Ok, shot my third match and things are getting better. I now have my mag holsters setup properly. I really need to replace the front sight with the FO as it is hard to pickup the front blade during night steel matches. I searched for the ILS m ainspring housing but could not find much on replacing it, will create a seperate post for this. I loaded up 16 dummy rounds so I can practice reloads with proper weight, just need to get on it. On another post someone said they are running 3.8 grains of N320 behind a 230 RN bullet, I am very curious if this makes major PF? I am currently running 4.8 grains of N320 but would love to soften up the load a bit. I think I will work up some progressivly lighter loads and see how they run.

I believe that those born before the 50's are a different breed. They have most def seen much harder times than those born after.

Ahhh, good point. Never thought about loading up some long range.

Are you shooting the CZ in Production as well? If you moved to Limited it might "feel faster" because you stepped up your ammo capacity ie: fewer reloads.....

Thanks MarkCO, so basically the only thing you can change is the mag...

I have shot both on my Mossberg 500. I think the recoil is the same but it "feels" less with the pistol grip. One drawback with the pistol grip on the 500 is you can't reach the safety while holding the pistol grip from ready. You have to come off the grip, drop the safety then regrip and shoot.

Quick question. Lets say your shooting a 3 gun match based on USPSA rules. Could you change from shooting a a 5.56 upper to a 6.5 Grendel upper for long range stages?

My current target load is 4.8 grains of N320 with a 230 grain RN bullet. FYI, Just switched from 9mm to .45 so I am trying to use up my N320. Once this is gone, I am thinking of switching to Hodgson clays. I have heard it is fairly clean and meters well. Anyone know what a similar load would be with Clays that still makes PF? Thanks in advance.

Kind of off topic but the last 10 seconds of the video really helped me to see how his arms acted like progressive shock absorbers. Made me realize I might be trying to absorb or control all the recoil with my hands/wrists (causing too tight a grip) instead of using more forearms.....

Looks like I need to pick up the pace on cleaning. How long to detail strip, clean and put it back together? What about time for a newbie?

I have some ideas I am toying around with but need some help defining "speed loaders" per the USPSA. Can someone direct me to their official definition of speed loaders? Mainly I need to know if one hand movement that loads more than one shell into the gun is considered a speed loader? What about one hand movement that loads 2 shells, one hand movement that loads 3 shells, and so on. Thanks in advance.

Shot my first steel match last night. My gun hates 200gr moly coated SWC bullets. I am currently using shooting star 8rnd mags and a 14lbs recoil spring but, also tried a Wilson ETM mag and it jammed up with these reloads as well. I find it hard to believe (not impossible) that this bullet design is even considered. I don't feel like messing with OAL to get them to run, will use them for training. I am moving on to 230gr Frontier RN bullets. Does anyone have any pet loads for Vhit N320 with a recommended OAL? Also still looking for an answer on the Dawson FO front sight post height??

Dawson Precision lists .160, .180, and .200 height for fiber optic front sights. How do I know which height is right for my gun, do I just measure my current front sight post and match it?

Just some additional findings here. The grip safety bites kind of hard on the web of my hand, anything I can DIY to relieve this? Also, what springs can I install to help lighten up the trigger pull?

Just jumped into single stack with my first 1911, a Springfield Loaded Target in .45 Looking to convert the front to a fiber optic, which one is the best value and fits best? I really liked my orange .150 on my CZ. I hate to lose the front night sight but I already know that it won't show up against the white steel at night. Can someone tell me what magazines this gun likes, not what you like but the gun!!! Lets just start with that. Thanks in advance.
