMTP connections to my server.
  7. See, I didn't get that one either. I have "enabled email notification by default" ON, and the other case is threads that I subscribe to with the control at the bottom of the thread.
  8. I also miss virtually all notification emails, which makes participating effectively here difficult. No, they aren't getting caught by a spam filter. No, the BE server never attempts to contact my mail server... -z
  9. Start with new springs, or better yet, new USGI mags.
  10. Semi-auto rifles are OK as long as they comply with the caliber restriction (6/243 - 300WM). Your AR-10T is fine. I used to shoot my JP AR10 at this match, and we've had at least 3 other AR10's show up. In the interest of time, each squad is provided a range card which details the approximate location of each target along with its distance from the shooting position in yards. For the first matches, people often brought their LRFs and re-ranged the targets, but I haven't done so since last summer. It would be difficult to range these using mildots since they are not of uniform size. Let me know if you have any other questions. Zak
  11. The match is not limited to bolt guns. The restriction is that the caliber must be larger than 243/6mm and no larger than 300WM.
  12. Don't be scared away by lack of "bolt gun" experience. It's still early in the year and there's lots of time to get halfway competent as long as you practice at long range, arbitrary distance a couple times a month between now and the ITRC. To simplify the "rifle" problem, just get something more or less "stock" for which you can buy factory match ammo, like a Remington 700 (PSS) in 308, 30-06, or 300WM, stick a Leupold M1 scope on it, and call it good.
  13. At the ITRC last year, a 50 point penalty (IIRC) per obstacle per team member was assessed for bypassed items on the obstacle course, run during stage 3 prior to engaging targets. At the Tiger Valley 3Gun match, if you catastrophically failed to retrieve the key on the pistol/shotgun stage, you might end up getting stuck in the "jail cell" and either hit max time (was there one?) with no points and tons of penalties, or get realistically a 20-40 second penalty while you climbed out. -z

  15. The FN SPR and Sako TRG-42 rifles have chrome lined barrels and they shoot good. Some elsewhere have suggested that most CL AR15 barrels aren't as accurate as they could be because they don't start with match quality blanks nor take extra pains to ensure consistent lining. I don't have any data about it, though. -z
  16. By the way, the procedure for match cancellation is this: We typically know whether or not the match will be held by Wed night, after Mike contacts the staff at the NRAWC. [ link to LARGER image ]
  17. The 2005 schedule has been posted since late Dec and is the first Sunday of every month, January - September, except July which is TBD. I'll try to post reminders here, but I don't always get to it. Again, the web-site is http://demigod.org/srm Here are some pictures from the March 6th match: Weather was great, wind was tricky as usual. We were done by 1:30PM. 18. Bought and sold probably 10 total and it's been great. But it's important to do your research and CYA. -z
  19. We don't know yet. Everyone's hoping for te former.
  20. Thanks, I'll try the SGC. As for sales, it's hard to find AI rifles in stock at their largest US dealer, so they've got to be moving well. -z
  21. It's not that at all.. I want to get more stuff for it, and then a 338 next year.
